Recently, Penelope was so busy that she could barely breathe. From small things like wedding bouquets, chandeliers in the banquet hall, to big things like the guest list and seating arrangements, she called her son-in-law more than her son.
"Emma, come home tonight. I need you to go with me to deliver the invitations."
Emma understood immediately. Actually, the Carter family didn't have many relatives left. Her aunt, Madison, didn't even come to her father's funeral. This time, she remarried, and she didn't want to bother her.
But suddenly, Madison asked for Penelope's new address and opened the door.
"Oh, who is this? It turns out to be the Carter family's careless younger sister."
Madison's face paled. "Sister-in-law, let me in. Let's go inside and talk."
If it weren't for the sake of saving face, Penelope wouldn't have let Madison into the house and would definitely have dragged the conversation out into the hallway.
