As a few days pass, Roya and his crew are unaware of the impending danger that is arriving to come get them. Meanwhile, on Big Mom's fleet, the captain Katakuriko, stays in the exactly same position, looking over the sea, while Crackere does most of the orders surrounding the soldiers and the rest of Big Mom's Daughters.
After awhile, they spot a small dot on the horizon, causing Katakuriko to tell everyone to get ready to fight, especially Crackere who is also Yonko Commander.
Meanwhile, Roya and some other crewmembers sense an impending sense of death, causing Roya to tell all the fighters to get ready. After they get ready, Roya goes ahead and jumps of his ship, and landing on the other ship.
Roya, sensing the strongest is the one in the middle, he decides it is the person he must fight.
"Yo, why have you come seeking us, when we haven't done anything to you?"
"Mama wants you, and as her daughter, I must follow her, so I'm here to capture you."
Katakuriko, seeing her target and already ready, sends a mochi punch, which Roya blocks easily, surprise at how weak it is.
"Is that a-"
Roya then gets hit by a Haki-infused punch, making him shut up and not be arrogant in this fight.
The rest of the crew battle the Big Mom pirates, while Roya 1v1s Katakuriko on a nearby unknown island.
Roya tries to land a punch, but she uses her Logia-type intangibility, causing Roya to be confused about how her ability and receiving a punch from her.
Katakuriko silent, sees Roya's battle tactics, and realises Roya, right now, doesn't have the speed and battle IQ to be able to beat her, but he does have immense strength and durability.
Roya continues trying to hit her, while she continues to dodge, causing him to become impatient and rip a piece of her ship, and throwing at her.
She blocks it, and dodges a punch towards her head, and counterattacking him, hitting his gut and sending him flying.
Roya gets up, and continues trying to attack her, but its like she's predicting his attacks...
'Future Sight? I'm already fucking seeing this, I only heard of this from my friend describing some person's ability that I forgot.'
Roya, thinking that she can be able to predict the future already, causes him to slightly panic, realising he has no way to bypass her future sight.
Katakuriko, realising that her deadly attacks are always not hitting the target completely, due to his sudden changes, gives up her intangibility tricks, and decides to go close.
"Zan Giri Mochi."
Katakuriko finally launches a named attack, forming a similar move to Luffy's Elephant Gun, causing Roya to compete with a punch.
"Planetary Fist: Earth!"
Roya launches the punch, causing a brief stalemate, before Roya pushes Katakuriko's fist back, and finally connecting a punch on her torso.
Black Flash!!!
Katakuriko suffers a big hit to her organs, causing her to kick Roya away, and keep her emotions in check.
Roya, getting up, smiles at landing a punch, especially a Black Flash, almost finally unlocking Advanced forms of Haki.
Katakuriko finally uses her surroundings, causing a pole made of Mochi, to hit him from the side, stunning him and allowing her a clean hit.
"Naguri Mochi!"
Roya, after getting out of his stunned state, sees a huge black fist in his pov, which lands and sends him into the ground, causing Katakuriko to take advantage even more and pummel him into the ground, and not using her Observation Haki.
Black Flash!!!
Roya hits Katakuriko out of the hole, allowing him to stand up and gain focus again, while Katakuriko pukes blood out of her mouth, but ignoring it entirely.
"Muso Mochi Hadan!"
Roya, thinking he can tank it, surprisingly gives a deep cut across his entire arm, from hand to shoulder, causing his left hand to be significantly more weaker, and cursing himself of his arrogance.
Roya now fully goes on the defensive, hoping one of his crewmembers can help him after their fight, while Katakuriko can sense his increasing feelings of fear.
Katakuriko now fully goes on the offensive, but still anxious about his abilities and strength.
Roya tries to counterattack her, but is unable to do her future sight, causing him to receive large amounts of damage without giving it away.
"Kashiwa Mochi!"
Roya gets completely sandwiched by Katakuriko's hands, causing him to be almost out of the fight, and finally realises everyone hasn't finished, making him decide to try to escape or go all out attack.
Katakuriko punches Roya squarely on his face, which allows Roya to hit her arm, no mochi present.
Black Flash!!!
[You have almost unlocked Future Sight, but ue to it being an advanced form of Haki, you must find out how to use it yourself.]
Roya hearing the statement, decides to completely focus on how to use Future Sight, and decides to tank multiple attacks while trying to see how he can sense her attacks before they occur.
Katakuriko, seeing Roya's actions, gets slightly confused, and decides to send projectiles, and also mainly use her superior speed, causing a cat and mouse game to occur between them.
Roya getting fed up with her actions, starts to actively calm himself, making him go into the zone once again, and getting glimpses into the future.
Roya is able to catch one of her attacks, and making another punch land, making her already weakened body even more weakened, despite Roya's overdrive on keeping consciousness.
Roya is still getting multiple hits, causing his body to be completely bloody, with Katakiuriko's body to be also bloody as well.
"You are an extremely tough opponent, but also a respectable one, so if you die here and now, or get captured, I respect your sacrifice in keeping your crew alive for your own weakness."
"...Thanks."
Katakuriko starts to release her Conquerer's Haki, making Roya feel his sense of vision dull, and his body heavier.
'What...is this feeling? It's making me....stronger?'
Roya, after almost losing consciousness due to his fatigue and release of Conquerer's, finally hits an epiphany.
