Chapter 222 - Chapter 187 – Alchemy Technique

After reading Tsumiki's status screen, Takumi shook his head.

"Whew… your sister isn't cursed. Her situation's more complicated than that."

Hearing that his sister wasn't cursed, Fushiguro's eyes went wide as he pressed, "Th-then what is it?! What's the real reason?!"

"She's been possessed by a cursed object, and she's in the incarnation phase."

"But her body—the vessel—can't handle that sudden spike in cursed energy, so her flesh basically went into hibernation."

That explanation made the veins on Fushiguro's forehead jump.

"Incarnation?!"

As a jujutsu sorcerer, he knew exactly what that meant.

This was way worse than a simple curse. In plain terms, it was possession—someone trying to hijack her body.

And if the incarnation fully completed, that meant the original soul in that body would be erased.

Fushiguro clenched his fist, voice trembling as he forced the words out. "Then my sister… is she—she's still alive?"

"You can thank the fact that your sister's jujutsu talent isn't as good as yours."

"Her body couldn't adapt to that much cursed energy, so the cursed object and the original host both fell into dormancy together."

"Right now, the two sides are stuck in this weird balance. If that balance breaks, your sister's done."

The brief explanation made Fushiguro let out a breath… only for his heart to shoot straight back up into his throat.

"Senpai… then my sister… can she still be saved?"

He didn't even have the spare mental space to think about why Tsumiki had been possessed in the first place.

He thought of Itadori—he'd also been possessed and went through incarnation, but Yuji could still control himself, which meant there was still a chance.

Facing Fushiguro's desperate hope, Takumi nodded. "Don't underestimate me, kid. I can handle a problem like this."

"It's just… annoying."

The instant he heard there was hope, Fushiguro grabbed Takumi's hand. "Senpai, please save my sister! I'll pay any price—anything!!"

He was practically begging on his knees now. To him, Takumi was the only hope Tsumiki had left.

Takumi really couldn't stand that attitude.

If it were a cute girl doing this, his mood would probably improve, but a grown guy? Yeah… it was killing the vibe.

"Relax. I never said I wouldn't save her. Just don't do that."

After hauling Fushiguro back up, Takumi placed his hand on Tsumiki's forehead.

Normally, cursed-object possession like this was basically unsolvable. Unless the possessing object chose to leave on its own—abandoning the host to search for a better body—there was no clean way to remove it.

"But for me, it's just a deep reset and restore. Before that, I need to get the [Construction Technique (Blue)] off Tsumiki first."

Takumi thought for a moment, then flicked Fushiguro a look.

"Step outside. I'm going to use a patented technique." [T/N: lol]

"Oh—okay! Y-yes!"

At this point, Fushiguro did whatever Takumi said without question. He hurried out of the room and even locked the door behind him.

Once he was gone, light flared in Takumi's palm.

"[Imitation]!"

He immediately used his restore magic to copy the technique from Tsumiki.

[Ding! Obtained Trait: Construction Technique (Blue)]

In the next instant, knowledge of the Construction Technique poured into his mind like an ocean.

"So that's how it works… Yeah, okay—now I get why it's only Blue."

On paper, Construction sounded insane—almost like it was on the level of turning imagination into reality, but once Takumi actually understood it, the gap was massive.

Construction's output of cursed energy was, in reality, pretty low.

The more precise and complex the thing you made, the cost skyrocketed exponentially.

Even for someone like Yorozu, a special-grade sorcerer, the cursed energy drain in actual combat was far higher than other sorcerers at the same level.

That was why she tended to fall behind in fights against equals.

And it wasn't truly limitless, either. It wasn't "you can build literally anything you've seen" with no restrictions.

That "anything" in the description was more like marketing hype.

"But in my hands, it's different. My control over magic power is basically down to the atomic level now. With this Construction Technique, making a nuke by hand would be easy."

"And this Construction Technique can be integrated into alchemy magic. With my abilities, I can push that anything closer to being real."

"The only limitation is that I still have to have seen it. If I haven't seen it, I can't mass-produce it."

"But if I have seen it… I can build it."

With a god-tier mind, terrifying comprehension, and an ability to see into fundamentals, Takumi smoothly fused Construction with his alchemy magic.

[Ding! Obtained Trait: Alchemy Technique (Purple)]

[Alchemy Technique (Purple): Using your magic power as a base, you can construct any object or lifeform you've seen before—including divine artifacts.]

Takumi's fingers moved, tapping at empty air like he was typing on an invisible keyboard.

A small, exquisitely detailed magic circle appeared in his palm. Threads of light gathered toward the center, shining brilliantly.

Outside the room, Fushiguro could only sense an overwhelming surge of magical power inside.

He immediately assumed Takumi was treating his sister—and clasped his hands together, praying for Tsumiki.

Inside the room, Takumi was using the Alchemy Technique to create a divine artifact out of nothing.

"Alchemy Technique: Construct!"

"Boosted Gear—show yourself!"

As Takumi burned a small amount of divine power, a freshly forged Boosted Gear came out—still warm.

"Not the same spec as the one on my body. This is the Purple-quality version—the un-evolved model."

"The core problem is I'm missing Ddrag's soul, so the Sacred Gear's grade drops a bit."

"But the other properties are basically fine. Boost. Penetration… no Juggernaut Drive, but it can still go Balance Breaker. That's already damn good."

Turning the Boosted Gear over in his hands, Takumi couldn't stop the grin spreading across his face.

This haul was huge.

He could genuinely mass-produce divine artifacts now.

"Every girl is a treasure." Takumi gently brushed Tsumiki's cheek, his voice unusually soft.

Then he stored the Boosted Gear away in his space-time pocket.

He planned to make a whole batch later and let his household pick what they wanted, but making only Boosted Gear would be too boring—he'd need to arrange things like "Santa Maria's Smile," and plenty of other divine artifacts too.

"I can't keep slacking. I've gotta go collect more divine artifacts."

Takumi muttered to himself, then placed his hand over Tsumiki's upper chest—purely to channel the restore technique precisely and stabilize the incarnation/host balance more safely.

With his focus sharpened, his restore magic flowed smoother and cleaner.
