With the fall of the King of Jioral, every undead soldier in the capital collapsed instantly. The Three Champions—once thought unbeatable—were reduced to lifeless corpses.
They had long been puppets of the undead power, their humanity erased.
Realizing that Takumi had resolved everything, Kureha and Flare quickly reestablished contact with their former subordinates.
In mere hours, the chaos in the capital subsided. Yet this calm was nothing but the eye of the storm.
"We must rebuild a new government," Ellen said gravely, gathering everyone in the royal hall.
"The most crucial task now is restoring the people's trust. Years of tyranny under the Jioral King have exhausted them—many have lost all faith in this nation.
We need a new leader… and a way to purge their hatred."
The once-proud kingdom was now fractured beyond recognition. The army was shattered, the nobles dead or fled, and neighboring kingdoms eyed the land hungrily. If it were anyone but Takumi standing before her, Ellen would've already suggested abandoning the country entirely.
"I left the old king alive precisely for this moment," Takumi said, smiling faintly.
He dragged the imprisoned monarch from his cage, tossing him onto the floor like a broken doll. Then he placed his hands atop Freya and Ellen's heads, dispelling the seals that had merged or suppressed their consciousness.
When the two opened their eyes, their gazes toward Takumi were very different. Flare's expression remained calm—utterly loyal, living now only as her master's obedient hound. Her dual personalities were close to complete fusion.
Norn and Ellen, on the other hand, hadn't merged—but Norn's attitude had softened noticeably. After all, her body had softened far too many times already; her mouth could no longer stay firm.
Seeing their father again, both Flare and Norn were expressionless. There was no familial warmth left between them—Royal blood holds no love was written plainly across their faces.
He had raised them as tools, and they now regarded him as nothing more than trash.
"Master, do you require anything of me?"
Flare stepped forward, voice honeyed, pressing herself against Takumi's arm.
Her behavior was even bolder than her counterpart's.
The old king let out a weak, broken cry. "My daughters! Save me!"
"...Die, you filth."
Flare's voice was cold, her contempt cutting deeper than any blade. The king's last illusion shattered completely.
Realizing neither daughter would help, he turned back to Takumi in terror. "Please—please spare me! I'll never stand in your way again, I'll disappear!"
"Hehe... You're the closure I owe to the people," Takumi replied, chuckling darkly.
He turned his gaze to Norn, who quickly straightened, her expression regaining its composure. "Master... are you planning to become king? I can make the arrangements immediately."
"No," Takumi waved dismissively. "Let your sister take the throne. I'll just stand in for the ceremony."
Understanding his intention, Norn immediately dispatched soldiers to gather the citizens in the plaza.
Moments later, Flare stood upon the royal balcony—radiant, poised, and playing her role to perfection, just as she once did.
"Princess Flare!"
The crowd erupted in cheers, their eyes filled with renewed hope. Flare raised her voice, letting her words echo over the masses:
"Everyone, please listen! My disappearance was because great danger had befallen our kingdom. It was this man—the honorable Hero of Healing—who led me to safety. And it was he, with his companions, who defeated my corrupted father and saved our beloved Jioral!"
Her clear voice carried through the square.
"I have reclaimed the Jioral Kingdom I love! Please, lend me your strength, and believe in me! To rebuild our nation, we must cleanse the rot. Even if it means condemning my own father—I shall do so for our future!"
At her signal, guards dragged the bound old king onto the execution platform.
"With this man's death," Flare declared, "I hereby end the rule of the old Jioral Kingdom! Release your anger, my people! Then tomorrow, join me in creating a new Jioral!"
"Hooooray!!"
The crowd's fury burst forth. Stones, curses, and blows rained upon the former monarch until he was nothing but unrecognizable flesh. When it was over, Flare pointed toward Takumi.
"From this day forth, none shall fear foreign invasion or demonic threat—Because this man, the Hero of Healing, stands as our protector!"
Takumi stepped forward, gathering mana into a vast orb of light that soared into the sky. It arced across the horizon—
BOOM!!!
A deafening explosion rocked the earth. A mountain hundreds of meters tall was leveled in an instant; the chain of peaks torn apart as if by a god's hand.
"Behold!" Takumi's voice thundered. "This is my power. Fear no one—for my protection is yours!"
"Hero-sama!!!"
The people's cheers rose even louder than before, echoing across the entire capital.
With Flare's compassion and Takumi's overwhelming might, order was swiftly restored. The Jioral Kingdom, once in ruin, was reborn overnight.
Even though all three former Heroes and their allies had perished, no nation dared to invade—not while Takumi stood as its guardian.
When peace finally returned, Flare and Norn wasted no time in clinging to Takumi back in the Interdimensional Realm.
"Takumi-sama~♡ Flare did well this time, didn't she? Please... reward me lots and lots~♡"
"Big Sister's too sly! Norn did even more work—Master, I want a reward too!"
They wrapped around his arms, bodies pressed close, unable to suppress their yearning any longer. Even Norn, who once held back, had fully surrendered. The kingdom was rebuilt, and resistance was pointless.
When hope dies, pleasure becomes the only escape.
"You've both been good girls," Takumi said with a grin. "Of course I'll reward you properly."
He pulled them close by the waist and kissed Flare deeply. After spending so long with Freya and Ellen's personalities, sharing moments with these sisters stirred a different thrill altogether.
"Takumi-sama~"
"Hero-sama~~"
"Takumi..."
Seeing Flare and Norn take the lead, the other girls resting in the Interdimensional Realm couldn't sit still. They had all contributed—and none of them would let their reward slip away.
Setsuna was the first to pounce. After slaying countless monsters and undead soldiers, her experience bar was overflowing—now she needed a new kind of breakthrough.
As mana-filled air grew thick with heat and sighs, a faint crack echoed from the soft cushion nearby—the Divine Bird Egg was beginning to hatch.
