Chapter 67 - The Warning from the Patrolman

Four months had passed since the sky last darkened with Shenron's summoning.

Each morning began the same way. The sun rose over Mount Paozu, golden rays spilling across the small countryside home. Razor stood outside shirtless, the faint breeze brushing against the scars etched across his chest. He wore only the lower half of a gi — deep purple fabric tied with a black belt — and nothing else.

Beside him, Rizze's golden aura blazed bright. Her hair flowed upward in sharp strands, lightning sparking around her tiny frame — Super Saiyan 2. She grinned fiercely, sweat dripping down her temple.

"Come on, Papa! You're getting slow!" she teased.

Razor smirked faintly. "You talk too much for someone whose guard is open."

In a flash, he disappeared. Rizze yelped as Razor appeared behind her, tapping her shoulder with two fingers before she could react. She spun, pouting. "That's cheating!"

He chuckled — a deep rumble that rarely came out. "In battle, everything's fair."

18 watched from the porch, coffee cup in hand, smiling quietly. "Don't let him fool you, Rizze. He used to get beat up all the time."

Razor glanced over his shoulder. "That was… yeah, ok I used to get beat up but still I was the one that always managed to win."

"Still counts," 18 said with a smirk.

Their life had fallen into a peaceful rhythm. Some days, Razor and Rizze went fishing by the river, the two competing to catch the biggest fish — though Razor often "let" her win. Other days, 18 dragged both of them to West City for shopping. Razor hated crowds, but Rizze's pleading eyes always broke his resolve.

It was simple. Ordinary. Peaceful. And for the first time in years, Razor didn't mind it.

In deep space, a small silver craft sped toward Earth. Inside sat a lone figure — Jaco the Galactic Patrolman, his face twisted in mild annoyance.

"Ugh, why is it always me who has to deal with these Earth problems?" he muttered, checking his coordinates. "Still can't believe Frieza's really back… I should've transferred to the Andromeda sector."

He straightened his helmet and puffed his chest. "Alright, Jaco, Galactic Patrol elite! Time to save the universe again."

Jaco's ship landed outside Capsule Corp with a faint whoosh. Before he could even step out, two young boys were already circling it — Trunks and Goten.

"Whoa, check it out!" Trunks said, grinning. "Cool spaceship!"

"Think we can fly it?" Goten asked eagerly.

"Fly it?!" Jaco shouted, leaping out. "Step away, you little menaces! This is official Galactic Patrol property!"

Trunks blinked. "Galactic what?"

"Patrol! Law enforcement of the galaxy! Protector of peace! Defender of justice!"

The boys exchanged a look, then burst out laughing.

Goten giggled, "You look like a beetle!" Trunks added, "Yeah, or like mom's cleaning robot!"

Jaco twitched. "I am not a cleaning robot!" He adjusted his collar indignantly. "Where's Bulma? I have an urgent message for her."

A few minutes later, the boys led him into Capsule Corp's courtyard. Bulma was working on a small device when she noticed them.

"Oh, Jaco! Haven't seen you in years. What brings you here?"

Jaco pointed towards Trunks and Gohan still not aware of their identity, "Who are the kids Bulma?"

Bulma smiled as she introduced them, "Oh they are Trunks and Gohan, my son and the other a son of my close friend."

He stared at her, speechless for a moment. "You… have a kid now?"

"Yeah," Bulma said proudly, patting Trunks on the head.

Jaco's jaw dropped. "You? A mother? That's— that's unnatural! The universe must be ending!"

Bulma frowned. "Watch it, space cop."

"I just— I mean— You were supposed to be Earth's smartest troublemaker, not— not someone's mom!" Jaco said dramatically, waving his hands.

Trunks smirked. "Hey, mom, I think you broke him."

"Shut up," Jaco grumbled.

He composed himself with a sigh. "Alright, serious business. Frieza is alive. Again."

Bulma's expression shifted. "What? You're kidding."

"I wish I was," Jaco muttered. "Our patrol received confirmed sightings. He's stronger and furious."

Bulma blinked. "But Trunks killed him years ago."

Trunks looked up, confused. "I did?"

Bulma sighed. "No, not you. The future you. Time travel business."

Jaco froze. "Wait— you used time travel?!"

"Well, technically, someone else did."

"That's a crime punishable by planetary erasure! You can't just—"

Bulma cut him off. "Never heard of that law."

"You— You what?!" Jaco nearly fell over. "Ignorance of the law doesn't make it legal, Bulma!"

He rubbed his temples. "Okay, okay, one thing at a time. How did Earthlings even beat Frieza to begin with?"

Bulma smirked. "Because my son is not just Earthling he is half-saiyan too. My husband's a Saiyan."

Jaco froze mid-breath. "You… married a Saiyan?"

"Yep."

"A Saiyan live on Earth?"

Bulma crossed her arms. "Actually more than one, but my husband Vegeta is training off-world along with Goku— on Lord Beerus's planet."

Jaco blinked. "Beerus? The God of Destruction? That's… just a myth!"

Bulma gave him a knowing look. "You keep believing that."

He gulped. "Oh no. I was supposed to monitor Saiyan activity on this planet years ago…"He stared into space in horror. "I'm so fired…"

Bulma tapped her foot. "So what now, genius? How close is Frieza?"

Jaco checked his scanner. "Based on my readings… an hour."

Bulma's eyes widened. "An hour?! You came all the way here to tell me that NOW?!"

Jaco jumped back. "Hey! Space travel takes time! And my ship doesn't exactly have warp drive!"

Bulma growled. "Unbelievable. You could've at least communicated first using the inter galactic communicator I built years ago!"

Jaco blinked. "Well I forgot about that."

Just then, Trunks and Goten quietly slipped out toward the ship again. "Think we can fly it?" Goten whispered.

"Totally," Trunks said — and accidentally hit a button.

The ship sputtered, lifted an inch, then plunged nose-first into the nearby lake. Splash!

Bulma and Jaco rush out startled by the sound and watch as the ship submerge into the lake.

Jaco screamed, "How am I suppose to escape... I mean leave for another super important mission now?"

Bulma sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. "Jaco you weren't planning on escaping do you?"

She looked toward the sky, her expression darkening. "I better inform everyone and contact Whis too."
