Chapter 122 - Chapter 122: Wise Ambition

"Do you want to work for me?"

Eichi's words reached Yuki's ears.

"What kind of work? How much does it pay?"

She assumed Eichi just needed her help, so she didn't refuse outright.

Although a bit of a slacker, Yuki was still a Special Grade Jujutsu Sorcerer. When she was abroad, she often helped people solve small issues and earned some spending money.

"About that, I wasn't planning on paying."

"Are you messing with me?"

A faint pound symbol appeared on Yuki's forehead.

'This brat denied my ideals, called me big sister, and now he wants me to work for free? Infuriating. Should I teach him some manners?'

Yuki was already mentally prepared. If Eichi's answer didn't satisfy her, she would give him a proper lesson in respecting his seniors.

"Your goal is to create a world without Cursed Spirits, meaning you don't want to see people dying because of them, right?"

"That's right."

Yuki nodded.

"I have an idea. Create a giant Barrier, and inside it, build a Small World that absorbs all the Cursed Energy leaked by ordinary people."

Lines extended from Eichi's shadow. One formed a large circle labeled 'World', and inside it, another smaller circle labeled 'Small World'.

"Then, Assistant Supervisors responsible for maintaining the Barrier would monitor the situation inside. When the Cursed Energy reaches the level where a Cursed Spirit is about to be born, people are sent in to eliminate it."

"Isn't that just like Tokyo Jujutsu High right now? A temporary fix that doesn't address the root cause?"

Yuki looked disappointed.

"But ordinary people wouldn't die from Cursed Spirits anymore. Isn't that more feasible than your plan?"

"But Jujutsu Sorcerers would still be dying."

Yuki stared at him seriously.

"First, no industry is without risk. Even office workers could die in accidents or disasters."

"Second, the place where Cursed Spirits are born would be under our control. We could accurately track everything, unlike now where misjudging their power often leads to Sorcerer casualties."

"Finally, if possible, I don't plan to send Sorcerers in directly to fight."

"Oh? Then how do you plan for them to exorcise the Cursed Spirits?"

Yuki's interest was piqued.

"Do you know about the Throne of Heroes?"

Eichi didn't answer immediately.

"I've heard of it. I even saw one earlier outside, but it didn't help with my research, so I didn't pay attention."

Yuki suddenly caught on.

"You want to use the Throne of Heroes to exorcise Cursed Spirits?"

If so, that might actually work. But are there enough of them for Sorcerers to summon? And would Eichi hand over the summoning method?

"Not entirely. On one hand, they can take shifts. On the other..."

Eichi looked straight at Yuki.

"We let Jujutsu Sorcerers become the Throne of Heroes."

Suguru and Yuki widened their eyes at the same time.

"I see, letting Sorcerers become Heroic Spirits."

Suguru's mind raced. For instance, if he and Satoru both became Heroic Spirits, they could ascend together after death and continue protecting humanity.

"It's definitely feasible, but as you said, wouldn't this plan face resistance from the world too?"

Yuki brought up the point Eichi had used to refute her earlier.

But this time, the boomerang didn't come back to hit him.

"First, I believe I'll have the strength to resist the world in the future. And I have trustworthy allies."

As he spoke, Eichi reached out and wrapped an arm around Suguru's shoulder.

Whether it was Suguru and Satoru now, or Yuta and the others in the future, they were all powerful assets he could gather.

"Second, I'm not trying to change the world overnight. I'll start by taking control of this country and reshaping the world step by step."

Eichi slowly clenched his open palm, as if trying to grasp the world itself.

"Hahaha, interesting. You're even crazier than me, kid."

Yuki laughed loudly.

But it wasn't a mocking laugh.

"Those old geezers in the Jujutsu world won't give up their power. You're planning to go against the world too, aren't you?"

Eichi could tell she was intrigued by his proposal.

"Taking control of this country is actually much easier than you think."

"Then tell me."

"The Big Three Families hold most of the power in the Jujutsu world. They can even interfere with the government's operations."

"However."

He looked at both of them seriously.

"The Jujutsu world respects strength above all. I possess the legitimate Ten Shadows Technique of the Zen'in clan. Taking control of them won't be hard."

"I just need to eliminate some, win over some, and support others."

"Besides, Satoru is destined to lead the Gojo clan, and he wants to change the Jujutsu world too. That's two of the Big Three already dealt with. The Kamo clan won't pose much of a threat."

Eichi raised two fingers.

"Next, we just need to pull in a few powerful regional families. Then the entire Jujutsu world will be under our control."

"Interesting. But what about Tengen? This country is wrapped in Tengen's Barrier. Your large-scale movements will definitely attract attention. What if she opposes you?"

Yuki raised a key point.

"You've met Tengen too, right? She's basically a rotting log now. Nothing to worry about."

"And even if she does oppose me, I don't care. Among my Throne of Heroes, I have beings with top-level Barrier Techniques. Besides, Tengen isn't human anymore."

"Before her evolution is complete, her existence is closer to that of a Cursed Spirit."

A smile crept onto Eichi's face.

"As long as it's a Cursed Spirit, Mahoraga will not lose. In fact, if I really wanted to..."

He looked at Suguru.

Tengen was close to being a Cursed Spirit. Suguru used Cursed Spirit Manipulation.

Both of them understood what he meant.

For some reason, Yuki found herself looking forward to that outcome.

"I see. Then I'll look forward to it. But I won't give up on my original plan."

Seeing Yuki agree, Eichi showed a satisfied expression.

Just as the group was about to continue their conversation, Eichi was struck by a boomerang he'd thrown days ago.

Boom.

"Enemy attack?"

The loud sound instantly put them on alert. Before the Star Plasma Vessel incident, none of them would have reacted like this.

But after Tokyo Jujutsu High was attacked, they had all become like someone bitten by a snake, fearing even a well rope for ten years.

"You wicked woman, get away from Suguru!"

Before the dust even settled, a familiar voice echoed from the smoke.

"Satoru?"

Eichi and Suguru exchanged strange looks at the sight of Satoru bursting from the smoke.

He pulled Suguru close and glared at Yuki warily.

"Wicked woman? Me?"

Yuki looked confused.

"That's right. What are you planning by getting close to Suguru?"

Slap.

Eichi facepalmed.

A few days ago, he had jokingly told Satoru that Suguru might go astray because of Yuki.

His original intent was for Satoru to keep an eye on him during missions. He never thought it would come to this.

Now, looking at Satoru shielding Suguru like an overprotective husband, Eichi didn't even know how to explain.

"You explain yourself! How am I a wicked woman?"

"Running around all day doing nothing upright, what else could you be? And now you're clinging to Suguru. Watch yourself, or I'll send you flying."

"Huh? Then come try me."

Yuki's temper flared.

Under Suguru's stunned gaze, the two of them proceeded to complete their annual tradition of demolishing the Tokyo Jujutsu High training ground, once again contributing to the school's GDP.

"Damn it, is that Limitless? What an annoying brat."

Yuki limped away from the school.

She had burned too much Cursed Energy, and her Reverse Cursed Technique wasn't working properly.

Back inside, Satoru wasn't in great shape either.

Not because he lost the fight, but because...

"You must fix the classroom by sunset today."

"Yes, Yaga-sensei!"

The three of them, like punished students, stood quietly and began repairing the classroom wall under Yaga's supervision.
