Theo observed the map for a while but could not find anything distinctive about it. It was just plain old and made from skin. He decided to ask about where the map was marked when the others came back. If it was close by, then perhaps they could pay a short visit and see what treasures were hidden.
Suddenly, a light blue screen appeared in front of Theo.
[Welcome to Olympus.]
[Player detected. System initializing...]
[System setup complete. Error...]
[Player makeover already completed, overriding makeover sequence.]
[Error... Player talent already chosen. Player element already chosen.]
[Rebooting system to reset all errors]
[Reboot? Yes/No]
Theo was stunned for a moment before his mind began to form possibilities. Could it be that the game was just launching on Earth, and he had been recognized as a player because he was originally from Earth? That seemed the most plausible explanation.
"This reboot that would reset all errors... Would that remove my talent and elemental affinities?" he wondered aloud.
[The system reboot would completely wipe player data and reboot the player, allowing him to choose from a variety of new talents and elemental affinities.]
"Oh, so the system can reply to my questions?"
[Only predetermined questions can be answered.]
"Okay, what talents can I choose from, and what are the elemental affinities I can pick?"
[The list of talents is numerous and therefore cannot be listed. Host will have to take a look to make a choice. The list of elemental affinities, however, is seven. They are the standard seven elemental affinities anyone can be born with, excluding the two other affinities that exist but are extremely rare.]
"Okay, I want to see the list." Theo said with anticipation because he didn't expect he would be able to change his elemental affinity, although this was more of a browsing attempt than actually trying to change it. Only if he found something stronger than void would he decide to change it.
[Fire, Wind, Water, Earth, Lightning, Light, Darkness, Space (Locked), Time (Locked)]
"What, these are all less than void. Why would I want to change to any of these?" Theo sighed with an 'as expected' expression on his face. Now, the only thing to consider was the talent. "System, is there any talent on par with or greater than the 'god' talent?"
[Of course. There are the godslayers talent and the immortals talent. Unfortunately, that is all I am allowed to share.]
"Now, this is certainly interesting. And what do I lose from a system reboot?"
[Everything.]
"Really? I can't keep my elemental affinity?"
[A reboot wipes all of player data.]
"Damn. That sucks." Theo sulked as he was deciding what direction to take. "Can I decide on the reboot later?"
[Host has 24 hours to decide on whether or not to reboot. Failure to do so will automatically reboot. 23:59:59]

"What's with all these question marks?" Theo asked, somewhat confused. He had worked on the game, but he certainly didn't develop everything himself. He was just part of a team that created an essential part of the game, but not all of it.
[Host has too many errors in his current profile; this was why a reboot was suggested.]
"So why am I seeing host as Theo and black dragon? Is it because I absorbed the dragon egg?"
[Yes and no. Technically, the dragon egg was extremely close to hatching and had therefore already formed a consciousness, though barely. Absorbing the egg's properties naturally means that you have to absorb the soul along with it, but apparently your void powers are not strong enough. Other errors, such as the void and space element, are simply because they are simply unaccessible to beginners at Level 0; therefore, the fact you have it means there is an error.]
He thought for a moment before finally deciding. "System, I've decided. Do not reboot; I would like to keep my attributes as they are."
[Are you sure.]
"I'm sure."
[Reboot failed... Retrieving Host attributes... Data retrieved...]
[Linking Host to other players chat room...]
[Error... Link failed. Error... Error... Error... ]
After one error message, the error messages began to pile up over each other before the system immediately crashed. Theo stared blankly into space, unaware of what just happened. Was he so abnormal that the system couldn't even accommodate him?
Theo decisively took his mind off the issues with the player-issued system and decided to focus on getting used to his space and fire powers.
He targeted a pebble, and it disappeared, directly appearing next to a tree. He sighed and looked at the pebble again. It disappeared again, this time not appearing anywhere.
Theo carefully sensed and discovered that he had succeeded in teleporting the pebble into the tree. He smiled as he saw his experiment was a success. He had to find new and innovative ways to use his element so he could have more options to use in battle.
He carefully experimented with different applications of space, like warping multiple things at the same time, displacing things extremely high up in the air, or even leaving things in the void. His understanding of space reached a whole new level with each failed and successful experiment, and after an hour, he decided to focus on his fire element.
Earlier, he noticed that he didn't actually need to chant spells; as far as spells go, they just needed adequate visualization, and you have yourself a spell. Of course, it wasn't just that simple; there were mechanics that needed to be mastered, which simple visualization wouldn't take care of. But for the basics, just visualization, and he was covered.
He started by making a small fireball hover on his palm, then tried to increase the distance between his palm and the fireball. However, no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't increase the distance past the ten-centimeter mark.
