Bella's heart raced. She looked into the cold eyes of her eldest son, feeling that the answer was already clear before her.
"You're saying… it was Daniel."
"That's right. Mother, all of us were deceived by him. He orchestrated everything. That damned man was Daniel. Do you still think the child in Lucy's womb can be kept now? I haven't told her the truth yet. After the abortion is over, I will tell her slowly."
Adrian feared that if Lucy learned the truth, her body and mind would collapse. That would make her recovery even more difficult.
But for Bella, it was different.
In Adrian's heart, there was still a part of him that resented his mother.
