Chapter 260 - Chapter 260: Encountering the Demon Again

...

Elsewhere.

Gran and the others arrived in the starry expanse outside Earth. Floating there were three Super Dragon Balls.

The three massive orbs hovered together, occasionally emitting a sacred resonance that echoed through the void.

At a glance, anyone could tell—these were no ordinary objects.

"It's been a while since I last saw the Super Dragon Balls."

Whis guided the transport cube closer to one of them and gently placed a hand on its surface.

"Whis, has anyone ever summoned Super Shenron before?" Gran asked curiously.

He remembered that in the original story, Whis didn't even know the incantation to summon Super Shenron—Bulma had been the one to tell him.

"During my tenure as the Angel of Universe 7, no one ever summoned the dragon."

Whis shook his head.

"I only know that Universes 6 and 7 possess these Super Wish Orbs. As for the summoning chant… even I am unaware of it."

Gran nodded.

Just as he thought—it matched the original timeline perfectly.

"Whis, then I'll leave transporting these three Super Dragon Balls to you."

"You really treat me like a laborer, don't you?"

"Hahaha! I can move them within a single universe, but transporting them across universes is beyond me."

Gran stepped behind Whis and began massaging his shoulders with a flattering grin.

"So I'll have to trouble you, Master Whis."

As he spoke, he shot Broly a meaningful glance.

Broly immediately caught on and joined in, kneading Whis' other shoulder.

"…Fine. I'll help you move them."

Whis shot the two of them a look.

Gran had already called him "Master"—refusing now would indeed be a bit unreasonable.

Thus—

With a gentle wave of his staff, the three Super Dragon Balls began to move.

It was as if an overwhelming, unseen force wrapped around them, forcibly shifting their massive forms behind the transport cube.

"Let's go."

Whis activated the cube, and it shot forward, heading toward Universe 6.

Behind it, the three Super Dragon Balls followed closely, as if tethered by invisible threads.

After some time.

The transport cube finally crossed the boundary between universes and entered Universe 6.

"So we're back in Universe 6."

Gran swept his gaze across the surroundings.

A dazzling starry sky—breathtakingly beautiful.

The cosmic layout here closely resembled that of Universe 7. Without careful observation, one might mistake it for his home universe.

"Whis, let's head to Lord Champa first. We're borrowing something from his domain—if we don't inform him, he'll definitely throw a tantrum."

Just thinking of that chubby God of Destruction made Gran want to laugh.

"Very well."

Whis was about to steer the cube toward the Universe 6 Destroyer's Realm when he suddenly paused.

"Hm? It's that thing again."

"That thing?"

Gran blinked in confusion.

Whis pointed off into the distance.

"There's another one of those 'demons' you encountered before."

"What?!"

Gran frowned.

Even Whis looked slightly puzzled.

"I don't know if it's just my imagination, but… these creatures seem to be appearing more frequently lately."

"Is that so? Then let's deal with it first before visiting Lord Champa."

"This is a matter of Universe 6—you don't necessarily have to intervene."

"It's fine. Since we've come across it, helping out won't hurt."

Gran waved his hand dismissively.

Whis didn't argue further. He simply redirected the cube toward the source.

Ten seconds later—

They arrived in another stretch of space.

Ahead of them was a blue planet. From the outside, it looked vibrant and habitable—perfect for human life.

And that violent, sinister aura—

Was emanating directly from within that planet.

"Wait here, Whis. I'll be back shortly."

Gran stepped out of the cube and shot toward the planet at high speed.

Broly followed closely behind.

Only Whis remained, standing atop the cube.

He fell into quiet thought, his expression subtly growing more serious.

...

On the planet.

"Don't come any closer!!!"

"Run! The monster is here!!"

"Please—someone save us!!"

"..."

Within one of the planet's modern cities.

Though technologically developed, it wasn't as advanced as Earth. There were no floating trains or jet-powered vehicles.

Today, however, chaos reigned.

Countless civilians fled in their cars, speeding through the streets in panic.

Every so often, they would glance back—

Their faces pale, filled with sheer terror.

Following their line of sight—

A mass of black smoke spread across the sky.

Like storm clouds pressing down upon the city, threatening to crush it.

The oppressive atmosphere was suffocating.

And at the heart of that black smoke—

Was a creature.

Its body was completely shrouded, its true form obscured.

Only two crimson eyes were visible through the darkness.

Glowing with a chilling, inhuman malice.
