Raven's POV:
I stood there, listening intently as the distant footsteps finally faded away. The sound of my own breathing echoed in the small, sterile space as I turned to look around, realizing exactly where I had dragged Lucian. Oh no. It's the ladies' washroom. Kill me now. I was locked in here with him, of all people. Lucian. I thought I'd run out of bad luck, but apparently not.
The ladies' washroom! with a guy!.
Seriously, just end my miserable life.
I quickly moved to peek under the two stalls to make sure we were alone. To my relief, the place was empty—no one else in sight. Universe, thank you. For once, you're on my side.
Lucian, however, didn't seem to care about the location we'd found ourselves in. He stood there, watching me like I was some kind of delinquent, his eyes never leaving me. I could feel the weight of his gaze like a physical presence. He didn't even flinch, just watched, his smirk widening as I looked around, uncomfortable and on edge.
