Berserker's Call. Commonly known as: "Come at me, you bitch!"
This is the war cry magic that Kael extracted using the Miracle Ring.
It comes from Dota 2, Axe's ability. The effect is simple: it taunts enemies, forcing nearby units to attack you while significantly boosting your armor.
What makes this skill powerful is its terrifying area-of-effect control and fixed armor bonus. This armor value might seem underwhelming in battles among Low Class Adventurers, but for those who've just moved beyond the novice stage, it's essentially an invincibility buff.
Unlike in the game, the area control in reality — with actual collision physics — causes immeasurable destruction.
In mere seconds, the swarm of insects that had formed a black cloud vanished, leaving only a mountain of iron formed from insect shells and sticky fluid.
Aiz stared blankly at the spectacular scene before her, "What is... that?"
She quickly came to her senses and, riding the swift wind, first destroyed the remaining hollow insect swarm. After checking for honey and finding none, she abandoned that pursuit and returned.
Dumbfounded, she examined the iron mountain from all angles, uncertain how to extract Kael.
The sticky fluid spat out by the Bloody Hive had welded the iron shell shut like cement. She could only imitate Kael's usual method — gradually digging out the Deadly Hornet's magic stone. As the corpse exploded into black ash, a hole opened in the iron mountain.
A new problem arose — monsters wouldn't politely wait while she worked. Aiz had to clear away approaching threats while quickly dissecting the magic stone.
After a full half hour, Kael finally broke free from the monster carcasses.
He grinned, flashing his big white teeth at her, "See that? One time like this equals at least a week of ability enhancement for you. What doesn't kill me only makes me stronger!"
Despite his severe injuries, he could still smile. Aiz remained noncommittal, "Kael, you're strange."
She stared at the dozen or so puncture wounds on his body that emitted white smoke as they gradually healed.
'A strange person, originally just a braggart with no respect for the dungeon. I thought he was done for, but he actually succeeded.'
This kind of death-defying battle rapidly increases Endurance value.
According to Riveria's teachings, normal Adventurers mainly boost their endurance through physical exertion. Even a single attack, no matter how minor, increases it by about 2-3 points. Among the five attributes, Magic and Endurance are paradoxically both the easiest and most difficult to improve — depending on whether you've found the right method.
Kael's growth method isn't something ordinary people would willingly attempt.
"Not suitable for me." Aiz stated plainly.
Kael gathered his dropped alchemy potions — thanks to his [Goes Where He Pleases] passive — and three Deadly Hornet stingers while explaining:
"Mine was an accident. But as you've seen, I'm only Level 1, yet I've completed nearly a hundred Level 2 subjugations beyond my rank. The experience multiplication from this is enough to increase my ability values by nearly 300."
"300 ability points! So fast!" Aiz was shocked.
These attributes shouldn't be underestimated, averaging only 70 points each. Without a single aspiration, normal Adventurers who increase their combined ability values by 10 points a day would be considered making tremendous progress.
This is where a single aspiration deserves criticism — one hit from a kobold, and endurance increases by over 100 points! That's growth efficiency more than 20 times that of an ordinary person!
"Don't be surprised. To achieve such a feat, magic and skills are crucial. Ordinary Adventurers would have died long ago, let alone made progress." After collecting the spoils, Kael explained his understanding of how the Falna operates, "Simply put, for Falna and magic, you need combat power far exceeding the monster's Level. Even with this advantage, you still need opponents who can give you a tough battle.
This approach gives you both high-rank excelia — the 'Great Deeds' reward from challenging stronger opponents — and thoroughly tempers your body, increasing your basic experience gain."
The ultimate goal of humans is to defeat monsters and save the world. All acts of subjugating monsters are considered part of "world salvation", thus receiving the blessing of "Great Deeds".
Falna emphasizes process over results. It records your efforts and uses "Great Deeds" to magnify this effort, which is ultimately reflected on your status panel.
Aiz seemed to half-understand, "So high-Level monsters... 'Great Deeds' is like an experience multiplier card, while my own training provides the actual experience points?"
Then she could... tie a powerful monster to herself while training.
Wow, a perpetual motion machine!
Though it's simply the principle that fighting monsters above your Level gives experience bonuses while farming weaker ones only gives money, explaining it clearly to people in this world isn't easy.
Kael nodded approvingly, "Overflowing Great Deeds will, at the time of Rank Up, manifest as skills through the wishes of your heart. Coming from a major familia, you must have seen many who develop skills when they Rank Up, right?"
Aiz thought for a moment, then shook her head, "Not sure. But you're really amazing."
Kael put his hands behind his back and sighed: If I didn't have a cheat, I might have become a master through my theories on Falna. Look, I've already convinced this "Saint", haven't I?
"This is precious experience I've researched through hardship, so don't tell Loki. Be careful about being locked in a secret room."
Aiz lightly tapped her chin and extended her pinky, "Secret."
Kael also extended his pinky, "Pinky swear! Liars are dogs!"
The seal was complete.
Aiz immediately grabbed his hand, raising her eyebrows, "My turn! My turn!"
"Hmm?"
"I want to get stronger too! Can you cast that amazing spell from earlier?" Aiz asked expectantly.
That... impossible! Kael was helpless; he had originally wanted to conjure a fireball to burn away the sticky fluid. Who knew it would turn out like this?
He coughed and changed the subject, "Ahem, my leveling plan still has many imperfections, so let's pass on that for now. As you've seen, replicating my method requires very strict status requirements..."
"Hmph, I have that too!" Aiz put her hands on her hips, unwilling to back down, "Actually, I can already spar with Level 3 seniors in my familia. For monsters, I think I can handle even stronger ones!"
She rarely talked this much. Was she revealing her bottom line?
"Can you tell me your specific ability information?" Kael probed.
Aiz hadn't reached the point of complete openness with him yet, especially since her skills were closely related to her past.
She shook her head, "I can only say I have very strong destructive power against dragons."
I see... Kael felt a bit disappointed. He already knew her status panel but wanted to hear the girl say it herself.
Fine, if the relationship has cooled, then...
He stood up, shouldered his backpack, and put on a mercenary smile, "Forget about replicating my method. Since you're strong against dragons, let's execute plan B and target the Green Dragons on the 24th Floor. I can also bring back some gem tree fruits."
Noticing the subtle change in Kael's attitude, Aiz stared at him for a few seconds. Still distracted by the prospect of getting stronger, she urged:
"Let's go!"
