[Shit!]
Boom!
The floor was struck, the impact it received so powerful people would think It were a small bomb that had gone off
However nothing happened to the wooden floor, it was clean. not a single speck of dust seeped into the wood.
[Fuck!]
Crash!
Desks were flung over, crashing into the walls with great force.
[Ha Ha Ha]
A being resembling Living armor stood in the middle of the carnage that it itself had caused.
[Damn it...]
'I was completely reckless'
[I can't believe I fell for the oldest trick in the book]
It covered one of its empty eye sockets, a sound akin to metal grinding came from where a human mouth would originally be.
'That bastard completely and utterly screwed me over'
It won its battle, but alas. In the end it had lost to someone else on the battlefield.
[Whatever, I can just kill that bastard whenever I want to]
No matter how long it took, Gravel swore to kill that bastard who set him up.
[I didn't know he was a sensory type though....No wonder he was confident in facing me] This was not true...Cale did not plan for anything because he overestimated himself, he thought that If he just did it his future self would find a way to survive.
Cale brought that pain onto himself, he thought that even if it seemed impossible at first he would be able to handle it.
And his future self did handle it, barely.
[Cough!]
Metallic liquid rushed out in sprays
[Sh-it, regression is my punishment? Out of all things?]
While it didn't seem like a serious punishment at first, to Gravel, it was the worst possible punishment that anyone could inflict on him
In the meantime, the room next to Gravel
"..Ha...Hegh!"
Cale's body was convulsing, spasms occurring in every nook and cranny.
He was having a nightmare. But it wasn't a normal one, nothing like the nightmares he faced days prior
When he found himself In detention. At first, he was fine, nothing particularly was wrong with him. His mind had been eerily tranquil, but that tranquility didn't last for long, because the moment he tried to sleep.
"W-Wait..pleas-"
He was in a never ending loop of nightmares, a nightmare that wouldn't end. It was realistic, like it really was happening but Cale knew well that wasn't the case and this was only an illusion
Each time he'd beg for his life, he'd give every shred of his dignity away but.
Crush!
His body was crushed.
It was mangled and turned into a grotesque form. Though, he didn't have a mirror that could tell him if it really was like that
The creature in front of him clapped and cared for him. It loved him, to the point of being a fan.
"AHHH!"
It kept asking Cale for an encore, an encore of his beautiful song filled with screams so soothing It involuntarily fell in love with the singer.
However Cale needed a stimulating experience to let out a blood curling scream from the bottom of his heart in order to perform.
So what did it do?
Well, obviously it gave Cale that stimulus!
Crack!
It crushed his body, bones and tortured Cale as much as it pained him to hurt the most pure and innocent singer this lowly being came to know.
Cale felt it, every bone being crushed to powder, every limb of his bending in unnatural ways. He felt it all, tears mixed with blood kept flowing from his eyes, even though he didn't want them to flow out of his eyes.
He felt utterly pathetic the more tears flowed from his body.
This was looping and reenacting again and again, telling him that this was the future that entailed and awaited ahead of him
"Huuu...."
Cale woke up, unable to sleep for even a second.
His eyes were bloodshot, they stung with the amount of tears that flowed.
"What...what the hell is wrong with me?"
His voice cracked, he couldn't understand the nightmare he experienced just now.
Cale has had nightmares, but by far this was the worst one he has ever had. By a long shot
This has already been occurring and happening for two consecutive days already.
He couldn't stay awake for that long, he was exhausted, tired and utterly drained of all life.
To add rakija to the injury, his voice had completely disappeared, only weak squeals could audibly be heard.
However he couldn't sleep, no matter how much he tried to sleep, he would always face the same disturbing nightmare.
As if it were insulting his Incompetence.
"Ha Ha Ha"
Ba-Thump!
Ba-Thump!
Ba-Thump!
His heart was beating up against his bone cage loudly, his chest expanded heavy with every ragged breath he drew slowly.
He turned to his side, grasping his trembling arms tightly together, his legs drew and tucked closer to his chest.
The cold wind bit deeply into his skin, making him shiver as he forced himself to sleep.
***
Three days later
"..."
A pale face, dark circles so deep one might have thought they were a ghost, the messy hair seemed the most normal thing on the individual whose eyes were devoid of any and all life.
This was Cale's current state.
Nothing but his appearance changed.
He hadn't been able to sleep for even 10 minutes without having dreadful nightmares plague him.
Cale was tired and wanted to sleep, but he couldn't ever fall asleep with sweet dreams comforting him.
It was painful, every time he'd try to move, a wave of nausea would hit him or he would fall down completely to the floor out of pure exhaustion.
He couldn't even think straight anymore.
His vision were filled with hallucinations and constant ringing whispers, he would see bright stars along with bright intricate geometry shapes all with different colors.
He closed his bloodshot eyes begging for sleep, but just like every other time, he was met with nightmares.
Thud
Thud
Thud
Loud bangs were heard, It forced Cale to jolt up from his nightmare.
It came from the wall.
Cale tried to move towards the wall but he just couldn't muster any strength to do something as simple as that.
[You're there aren't you! I know you can hear me you bastard!]
He heard a voice coming from the wall, It reminded him of the voice he would hear from the living armor in his nightmares.
His body trembled, It convulsed at the familiar voice.
It was fear, Cale's body feared the living armor, but his fatigued mind?
'Kill him'
It was resolved to kill him and the constant whispers rang out in unison with Cale's thoughts. At this point, he didn't care, any underhanded trick that could be discovered would be used to kill him
He despised it, he despised his current situation, but he also hated himself for taking such actions.
If he had simply stayed at the school building he would have been safe.
But if he hadn't done that, he knew he would've eventually died.
The school building didn't have any weapon store or infirmary, but then how could Fiend acquire Dwon? a medicine meant to heal someone's once lost voice? This world's 'medicine' that Cale's world didn't have
It was obvious, there was a store that sold items that could aid him and possibly make up for his weakness, of course the store could be hidden in the school building but Cale hadn't been able to find anything like that during his exploration.
Cale rummaged through his pockets with his tired hands expecting to find something.
"..."
But nothing, the medicine that was always in his pocket was gone the moment he entered detention.
In fact he tried to use Dwon the day he was sent to detention and realized his voice was gone, but the medicine wasn't anywhere to be found, which made Cale even more stressed, so stressed that he pulled on his own messy hair out of frustration.
[I'm going to fucking kill you!!! Do you hear me?! I will take my revenge!]
The living armor said, conveniently saying something only a third rate villain would say.
'Kuk'
Cale smiled eerily
'Ma-Cale. You want to kick his metal brains out? I agree with you~'
The black lines grew more intense in his blurred vision, he couldn't make them out but he knew that they most certainly were acting strangely
He had already lost all reason and started losing it
Any filter he had before had been eviscerated and every word he spouted in his hazy mind were full of unrestrained malice
Cale usually would say something along the lines of "If I just simply survive then I won't have to see those monsters ever again, so I should run"
But right now he'd say something along the lines of "If I just kill them all. I will survive, right? So just somehow kill them!"
Cough!
Cale violently coughed up any remaining bile in his stomach, right now everything felt even more nauseous than before.
"Ha....Ha"
Every breath that Cale drew in made him feel more and more sick than before
Never In his life could the thought of breathing become so difficult.
'I-I need to sleep'
He could barely wring those thoughts together.
If he couldn't get even an hour of sleep in, he knew he might genuinely die.
Sleep is important to every living creature, so important that they would die if they don't sleep for days. But what happens when you get inflicted with a vivid and painful nightmare trying to sleep?
You would at first try to avoid sleeping, but then you quickly realize you cannot live without sleeping, so you sleep regardless of the terrible nightmares you might have.
But Cale couldn't, even though he desperately wanted to sleep, he would always be forced wide awake by the horrific nightmares he has.
The murmurs in his mind became clear
"...?"
He had been granted an Idea, chances were it wouldn't work since it was risky and just dumb overall but...Was Cale of sound mind to know not to make such a decision?
"Hmp!"
His exhausted body was raised up, however it fell down weakly, the strength to raise it was no longer here within him anymore.
So he tried to raise it again, he failed this time as well, so he tried again.
He tried and tried no matter how much time passed until he could raise his body.
"..."
And he did it, eventually he raised his body and was on his feet again, they wobbled but he didn't pay it any more attention than that. He felt nauseous but he still moved towards the only light source in the room.
The window.
And his vision cleared, all of the black lines pointed at it, but they all cleared themselves away from the center because in that center
Was a white-pure thin line that also pointed directly at the paned glass
After carefully and steadily making his way towards the window, he grasped the frame tightly, he gripped it with all of his strength he had left and-
Crash!
He smashed his head into the window.
The tremor shook the room, the strength was superhuman, the loud bang was so loud that even Gravel jolted up and felt something ominous happening
[Wh-What are you]
The living armor's voice cracked, confused by what he had just heard.
Drip
Blood flowed from Cale's head, however the window
"..."
Remained intact. This time however, a bright red paint stained and dyed the glass disgustingly.
The light passing through the blood stained glass took on a red hue.
Crash!
Cale crashed his head into the window again, the glass becoming even more blood stained, tremors spreading like webs and waves
Crash!
He did it again. Harder
Crash!
Again
Crash!
And again.
Thud
Until he fell limply onto the ground.
His pale face, drenched in blood, looked at the window
The pure clean walls, window and floor were all defiled by one person's blood.
On that person's once clean face married a smirk, one that held desperation and madness. Not joy at what he had done, but pure spiraling madness that was fated to be apart of his nature, like an invasive species
