"Bloodline sickness?"
Orochimaru looked at the unconscious Yakumo on the bed, one eyebrow lifting slightly.
Yakushi asked curiously, "Lord Yuzuru, Lord Orochimaru, what is bloodline sickness?"
Orochimaru thought for a moment, then said slowly, "It's an extremely rare illness. According to legend, only ninja who have awakened a kekkei genkai can develop it."
"Once it manifests, there is no cure. The body weakens day by day, until death arrives amid extreme pain."
After speaking, Orochimaru turned his gaze to Yuzuru. "Yuzuru-kun, do you have anything to add?"
Hearing this, Yuzuru smiled. "Bloodline sickness is indeed very rare, and there is little information about it in the ninja world. However, based on Yakumo's body, I do have a few conjectures."
Seeing Orochimaru and Yakushi listening intently, Yuzuru explained calmly, "As everyone knows, a ninja's power comes from the combination of bodily cells and spiritual energy. The same is true for kekkei genkai."
"And compared to ordinary ninja extracting chakra, those with kekkei genkai often place a much heavier burden on their bodies when using their own power."
"Perhaps it is precisely because their power is developed too early and too deeply that the body becomes overdrawn, leaving behind irreparable hidden injuries."
"That is why ordinary medical ninjutsu and treatment methods have no effect on bloodline sickness."
"In other words, this is a disease that the more gifted you are, the easier it is to contract."
After listening to Yuzuru's explanation, Orochimaru's eyes lit up as he mused, "That's right. In the few records that exist, ninja afflicted with bloodline sickness were usually prodigies who became famous at a young age, often dying of severe illness around their early twenties."
Hearing this, Yakushi looked at Yakumo. "So… this girl is a genius ninja as well?"
"Lord Yuzuru, did you bring her here so she could learn Living Corpse Reincarnation and switch to a new body?"
Yuzuru shook his head. "That won't be necessary. We only need to transplant White Zetsu cells."
White Zetsu cells were cultivated from Hashirama cells using the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path, and possessed abundant Yang Release power.
Once this power existed within the body, bloodline sickness would naturally be resolved.
Orochimaru was already thoroughly experienced with such matters, so he did not say much. He simply nodded. "Although transplanting White Zetsu cells is not particularly high-risk, it's still not a hundred percent successful."
"For now, leave this child with me to recuperate first. We can transplant the White Zetsu cells afterward."
Yuzuru nodded. "Then I'll leave this matter to you."
After that, he turned his gaze to Yakushi. "Kabuto, when you have time, go check on Nonō. She's already returned to Konoha."
Yakushi adjusted his glasses, a sincere smile appearing on his face. "Understood, Lord Yuzuru."

After leaving Yakumo with Orochimaru, Yuzuru returned home directly.
The moment he stepped inside, he saw Konan carrying a cake, just about to head out.
Yuzuru grabbed her wrist, asking curiously, "Konan, where are you going?"
Konan glanced at him and smiled. "Take a guess?"
Yuzuru raised an eyebrow. "Guess if I'll guess."
Konan lifted her chin, meeting his gaze with her beautiful eyes. "Guess if I'll guess if you'll guess."
Their faces drew closer and closer, each clearly able to feel the other's breath.
Yuzuru suddenly pinched Konan's chin and lowered his head to kiss her.
Only after she grew a little unsteady did he ask in a slightly domineering tone, "Are you going to say it or not?"
Konan steadied her breathing, shot him a reproachful look, and finally gave in. "I'm going to celebrate Hana's birthday."
There was no helping it. Konan knew Yuzuru's personality far too well.
If she kept provoking him, he really might do something outrageous right on the spot.
Yuzuru froze for a moment, not quite processing it. "Hana?"
Seeing his expression, Konan snorted softly. "You forgot? During the Third Great Ninja War, you picked up a baby in the Land of Rain…"
Before she could finish, Yuzuru understood. "Ajisai!"
Back then, Fugaku had been severely injured by Minato, and the battlefield in the Land of Rain had been turned upside down by Minato alone.
In order to stabilize the situation, Yuzuru had gone to the Land of Rain by himself.
There, he rescued Ajisai, who was still an infant at the time. It was precisely because of this that Yahiko, Nagato, and Konan believed him to be a "good person" and voluntarily revealed themselves to speak with him.
After returning, however, Yuzuru had handed her over to Mikoto to look after, and later simply forgot about the matter.
Thinking of this, Yuzuru asked curiously, "What's Ajisai's situation now?"
Konan glanced at the time and pulled Yuzuru along as they headed out. "It's getting late. Let's talk while we walk."
As they walked, Konan began to explain slowly.
"Back then, Ajisai was still very young, so Mikoto kept her by her side and took care of her for a few months. Later, when you never brought it up again, she sent her to an orphanage."
"Because the child was rescued in the Land of Rain, I would often go to the orphanage to see her."
"After we came to Konoha, I bought her a house outside. She's attending the Ninja Academy now. It seems she's classmates with Naruto, Sasuke, and Gaara…"
Ajisai's residence was not far from the Uchiha clan compound, and the two arrived quickly.
Konan nudged Yuzuru's shoulder and smiled. "Yuzuru, you should knock. If she sees you, Hana will definitely be overjoyed."
"She even set the day you rescued her as her own birthday."
Yuzuru didn't mind. He stepped forward and knocked lightly a few times.
"Coming!"
A series of light footsteps soon sounded from behind the door. The door opened, and a purple-haired, golden-eyed girl appeared before them, exceedingly cute.
But the instant she saw Yuzuru, her eyes went wide. Her lips trembled as she asked, "Y-You are… Lord Yuzuru?!"
Konan had always taken care of Ajisai's life, and naturally had not concealed her origins from her.
So Ajisai had always known that it was Yuzuru who, on the battlefield of the Land of Rain, buried her mother and saved her from the gaze of wild dogs.
Now… the benefactor who had appeared countless times in her dreams stood right before her eyes, leaving Ajisai completely stunned on the spot.
