But even so, Obito was still dodging with considerable ease, and the fists and kicks of the two clay dolls didn't even manage to graze the hem of his clothing.
"It appears that you were correct, that fellow's skills are already beyond the level of a Genin." Up on the viewing platform, the Third Hokage spoke softly to Kakashi who was beside him.
"Not only that." Kakashi said, "That fellow is also able to use a strange kind of ninjutsu.....I can't say the specific details, but it's something similar to a technique that can nullify attacks."
Kakashi spoke in a vague and ambiguous manner, because he himself also hadn't clearly seen what was happening.
"There's even such a thing?" The Third Hokage's eyes were tightly focused on the Uchiha Obito down below, "It appears that we can only rely on that Hidden Stone Village Genin to force him to use that technique."
And within the competition arena itself, Deidara was also starting to feel a little anxious.
"Damn it, just how is this bandaged weirdo able to move so quickly!" He complained in a low voice, and then crossed his hands, "If that's the case, then I won't play around with him anymore!"

As expected, after the smoke dissipated, Uchiha Obito's figure was still standing on the ground, completely unharmed!
"Just what is going on here!" Deidara looked at Uchiha Obito with a look of utter astonishment, and the other ninjas also wore looks of shock and surprise.
"Kakashi, is that the technique you were talking about?" The Third Hokage said, while staring intently at the situation within the arena.
"That's right." Kakashi nodded his head, "That fellow seems to be intentionally trying to conceal this technique of his, and is either using a water wall, or using smoke to obscure the vision of other people."
"To be able to evade ninjutsu, that truly is a considerably powerful ninjutsu, and it is only reasonable that he would hide it and not let other people know about it." The Third Hokage said with a tone of admiration.
"You, just how were you able to do it!" Within the arena, Deidara asked Uchiha Obito with a look of confusion.
Uchiha Obito, however, did not answer Deidara's words, and a smile appeared on the corners of his mouth, and then he said to himself in a low voice: "Very good, testing passed."
He was very satisfied with Deidara's strength, and although it was still far from being comparable to Kaoru, it was enough to be absorbed into the Akatsuki, and Deidara still had a lot of room to grow.
"Testing passed, just what are you saying, you bandaged monster?" Deidara felt as if he was being stared at by a monster when Obito looked at him like that.
"Don't be impatient, you'll soon know what I mean by my words." Uchiha Obito smiled slightly, and then suddenly raised his right hand.
"Just what is that fellow planning to do now?" Deidara looked at Uchiha Obito with a wary gaze, and wore a look of solemn gravity.
"Is it some kind of special technique?" Kakashi also frowned his eyebrows.
"The match is over." Kaoru, however, said it like that.
Then, Uchiha Obito directed his gaze towards Asuma, and said with a smile: "Referee, I concede this match!"
As his words fell, the surrounding ninjas all wore looks of shock, and Kakashi's face was even more filled with confusion.
"Concede? Did I hear correctly?"
"Was he scared by that bomb ninja's ninjutsu?"
"But he wasn't losing out in the slightest when facing this bomb ninja, was he?" The surrounding ninjas began to discuss amongst themselves.
"So that's how it is, I didn't expect that Hidden Mist Village Genin to actually take the initiative to concede, is that what you meant by those words just now, Kaoru?" Shin looked at Kaoru with a look of utter shock, and said, "But how did you know that he would concede?"
Kaoru merely smiled, and didn't say anything, and Uchiha Obito didn't care about the victory or defeat of this match in the slightest, and although it could be said that winning or losing was related to the honor of one's village, Obito wasn't a person from the Hidden Mist Village at all, and naturally wouldn't place any importance on honor.
And furthermore, right now, the Third Hokage was using him as a chess piece, and was making him deal with the Genin from the other great nations, and how could he obediently allow the Third Hokage to get his wish?
"Hey, you bandaged monster, just what do you mean by this, I haven't properly allowed you to experience my art yet, so why did you concede!" Deidara placed both of his hands on his hips, and shouted at Uchiha Obito with a tone of dissatisfaction.
"Are you sure that you want to concede?" Asuma also asked Uchiha Obito with a look of strangeness.
"That's right." Uchiha Obito nodded his head, "My skills are lacking, so naturally I must concede."
He said those words in a light and breezy manner, but there wasn't even the slightest hint of him lacking in skills.
"Alright then, I announce that the victor of the first match is the Hidden Stone Village Genin, Deidara!" Asuma said, nodding his head.
"Coward!" Deidara, who didn't understand what was going on, spat lightly at Obito, and then turned around and left the competition arena.
And Uchiha Obito merely smiled, and also turned around and departed.
"Kuro, why did you do that? With your strength....." Hozuki Mangetsu saw Kuro walking out and hurriedly asked with an anxious tone.
"You didn't say that you wanted to have the opportunity to fight against that Hidden Stone Village Genin? I'm fulfilling your wish." Uchiha Obito smiled slightly, and said.
"This....." Hozuki Mangetsu, upon hearing Uchiha Obito say it like that, didn't know what to say.
"I didn't expect that fellow to actually take the initiative to concede....." Kakashi said, frowning his eyebrows tightly.
"That Hidden Mist Village Genin has a rather heavy mind, and he has probably already sensed that we wanted to make use of him, so he simply conceded." The Third Hokage said in a calm voice, "However, it's also good like this, and since he took the initiative to withdraw, there's no need to worry about him dominating the main round afterwards."
The first match ended in a strange and inexplicable manner, and the Genin were all still in a state of confusion, but without waiting for them to react, the second match immediately began!
