Chapter 280 - Chapter 243 – Godslaying Ascension!

Watching Takumi casually erase the Corrupt Spirit with a flick of his finger, Filvis—standing right behind him—looked like her admiration was about to spill out of her eyes.

"Takumi-san… you really are worthy of the title Hero of Miracles!"

Filvis's heartfelt praise made the surrounding adventurers nod along in perfect agreement.

"It's just a reputation," Takumi said lightly. "If you're interested, Filvis, I can teach you too."

He leaned in close to her ear and murmured it softly—then winked.

Filvis's cute elf ear immediately twitched. A lovely blush flooded down her pale neck.

And of course… only Takumi, standing that close, got to enjoy the view.

Right now, Filvis only felt that Takumi was warm, kind, and approachable.

As for whether he might be after her body… how could she even think something so rude? This was the hero who had saved them.

Feeling ashamed of her own stray suspicion, Filvis nodded shyly.

Takumi honestly wanted to tease her a bit more but he noticed Dionysus was about to bolt, so he grabbed an excuse and moved.

"Evilus remnants may still have other schemes. I'm going to search around. See you later."

Before the last word fully landed, Takumi had already turned into an afterimage and vanished.

"So fast… just as expected of Takumi-san! And he's still running around for Orario's safety…"

"Compared to that…"

Filvis, feeling absurdly lucky to be alive, couldn't help recalling what Takumi had just told her.

If I went to him… would he really teach me?

The thought took root—quietly turning into a goal she wanted to reach.

Takumi didn't chase Dionysus like a reckless idiot. Killing had to be clean, precise, and lethal.

And godslaying had to be even more decisive.

"Ten Shadows Technique: Shadow Dive!"

His body sank—melting into the darkness beneath his feet.

Then his trait 100 km/h (Purple) triggered, boosting him to a terrifying pace.

The Boosted Gear manifested, and mana surged violently through his body.

"Boost!"

"Heroic Wish!"

He began charging with his strongest Authority—the Moon.

"Moon… manifest."

Endless moonlight condensed in his palm, and the faint threads of divine power were enough to make the Dungeon itself grow restless—agitated, almost enraged.

Still not satisfied, Takumi formed a one-handed seal and murmured in his heart:

"Star's Rage!"

Thump—thump—thump!!

Feeling the Dungeon's strange tremor, Dionysus still didn't realize he was about to be ambushed.

He hurried toward the exit, muttering to himself with a grin.

"Looks like the sacrifice is beginning… the true darkness is coming!"

Then he sensed a trace of moon-god divinity.

"Artemis?"

There weren't many gods who held the Moon Authority.

And in heaven, Artemis had shot him—and other male gods—more times than he wanted to remember.

So Dionysus's sensitivity to moon divinity was… exceptionally sharp.

But the moment he registered it—a blazing full moon appeared directly in front of him.

"A Moon Manifestation—?! What is this?!"

Dionysus recognized it instantly: a pseudo-moon dropping toward him.

He tried to flee but the moment it drew close, a horrifying gravitational pull seized him, yanking his body toward that small moon.

"AAAH—this gravity… it's like that black sphere Takumi used earlier!!"

He wasn't wrong.

Takumi had stacked virtual mass onto the Pseudo Moon—enough to rival an actual moon.

This strike would pulverize him and kill him outright.

So Dionysus couldn't keep hiding anymore.

"Damn it—damn it!!"

"I was this close to witnessing the greatest terror and despair!"

A thousand curses screamed in his head.

But compared to dying and waiting tens of thousands—maybe hundreds of thousands—of years to revive…

He'd rather release divine power and return to heaven, then look for another chance to slip down.

The instant Dionysus erupted with godly power—Takumi, waiting in the shadows, struck.

"That's what I've been waiting for!"

His grin was bright—almost joyful—as the condensed Godslayer Power detonated.

THUNK—!

One punch slammed into Dionysus's abdomen.

The penetrating force tore through him so violently his body nearly shattered in an instant.

"It's you!!"

Dionysus was bleeding everywhere, eyes blazing red as he glared at Takumi.

He never imagined this was Takumi's doing—a mortal, no matter how abnormal, was still supposed to be mortal.

So how could a mortal possess Godslayer Power?!

A flood of questions erupted in Dionysus's mind but he didn't have time to think.

Takumi's hand shot out and clamped around his throat.

"Wait, I— ngh!!"

Dionysus struggled to speak.

Takumi didn't care.

"Die."

That single word carried pure, delighted intent.

Godslayer Power surged—interwoven with restoration magic—like billions of steel needles stabbing into Dionysus's divine shell.

Crack—crack—crack!!

Fractures spread across Dionysus's god-body like shattered tempered glass.

In that moment, Dionysus understood completely.

Takumi was going to slay a god.

And what terrified him even more—his divinity and godly essence were being absorbed.

His collapsing body dissolved into countless particles of light, and those divine particles were being drained into Takumi without pause.

"You're not mortal… you're… a god…"

Dionysus pointed at him with pure horror and spoke the truth of what he was.

Only one thought remained in his mind, When did heaven give birth to a god who slays gods?!

But as those words left Dionysus—Takumi's expression didn't change at all.

He simply crushed Dionysus's head.

BOOM—!

The shattered head became a glow of light—and was fully inhaled with Takumi's breath.

Takumi's divinity flared.

His godly power exploded upward—multiplying several times over.

His aura surged and broke past the Super Demon King threshold in an instant.

And bathed in dense divinity, every cell of Takumi's body greedily devoured that power.

[Ding! Randomly obtained trait: Authority of Wine (Gold).]

"…Huh?"

Takumi—still savoring the rush—raised an eyebrow at the new trait.

Was a duplicate trait even useful? He checked his status window.

The two traits merged.

Authority of Wine (Gold) didn't change rank—but an Authority that previously had little direct offensive function had suddenly gained… additional capability.
