Chapter 142 - Chapter 141 : Xingling then led Arata and Naruto to Karin's room.

Naruto represented kindness, justice, and empathy....the brightest aspects of human nature.

He would gain countless friends, even turn enemies through his sincerity.

Even the Nine-Tails itself—a being born of pain, hatred, and resentment...would eventually be moved by him.

Arata's actions now were simply smoothing the road Naruto would walk in the future.

After finishing his talk with Naruto, Arata turned to Xingling, who had been listening quietly.

"Sister Xiangling, could you help me find a quiet, private room? Somewhere calm will do. The seal check won't take long."

Xingling thought for a moment before replying,

"Would Karin's room work? It's clean and has good sound insulation."

Arata had no strict requirements. He nodded in agreement.

Xingling then led Arata and Naruto to Karin's room.

Since they had only recently arrived in Konoha, the room was sparsely furnished.....just simple wooden furniture, neat and uncluttered.

After bringing them inside, Xingling stepped out and gently closed the door behind her.

She trusted Arata completely. She believed that with his character, he would never do anything harmful to Naruto.

So she left Naruto in his care without worry.

Naruto, whose senses were unusually sharp, also felt no malice from the uncle before him. Still, seals were something he didn't understand, and the unfamiliarity made him nervous.

When Arata's gaze settled on him, Naruto's tension rose once more.

When Arata's gaze fell upon Naruto, the boy grew even more nervous. He asked anxiously,

"Uncle Arata… what do I need to do?"

Seeing the tension on Naruto's small face, Arata's smile softened further.

He reached out and patted Naruto's head reassuringly.

"Relax. It's nothing serious. Just lie down on the bed for now. It'll be over quickly....no need to worry."

Hearing this, Naruto immediately walked over to the bed.

After taking off his shoes, he lay down stiffly, straight as a board, not daring to move an inch.

Arata watched Naruto's tense posture and chuckled quietly, but he didn't say anything else.

He knew that no matter how much he tried to comfort him now, it wouldn't help much. It was better to begin right away.

Without further hesitation, Arata activated his Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan.

With the aid of his dōjutsu, his consciousness directly entered Naruto's inner world.

Within a dark, damp underground labyrinth, Arata stepped through shallow water that reached his ankles. Droplets echoed in the darkness as he moved forward.

With his keen perception, there was no need to wander aimlessly.

He could clearly sense a direction that radiated overwhelming malice. Arata knew that if he followed it, he would find the Nine-Tails.

After turning a corner, the legendary beast finally came into view.

Behind an enormous iron gate lay a colossal orange fox, its massive body resembling a small mountain.

Its fur gleamed vividly even in the dim light, and behind it, nine tails swayed lazily.

The moment Arata noticed it, the Nine-Tails noticed him as well.

It lifted its head, enormous eyes glaring through the iron bars as it spoke in a deep, hostile voice.

"That ominous aura… and that cold, human-controlling ocular power. Another cursed Uchiha?"

Arata showed no reaction to the hostility. He knew exactly how much suffering the Nine-Tails had endured at Uchiha Madara's hands.....the pain, the humiliation, the feeling of being manipulated like a tool. Anyone would resent that.

Since the Nine-Tails had already noticed him, Arata calmly greeted it.

"Kurama. Hello. This is our first meeting. My name is Uchiha Arata. Please take care of me."

The instant the Nine-Tails heard that name, its fur bristled.

The beast leapt to its feet, instantly entering a combat stance.

Chakra surged violently from its body, and a berserk, crushing pressure rushed straight toward Arata.

Standing his ground, Arata felt the suffocating force wash over him. The corners of his mouth curved upward slightly.

He mobilized his chakra and ocular power, pouring them into his Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan.

His eyes spun wildly as a presence no weaker than the Nine-Tails' erupted outward, slamming back toward the beast.

As the two chakra-laced pressures collided, the shallow water surged violently. Waves splashed high, and the entire underground labyrinth trembled.

Arata narrowed his eyes and increased his output once more.

A far more domineering aura burst forth.

Under this added pressure, the Nine-Tails' momentum was steadily forced back.
