Chapter 220 - Chapter 219: The King of Pride Retreats for the First Time

"Haven't you had enough?" Raven said to Kagami, who was still raging.

He then sent a punch flying towards Kagami's forehead.

Gatack was immediately struck and sent flying.

The next second, Raven used Super Acceleration to chase after him. Before Gatack could even land, Raven followed up with another kick, sending him soaring back into the air.

The poor War God, Gatack, was thoroughly beaten and brutalized before he could even enjoy his beginner's protection period for a few minutes.

"Ugh, ah!"

After being suspended in the air and taking countless hits, Gatack was finally beaten so severely that his armor disassembled.

Kagami lay on the ground, struggling to open and close his eyes.

"Oh, it's you, Kagami. Why didn't you say so sooner?" Raven feigned ignorance, speaking to Kagami, who was lying prone on the ground.

"..."

Kagami looked up at Raven, his mind racing with thoughts. He felt the urge to curse out loud.

You didn't recognize me? I clearly think you did that on purpose!

"Cough, cough..." He tried to speak but was immediately seized by a fit of coughing due to his injuries.

Fortunately, Raven had struck with precision; the damage inflicted on Kagami was just enough to force the de-Henshin. The reason he was collapsing now was primarily due to his already severe original injuries.

"Tendo, since you're already here, why not…" Raven turned to look at Tendo, who was observing the scene.

"My apologies, but Jyuka is probably out of school now. I have to go home and cook."

Tendo responded by tapping the button on his waist, activating Clock Up, and instantly vanished.

"He sure runs fast." Raven shook his head.

He, too, prepared to leave. Before doing so, his eyes glanced toward the back of the factory. He saw a figure observing from the shadows for a moment before getting into a car and driving away.

It was Masato Mishima, who had given Kagami the Rider Belt moments ago.

"This guy... he's probably not a Native Worm yet. He must be converted later."

Raven instantly discerned Masato Mishima's current state.

Speaking of which, the biggest boss in the entire Kabuto series is undoubtedly Masato Mishima and his collaborator, Negishi.

Negishi was originally a Native Worm, and an extremely radical one at that, hiding among the others. He didn't possess much combat power, being just an unmolted Worm, but he led all the Native Worms and secretly presided over the development of new technology.

After the Worms were eliminated, Negishi, who had disguised himself as a pacifist advocating for co-existence between humans and Native Worms, revealed his true colors. He intended to assimilate all humans worldwide into Native Worms through methods different from the barbaric tactics of the Worms.

And Mishima was the strongest Native Worm created under his command. He was also the second molted Native Worm to appear in the entire series, besides Hiyori.

His strength was undeniable and truly formidable. The self-proclaimed "King," Tendo, couldn't defeat him even with the cheat-like Hyper Zecter and Hyper Kabuto, and only managed to narrowly defeat him by teaming up with Kagami.

At this moment, Mishima, sitting in the car, also noticed Raven's intense gaze.

For some reason, he felt a shiver run down his spine.

"Drive faster," he urged his chauffeur.

Up to this point, Mishima's actions still placed him on the side of humanity. He was just a rather contemptible person who was unscrupulous in achieving his goals.

Raven had no plans to strike against him for the time being. After all, he was the big boss of Kabuto. Collecting the power of a boss in every Rider World he visits has become a necessary objective for him.

Besides, he wanted to see exactly how many seconds this so-called "strongest Native Worm" could last against him.

Masato Mishima returned to headquarters and once again faced his enigmatic superior.

"Your son has become Gatack," Mishima truthfully reported.

"But was this truly wise?" He looked perplexed at his superior, the man playing the violin.

After all, this was undoubtedly a gamble.

What made him so certain that Kagami would ultimately be chosen by the Gatack Zecter? If he hadn't been, the plan would have been ruined.

"I recall it was Mozart who passed away while composing his Requiem for the dead."

"But did that piece kill him, or did his obsession with the piece allow him to live on?"

"You mean... Gatack is a double-edged sword? It could either kill your son or save him." Masato Mishima's daily task was to interpret his superior's riddles. He had gradually developed a keen sense of observation.

A few days later.

After being severely beaten by Raven, Kagami spent several days receiving hospital treatment. Only now was he fully recovered.

He could finally transform.

Although he was brutally taught a lesson by Raven before he could even move past his beginner's phase, he still couldn't contain his excitement. After all, Raven was an anomaly; even Tendo combined with him was no match. It was perfectly normal that he couldn't defeat him.

Meanwhile, with the appearance of Gatack, the Kamen Rider plan was set to advance to the next stage. Both the Worms and the Native Worms began to stir beneath the surface.

Currently, the Worms started targeting and hunting down the Native Worms who were living among human society. Soon, they set their sights on Hiyori.

Hiyori had just finished her shift at the café and was heading home.

She happened to run into Raven, who was loitering nearby, and the two began walking together. Raven started employing his flirting techniques again, successfully amusing the usually serious Hiyori.

As the two were passing through a dark tunnel, a middle-aged man blocked their path.

The man revealed his true form: a molted, red Tarantula Worm.

Hiyori was immediately terrified and stumbled backward, tripping over her own feet.

As she was about to fall, Raven reached out and supported her by the hip. The instant his hand touched her skirt, Hiyori blushed deeply, but she was too frightened to do anything but hide behind Raven.

"Don't be afraid." Raven stepped forward and used a powerful Whip Kick to knock back the Tarantula Worm.

At the same time, he grabbed Hiyori's hand and fled backward.

As they ran, he secretly opened a zipper-like dimensional rift near the Tarantula Worm. Several A-rank Inves emerged from it and immediately became entangled with the Tarantula Worm.

"Whew... What was that monster?" Hiyori asked, still frightened. She felt that Raven seemed to know something.

"That was a Worm. Haven't you always been curious about what Kagami does in private? Look..."

Raven sensed a figure appearing in the distance and urged Hiyori to look over.

A blue figure appeared in the darkness, wielding twin sickles and attacking both the Inves and the Worm simultaneously.
