Chapter 240 - Chapter 241: Summer Plans

Chapter 241: Summer Plans

The most important matter was staying at school for the summer holidays.

Just think about it: Hogwarts Castle housed so many books that a wizard could spend their entire life reading only a fraction of them.

After the students departed on the Hogwarts Express, the professors would be completely free, available for one-on-one guidance almost anytime, anywhere, every single day.

Just thinking about it made Sean's heart race.

As before, the application to stay over the summer required three recommendation letters and a record of special contributions.

Sean figured he had already accomplished that.

Next was the grand opening of Weasley & Green's Wizard Wheezes.

The shop was scheduled to open in the second week of the summer holidays, stocked to the brim with products waiting for eager wizards to purchase.

Every wizard in Britain had heard of this rising joke shop, and many of its products were already bestsellers.

If you hadn't heard the shop's name—that was fine, as the name had only been revealed recently; before that, wizards simply referred to it as Shop Number 93. But you had certainly heard of their products:

The pinnacle of wizarding entertainment, Weird Wizard's Chess; the magical Animal Party Biscuit series; Anti-Jinx Helmets; Skiving Snackboxes...

Any one of these items alone would be a bestseller, and now they were all gathered under one roof.

The enthusiasm of British wizards was nearly enough to overwhelm the shop manager, Gertie, who had complained to Sean more than once about needing more staff.

Sean had no intention of missing the opening of Weasley & Green's Wizard Wheezes, nor did he plan to refuse Mrs. Weasley's invitation.

In fact, he was very curious about The Burrow. It was a house built entirely by magic.

No alchemist would refuse a chance to see it.

Finally, he would spend half a month at the McGonagall villa.

Sean easily mapped out his summer studies—researching alchemy at The Burrow, practicing Transfiguration at the McGonagall villa, and finally returning to his familiar Hogwarts.

But right now, he needed to find Professor Snape.

The dungeons were as gloomy and damp as ever. Professor Snape gave Sean a cold look.

"Weasleys... a bunch of dunderheads..."

He didn't finish the sentence, instead looking at Sean with a sinister expression.

"If I say... no..."

Sean nodded, indicating he understood.

It looked like he would be grinding the final 10,000 proficiency points for Transfiguration at Hogwarts.

"Not... impossible..."

Professor Snape added gloomily.

Time flew by.

The final Quidditch match arrived.

In the increasingly bright changing room by the Quidditch pitch, Oliver Wood addressed his six players. His suppressed tone carried a sense of finality.

"This is our best chance to win the Quidditch Cup—we must consider whether it might be the only chance of our lives!"

He paced back and forth in front of the team, telling them:

"We are only one hundred and forty points behind Ravenclaw, and only one hundred points behind Slytherin. Win the Quidditch Cup! Then we can secure victory for the House Cup! Gryffindor hasn't won in five years... there will never be another opportunity this good."

Wood swallowed hard, as if the memory of those past defeats still choked him.

"But we also know that we are the best—the absolute best—team in the school! Let's go, lads and lasses!"

The Gryffindors marched out with a resolute fighting spirit.

On the other side.

"Fight them to the end! Everyone!"

Roger Davies, acting as temporary captain, was giving his speech.

"Ravenclaw's lead will not be challenged. We will end Slytherin's winning streak, and we will crush Gryffindor's ambition!

"With our honed skills, with the tactics we've poured our blood and sweat into writing! We have prepared ten thousand ways to deal with them, and ten thousand plans to win!

"We—are the best team Ravenclaw has ever seen!"

So the Ravenclaws marched out with an invincible determination.

Cheers and shouts filled the air everywhere.

The members of the Room of Hope found themselves in an awkward position—who should they support?

On the pitch, Harry's anxiety reached its peak. His palms were sweating nervously, but then he saw a familiar paper airplane float over:

[Going all out is the greatest form of respect.]

Sean nodded at him.

The stands were packed. Lee Jordan provided passionate commentary:

"Ravenclaw and Gryffindor take the field! We can see that both of these newly built teams possess fantastic strength—the match begins!

"Harry Potter! He's closed in on the Snitch directly—oh no—Sean Green is catching up! The match is incredibly intense; in just three minutes, both Seekers have shown the ability to end the game quickly—good heavens—"

The crowd in the stands was a mix of disbelief and jubilation.

Harry Potter was only half a body length behind Sean Green, but failed to catch the Golden Snitch. Gryffindor lost with regret.

"Well done—"

Professor McGonagall beamed with joy, standing up to applaud.

"Professor—what are you saying?"

Lee Jordan's eyes widened as he checked the score again. Hadn't they lost?

Professor McGonagall froze for a second, her emotions complicated.

"Heh—"

Professor Snape, on the other hand, began to applaud slowly and elegantly. He clapped deliberately loudly, causing Professor Minerva McGonagall to turn and glare at him.

Professor Snape silently stopped clapping.

However, he suddenly felt that having Green participate in a Quidditch match like this wasn't so bad after all.

And so, this highly anticipated match ended amidst surprised gazes.

Almost everyone was savoring that thrilling final moment.

Amidst the joyful atmosphere, the End-of-Term Feast approached.

Before the feast, a mysterious organization—the members of the Castle Kneazle Club—practically went mad turning Hogwarts upside down. In the time between the end of exams and the start of the holidays, they poured all their abundant energy into this pursuit.

No one knew who came up with the idea of searching at night, but the caretaker's office saw four or five young wizards lined up for detention at a time.

Mr. Filch was furious. These wretched brats—he had already made many concessions, yet they continued to provoke him!

It seemed their behavior had angered the messenger of the night, for the black cat symbolizing good luck never appeared again.

The frustrated club president said it was because they had started searching too late, while the vice-president believed the exact opposite.

In the last few days, the Weasleys practically became Sean's shadows. They would pop out from everywhere around him.

Sometimes from a flowerpot with dirt on their heads; sometimes hovering on broomsticks behind a window; they even knocked on Sean's window outside Ravenclaw Tower.
