The living armor named 'Gravel Stone' froze, however it didn't stay like that for long.
Uuuung
Gravel's body flared up, ready to run away, Carlos only stared, not worried in the slightest.
[Go ahead, If you want to break the 4th rule so badly]
[...]
Gravel stopped himself before doing something worse, he knew what It meant to break the 4th rule, of course he didn't know what exactly would happen but he did know he would face a fate far worse than death.
It was better to accept the punishment without resisting, this would lead to Gravel severely penalized but it was better than resisting and getting an even worse penalty.
[Wise choice]
The moment Carlos said this, Gravel Stone had completely disappeared from his spot.
[Gravel Stone has been sent to detention for 1 month due to breaking the 2nd rule which prohibits all acts of violence]
The words were declared to someone, however they were nowhere to be seen
[H-hooo]
Fiend who brought Carlos to the cafeteria took deep breaths. His task had been done exactly as Cale had asked of him but.
[...]
Cale was lying lifeless on the floor, eyes completely drained of vigor.
He's dead, or at the very least on the verge of it.
[Cale Dice....]
Carlos walked towards the cold body of Cale and spoke.
[In my memory I remember telling you that acts of vigilantism are prohibited]
[?]
'He's not going to'
Fiend froze by what Carlos had just said. But he knew what he was leading with this
[W-What are you-]
[Due to breaking the rules...]
Carlos pointed at Cale with his index finger.
[You will be sent to detention for 1 and a half months]
Cale's body then like a mirage disappeared in the air, the blood stained floor became clean and any trace of a student trying to survive were terminated.

While this was all happening
Cale was drifting to a place full of the unknown. Cold water kept dousing his back and slightly to the front, it was the ocean moving him along the small waves that raged timidly
Tranquility permeated throughout his entire body, he had already forgotten all the pain that was Inflicted on him, truly a miracle but Cale didn't know that, he couldn't even remember why a blood curling scream came out at the top of his lungs.
'Was I being dramatic? Did I really feel and experience that? No... what did I even feel In the first place?'
It felt like a lie, being and having been subjected to so much pain before and suddenly feeling at peace. It was a strange experience that made one want to savor this calm
In all of the large body of water, center of all of it was Cale treading the water In a horizontal position, floating above the fragile surface of the water.
His body motionlessly moved with the tiny waves of the calm water, not out of his own free will but someone else's.
He didn't know who or what it was, and he didn't have the smarts to find out the who.
So Cale did the only thing this strange place allowed him to do
Stargazing at the beautiful night sky above. Its stars shifted and moved constantly, different constellations forming and deforming into a variety of shapes
No other thought could fill his mind, not even the whispers he heard in his skull constantly ringing inside, let alone his speech
The only thing that could be seen and thought of was the night sky hanging limply above.
But this wasn't out of someone else's will, this was Cale's uninfluenced choice, he only wanted to carve the beautiful picturesque scenery in both pupil and mind.
He wanted to sear the scene in his retinas, so others could encapsulate the beauty shown, it felt a shame that only he could see this place and no one else but he also felt special for being the firs꩜^ to ever witness a place like this
Cale never was one known for being fond of taking pictures, but felt it was truly a shame that there couldn't be one taken when something this beautiful blessed eyes that could hold any significant understanding.
The starry sky was so unfathomably beautiful that Cale couldn't even feel the sensation of drowning in the ocean.
So entranced was he by the night sky that even the pain In his bleeding lungs seemed like a beautiful thing under this perfect art piece.
He never surfaced back up, only plunged deeper Into the dark ocean, a smile full of wonder and delight filled face were etched like a scribble on his skin. Cake never tore his eyes from staring at the picturesque sky, even as blood flowed from his teary eyes, mixing with the ocean that drowned his destiny whole.

"..."
A ceiling blushed under the intense glare of Cale, not able to recall what exactly happened detail to the hair, but was able to faintly remember that death flirted on his doorstep.
'A dream?'
He knew a dream very good was experienced but it was utterly impossible to recall with memory alone, his body also felt completely refreshed but there was a piercing ringing in his head.
"Ugh..."
A head was clutched in pain, trying to shield it from the flooding memories of how badly he got beaten up
'Where am I?'
Finally snapping out of it, the surroundings were thoroughly analyzed
'Is this....a classroom or a cell?'
The walls resembled the kind of wall you'd see in a jail cell, the chalkboard and lectern looked normal but what was most peculiar, was the position of the desks.
'All of the desks are facing.... the window?'
Every desk In the 'Classroom' faced the only window in the room where light poured in. It was a peculiar sight to anyone who saw it.
'What could be the meaning of this?'
Cale rested at one of the desks, close to the middle of the class. Attempting to see and find something he otherwise wouldn't unless he sat but there was nothing under the desks nor the other desks
step
A soft footstep made itself heard from behind, turning back to the source of the sound, only one look was taken at the figure.
'Carlos?'
The first thought associated the figure with one of familiarity
'No...it isn't him'
It looked like Carlos at first glance because the figure in front of was invisible, with only its clothes being the only visible thing but not only did it not have the iconic square glasses of Carlos, Its clothes were completely different from him as well.
'Is it a girl?'
Cale didn't know if these monsters had any genders and there wasn't really any non-offensive way to find out.
But the way it was dressed up made him confident it was a girl, the long skirt it wore, its invisible legs donned in black stockings and the pure white shoes its feet neatly settled themselves in with the black suit it wore a stark contrast from the white, these were all indicators that the individual here couldn't be a guy.
'She has...a medium and..compact sized heart'
Only true and laid bare facts were displayed. Cale only saw what could be seen that could be used as evidence to support his claims
[Hello there, Cale Dice]
She spoke to the student twisting their body towards the chalkboard, she stood before the podium
Cale alternated his gaze from her to the door, it was closed
'How did she get in here without the door opening'
The door and its hinges were all metal. Not only that, but the metal door is so low to the ground that it would undoubtedly scrape against the floor and make a sound
[You are probably wondering where you are correct?]
Wrong, he was wondering about if a metal door could make the sound of creaking or scraping
[Ah I heard you were mute]
She wrote in something that looked like a notebook. Her smile though made her curiosity fade, almost as if she found something funny
'What is she writing?'
Curiosity wanted to ask but it was also the thing that killed the cat sometimes
[I will explain to you what had happened while you were unconscious]
Ears perked up like a drooping cat at those words.
[First of all, this place is detention]
'What? why am I-'
[The reason for why you are here is simple]
She kept speaking, regardless of the student's shocked expression.
[You broke the rules]
"..?"
'Okay. What the hell is she-'
[Acts of vigilantism are strictly prohibited, this is why you were sent to detention and will stay there for 1 and a half months]
"..."
Everything paused, he wanted to refute what she said but.
'Technically, she isn't wrong....'
From a teacher's perspective what had been done was actually an act of vigilantism, though barely did it fit that description.
Poof
Something appeared out of thin air, It was books. Cale's books
They fell onto the old desk, the invisible woman continued her rehearsed speech.
[Those are your books, read them, every important thing in the book has been outlined and highlighted for you to understand more easily]
'That's surprising? they are making it easier for me to survive?'
The woman scoffed
[Of course, If you don't read them, no matter how easy we make it for you to understand It will all be meaningless if you don't open the book in the first place]
'Is she...making fun of me?'
[Well that is all, bye~ I hope you enjoy your solitary confinement~ Well... it isn't really one if you've got a neighbor, right?]
Her body carried itself to the metal door
[Well, you might not even be capable of studying if you are only in pain, well I doubt anything serious will happen, the previous generation may have been bad but they weren't all terrible]
Once the monologue finished. She disappeared like mist, gone completely, not a trace of her remained in the classroom, a mouth couldn't even be opened to voice a question.
"How the hell am I supposed to survive here for 1 and a half month here?"
There wasn't even any food or water, it was impossible
'Huh...'
When speaking, a voice is expected to come out naturally
'M-My voice'
Nothing came out of his mouth, something as simple as a voice should've come out but this time it couldn't come out.
Not a single word made itself uttered to the world whatsoever
'H-How, no why can I not'
Cale panicked, palms already drenched in sweat, breathing turning ragged quickly, a loud thump In his head rang and sang an encore.
It was his heart and it was beating so fast and so loud that it drowned out any other sound that could be heard, if there even was any
He stood up, legs weak, but nonetheless forced himself to move towards the door.
The handle was gripped like how a handlebar would be on a bike and pushed.
"Hmp!"
Nothing, attempts to pulling it were made but was only met with the same result.
"Ha.. Ha.. Ha.."
A lot of time was spent trying to pry open the door with various other methods like kicking, throwing a desk at it and all sorts of other ways before giving up.
'What Is this door made of!'
A mouth opened, trying to instinctively talk but only a weak squeal came out of the sound-restricted mouth.
He stared at the door once more, took a few rushed steps back, then sprinted and-
Crash!
Crashed and threw his body at the door like a siege weapon
The effort was met with a fall down at the ground and the door sat tall and mighty while spiritually mocking at the failures of escape made by a single man.
It hadn't even bent slightly.
'Well if throwing a desk or kicking it didn't work. It wouldn't have made any sense If the door suddenly broke simply because a body was thrown at it'
He got up to his feet, patting down all the dust accumulated on his clothes and then laying eyes at the only window in this room
Standing before the window of possible escape and looking at the ground.
"..."
'Just...where in the world did they shove me in exactly?'
Nothing could seen below, a void was all that could be distinctively seen. However when looking up.
A clear bright sky and a bright sun met his vision, the difference between the two was clear.
Cale's hands moved and tried to open the window.
It also wouldn't budge at all.
This place was completely and utterly sealed in, with no one capable of leaving or entering
It felt like being a caged animal, stripped of any freedom and forced to do one thing.
Eyes lock onto the only task that could be done, which also rested neatly on the desk.
'I should at least study for a few hours, right?'
He made his way back and sat down at the old-worn out desk, taking the opportunity to study with no distractions since he knew very a chance like this wouldn't appear again.
