When Ryu Jinmu first awakened as a hunter, the whole country buzzed at the birth of Korea's first ever SS-Rank Hunter. The number of SS-Rank hunters in the world could be counted by hand. Their existence alone significantly improved their country's standing.
They are generally a blessing to humans. However, not everyone thinks that way. Ryu Jinmu awakened around nine years after dungeons had appeared.
A new working system had already been established, and the people sitting on top of that order did not welcome his existence. Countless people either tried to recruit or assassinate him to prevent him from building his own guild, avoiding his rise to power.
Of course, disposing of an SS-Rank hunter proved to be almost impossible. Physical threats were useless to him, but without any form of connection, he had a hard time gathering people who weren't a danger to him.
