Chapter 12 - Chapter 12

Lucifer has hated me for a very long time.

It all started when I granted humanity magic, an act that shook the foundation upon which Lucifer built Devil kind's superiority over humanity, for in this universe Devils are no more than mutated humans.

Humanity served as the basis but to create an army that could contend with heaven Lucifer and Lilith bound Demonic Energy to their essence thus creating Devils that wielded Devil Magic.

However the outcome was not to Lucifer's liking, for the Devils he created were little better than the humans he so despised. Devil Magic opened a path for them to improve themselves, but that would take both time and effort, on top of that their limits were set in stone. Devils not born of the 72 pillars or of the blood of the Satans can, given immense effort, reach the peak of High Class in strength or for the rare few barely step a foot into the Ultimate Class.

However the very fact that they could reach so high whilst being considered no more than Low Class in terms of status made them the perfect example of Devil superiority.

Then I came around and Witches and Wizards followed.

Humanity was no longer weak by nature, magicals had the innate potential to reach into the Middle Class whilst High Class was reserved for the best of them.

The beliefs upon which Devil society was built collapsed overnight.

Devils were now just another magical race, worst they had weaknesses that can be taken advantage of. Merely speaking God's name is enough to bring most Devils to their knees.

If that was not enough then Light is another weakness that can be weaponised against them.

As for the Holy element, Wizards do not have access to it, but that is a small consolation when those you grew looking down upon turned into your equals overnight.

The blow to the devils was subtle but its impact spread like a plague.

The devils could have erased the magicals but that might have sparked the war early, so instead Lucifer and Lilith decided to do what they do best and corrupt the newly risen subspecies of humanity.

The outcome is well known, they succeeded and in my fury I exterminated most of humanity leaving a handful who were under Elohim's protection to start anew.

I never forgave Lucifer for his actions but the same applied for him, he continued to hate me but more so what I represent, a human who rose to the peak on their own.

At this point we are Irreconcilable enemies, a battle between us was only a matter of time once the great war starts.

But now that he believes me dead Lucifer is moving to erase my legacy.

Too bad for him I am not in the mood to fight.

Instead I will give him a taste of human ingenuity as both a warning and to demonstrate my displeasure.

I quickly teleported to the outskirts of my domain just in case, then I used the schematics stored in my "Insight" ability to create countless missiles, but of course these are no ordinary projectiles, No, these are nukes. Over thirty thousand of them…

Because yes, I intend to nuke the underworld, and when I say the underworld I mean the entirety of it, not just the army Lucifer is mustering.

I will turn that place into a living hell.

As for possible reprisals? Please, don't be absurd. What can Lucifer do to me? He only decided to act once he believed me dead, that's because he knows that his chances against me aren't just low but almost nonexistent.

He stands at the very peak of the God Class but now that he is no longer an angel, he no longer benefits from the empowerment granted by his father, this means that in pure power he is weaker than how he used to be during his archangel days, though he compensates for his loss in power by gaining more abilities.

But to me none of that matters, I have long ago analysed Lucifer, I know exactly what he is capable of, and because of that I am the last person that would ever fear him.

As for the power of his faction, I will not deny that the Devil faction has a greater number of powerhouses than mine does, but all of that becomes meaningless when you consider that their five Satan Class beings, those being Lucifer, Beelzebub, Asmodeus, Leviathan and Zekram Bael, are guaranteed to lose at least half their number in a battle against Sarra and myself.

Even then given my powerset I can be defeated but killing me is a whole other story.

But what really matters is that a war between our two factions would mean an end to Lucifer's ambition of challenging his father.

Back to the matter at hand I need to give him his Christmas present, wait, Christmas isn't a thing yet… Eh who cares, if he lives long enough then he will understand.

I can't target the cities since the space around them is sealed but other important facilities are fair game, as for Lucifer and his army I will forcibly tear a rip in space to directly target them.

And that's exactly what I did, with my Insight I could see my gifts being delivered in real time.

Each destroyed an important location whether it be a mine, a farm, a village or any other target that could interest me all went up in flame, worst the radiation was quickly spreading. This will hopefully reduce the Devil's Low Class population, thus hindering the development of their faction at large.

I finally manage to forcibly tear through the space separating me and my greatest target and the moment I did Lucifer shot me a glare that could kill.

A nice shiver went down my spine, Oh how I love to see those eyes blazing with hate and loathing.

No doubt he can feel the thousands who are dead or dying. He is considered by the world to be the father of Devils thus his ability to vaguely understand the status of his creations.

I shot him a taunting smile before I let the nukes drop.

"Really Lucy, did you think that I would die? I am honestly disappointed in you…"

Ohh… the sheer hate I could feel emanating from him… I absolutely love it!

Hmm, perhaps I could capture him during the great war? Making a pet out of Lucifer… just thinking about it makes me wet.

"Merry Christmas motherfucker!"

I need release, to my harem I go!

The outcome of my little prank on the Devils was somewhat underwhelming, they acted as if nothing happened and continued with their preparations for the coming war with Heaven.

Devils are too proud to recognise that I got one over on them.

Except Lucifer who went home furious and who decided to use Lilith to let out his frustrations.

The outcome of which was the conception of who I believe to be Rizevem.

Hah, the brat will have me to thank for being born.

Back to me, I've had it easy since my clash with Cronos.

I mostly focussed on a new project of mine, one that originates from my universally acknowledged position as the de facto Mother of Humanity.

All living humans descend from me granting me the role and authority of Patron Mother of Humanity although in truth this title and subsequent authority should have belonged to my mother Eve. However due to all the remaining humans being my descendants and the muddled state of history, I unintentionally usurped her position.

Though knowing her she must be happy that I am acknowledged as such since it will allow me to better monitor mankind.

I intend to make use of the authority granted to me to create a few things starting with a library that will automatically recreate anything written by anyone who descends from me.

This pet project of mine is intended to keep a record of all of humanity's achievements, as well as safeguarding human history.

To me it feels like when a mother takes out her camera to take pictures of you whenever anything of great significance happens.

I've been working on this project for a while now and I finally got things running properly, all that's left is creating a team of librarians that will keep things in order.

With a wave of my hand 200 Level 30 and 1000 Level 10 NPCs were created, as soon as they got a hold of themselves they immediately got to work.

No doubt I will need to create more of them in the future but for now they will do.

I teleported back home for someone I intend to put in charge of the Library of Eve, because yes that's what I named it, after all I wanted to honor the real mother of humanity.

It is thanks to her that I was able to create this library with so little trouble.

As I walked towards the wing of my palace meant for my children I ran into the two I was looking for.

Sarra and our daughter Sahara, a book worm and magic enthusiast, for in truth the library was meant as a present for her.

You might wonder why I would care so much about one of the thousands of children I've had, well the answer is quite simple, she is the girl I had with Sarra when our relationship became a real thing.

I won't deny that I love and care for her more than I do my other children, parents always have their favorites, but the fact remains that she is now 24 and it is time for her to make something of herself.

"Ahh, just the one I was looking for! Come with me I have something to show you."

I didn't give either one of them time to answer and instead teleported back to the library the moment I took their hands into mine.

In front of us was a massive mansion built in the Baroque style of architecture.

Knowing better than to struggle when I am in the mood for mischief, Sahara merely allowed herself to be dragged in and as soon as she saw what was within her mouth dropped to the floor.

She immediately understood that this was my gift to her.

"Happy Birthday! This is our present to you, this library will contain all the knowledge mankind will ever discover from this day onwards."

Celebrations lasted a day and a night and in the morning I took out a Guild Core which serves as the customary present given to all of my children when they decide to leave the nest. Within it is enough power to materielise a mansion and enough life force for about 20 Level 1 servants however Sahara holds a special place in our hearts so I empowered it so that it may create a miniature subdimension along with enough life force for 3 Level 100 NPCs or an army's worth of low level NPCs.

"Thank you father I will cherish it, the library that is, I don't think I will ever make use of this guild core."

"Ohh don't be like that, it's a subdimension, do you know how many would kill to get their hands on it, but even if you won't use it as a home at least make use of the life force within and create some NPCs. Running this library will take a great many hands and that's not to mention the need to defend it from those that would want to miss use it. I have yet to make the existence of the Library of Eve public but once I do you will be the one to protect it. You might be in the upper half of the Ultimate Class, but in the great scheme of things, that doesn't mean much."

I do intend to post guards to protect the Library, but I still want guards that will fully focus on protecting her, she is precious to me the way few ever are.

She frowned, "You're right I could use some help but more than that I will need others to help me keep an eye on things."

I might have tricked her a bit but it's for the best.

"One last thing…" I brought forth two things from my special pocket "...I had these prepared for you." On my right hand was a fruit I consumed at the start of my journey, the fruit of immortality. On my left hand was a newly created Philosopher's Stone, with it she will be able to produce liquid life force for those who might decide to dedicate their life to serving her and the library.

Being used to me doting on her she did not hesitate to bite into the fruit followed by her storing the Stone in her own pocket space.

Sarra moved in to hug her daughter followed by a kiss on her forehead.

"Don't be a stranger and visit us often." she insisted.

"I will, mother…" answered Sahara, her eyes shifting to the books flying from one place to another.

"One last thing, don't forget your training, I intend for you to become the third Leader Class of our faction but I will only help you ascend when you reach the peak of your current rank."

Usually I would wait and observe her as she ages since the thoughts and feelings of people change over time but honestly for once I want to take a real leap of faith and trust that she will not disappoint me as many have in the past.

"I will father, I will resume training once the library is in order."

Well damn, guess that will never happen.

I brought forth another guild cristal and invested enough life force for a thousand Level 1 NPCs, they will serve as staff and hopefully this way I won't have to wait a millenia for her to succeed.

Oh who am I kidding, she will never leave her library.
