His face chilled
"What are you trying to do Derek?" He asked his voice trembling, not out of fear but rage instead.
"What? Trembling already? You didn't tell your new friends you're a faggot?" Derek asked with an ugly smirk that he thought makes him look cool.
Then Tyler suddenly smile, his dimples deepening as his eyes almost closed
"You sound... jealous? Ah don't worry you're not my type" he said with a cheeky grin making the class echo in laughter. "But, faggot, really? Don't you think I'm oozing with cuteness overload?" He asked blinking as if trying to seduce someone making the class chuckle again.
Derek face turns beet red in anger and embarrassment "you..." He pointed his finger about to explode when a cold and tired voice cuts him off "Drop it Derek" the voice said and Derek visibly stiffen, hesitated for some time before storming to his sit in embarrassment even forgetting his two followers making them stand in awkwardness not knowing of to drop a threat or not but thankfully a woman entered with stacks of books
"All right, settle down," she said briskly. "I hope no one's planning to make my day difficult."
A few snickers broke out again. Tyler straightened in his seat, a faint smile returning. Jason leaned over and whispered,
"You handled that like a pro. I like it"
"Honestly, it's exhausting " Tyler signed and Jason wordlessly patted his shoulder.
By the end of class, Derek had given up trying to reclaim attention, and the new boys had started whispering quietly among themselves. When the bell finally rang, chairs screeched, and students poured toward the hallway.
Tyler stood, gathering his books. He turned back once more.
"You guys eating in the cafeteria?" he asked.
Caleb shrugged. "We were planning to."
Tyler grinned. "Cool. I'll show you where the least suspicious food is served."
Ethan glanced at him, curious despite himself. "You're persistent, huh?"
Tyler shrugged. "Someone's gotta make sure you don't sit alone on your first day."
Ethan shook his head, almost smiling this time. "Fine. Lead the way, tour guide."
As they walked out together, Derek watched from his desk, jaw tight.
He didn't like being ignored.
And Tyler, for all his friendliness, didn't notice the way Leon's eyes lingered on Derek, calm, calculating , like he'd already decided this wouldn't be the last time they clashed.
As they made their way to the cafeteria –
"Jason Han!!" Jason heard his name and turned to look, Yun Qiaolan and Mei xuelian quickly caught up to them.
"Hey, how was it? Bad right?" Yun Qiaolan asked almost immediately
Rolling his eyes dramatically Han jinhai replied "not bad....it was entertaining" he replied with a smirk when he recalled something making Yun Qiaolan narrow her eyes
"*cough* hi new friends" , she heard an unfamiliar voice making her head snapped to him. "Um...who is this" she asked turning to Wu mingyu (Ethan) with a raised brow
"A guide" he replied indifferently
"Ouch that hurts Ethan, I thought I was a friend already" Tyler pretended to look huret but immediately smiled again then faced Yun Qiaolan "hi I'm Tyler, hoping to be a new friend" he said with a warm smile
"Hi I'm Susana and this is..." She said pointing at Mei xuelian "Luna" Mei xuelian said . "Nice to meet you Susana and Luna" .
