Chapter 211 - Chapter 210 - Her Wrath

The aftermath of Ada's Conqueror's Haki was nothing short of catastrophic.

Marineford, once filled with cannon fire, screams, and the clash of steel, had fallen into an eerie silence.

The battlefield itself looked like it had been struck by divine judgment.

Vice Admirals.

Rear Admirals.

Thousands upon thousands of elite Marines.

All collapsed.

Some unconscious.

Some barely clinging to awareness.

Some trembling so violently they couldn't even stand.

Even the men who had fought for decades in the New World, men who had survived Whitebeard, Kaido, Big Mom, Shanks and the horrors of the Grand Line were now lying helpless on the ground.

Because of one woman.

Because of one burst of will.

Because Nyx D. Ada had decided she was done being patient.

And yet not a single pirate had fallen.

Not one.

Her Haki had been perfectly controlled.

It had spared every ally.

Every Whitebeard Pirate.

Every Nyx Pirate.

Every single person she considered under her protection.

That alone terrified Sengoku even more.

Not just overwhelming power but perfect mastery.

That was what made monsters.

That was what made legends.

That was what made emperors.

And above all that was what made Ada dangerous.

Far more dangerous than anyone had realized.

————————

Behind her, the Nyx Pirates stood watching.

Even they, her own crew could not help but react.

Dracule Mihawk rested Yoru against his shoulder, his sharp golden eyes never leaving her.

He gave the faintest smirk. "So…"

His voice was calm. Cold. Observant. "You're finally done holding back."

A pause.

His gaze shifted briefly toward the kneeling Admirals.

Then back to Ada.

"I was beginning to wonder if you planned to let Marineford survive today."

Ada didn't answer. She simply stood there.

Still. Silent.

But that silence itself was the answer.

She had crossed the line. There would be no restraint now.

Bullet let out a sharp laugh. His grin was wide. Wild. Excited.

"HAHAHAHA!"

"Finally!"

He cracked his knuckles. "THIS is what I've been waiting for!"

He pointed at her. "You're finally using your full power!"

His eyes gleamed like a beast set loose. "Now THIS is fun."

He looked toward the battlefield. "And I was starting to think this war was getting boring."

Perona floated dramatically nearby. Arms flailing. Eyes huge.

"WHAT WAS THAT?!" She pointed wildly at the unconscious Vice Admirals. "You knocked out ALL of them?!"

Then she pointed at Aokiji and Kizaru.

"LOOK!"

"Even the Admirals are kneeling!"

Bullet then looked at the kneeling Admirals and laughed louder.

"Look at them! The mighty Navy Admirals kneeling!"

"Pathetic!"

She floated closer to Ada. "Captain, that's cheating! How are the rest of us supposed to look cool after that?!"

She then grabbed her own face dramatically.

"That's super terrifying!"

Then she floated closer and whispered loudly. "And…I love it."

Lilith stood with her arms crossed, smirking like she had been waiting for this moment.

"I told you all. She's absurd."

She pointed toward the Marines. "Even those monsters can't stand properly."

She looked toward Sengoku. "Honestly, this is kind of embarrassing for the Marines."

Then she smirked at Kizaru and Aokiji. "Especially for them."

Tesoro folded his arms, gold shimmering around him.

His expression was calm, but even he looked impressed.

"So this…" he said quietly, "is you going all out."

He looked at the broken battlefield. The shattered plaza. The collapsed Marines.

The fear.

Then back at Ada. "No wonder the world government fears you so much."

Enel, standing nearby, laughed. "HAHAHA! They should fear her! She's terrifying!"

Tesoro sighed. "You are not helping."

Hiyori stood quietly beside Okiku. Her eyes were full of emotion.

"She's really…" she smiled softly, "going all out to protect her family."

Okiku nodded. "As Lady Ada always does."

Pedro crossed his arms. "This is what happens when someone threatens her children."

Carrot's eyes sparkled. "She's so cool!"

Pedro sighed. "She's terrifyingly absurd."

Carrot grinned. "Exactly!"

———————

When the Haki finally faded, Marineford was silent.

No shouting. No cannons. No chaos. Just silence.

Because the battlefield had changed. Almost the entire Marine force, decimated.

Even Sengoku stood there, frozen. For the first time in years the Fleet Admiral had no answer. He looked around.

Vice Admirals unconscious.

Rear Admirals gone.

Thousands of soldiers down.

Two Admirals kneeling.

Akainu barely standing.

And in the center stood Nyx D. Ada.

Sengoku clenched his fists. "What a monster…"

From the pirate side,

Shock. Pure shock.

"That Haki…"

"What monstrous power…"

"She crushed the entire battlefield…"

"Is that really something a human could do?!"

Even veteran New World pirates were shaken.

Because this wasn't normal.

This was legendary.

This was something they would tell stories about for generations.

Far away, Whitebeard stood surrounded by fallen Marines.

The men who had been charging to kill him, now unconscious at his feet.

He slowly turned his head and looked at Ada.

Then he laughed. Deep. Heavy. Powerful.

"GURARARARARA!"

"To think…"His voice echoed across Marineford. "you achieved this kind of power, Ada."

His eyes sharpened. Serious now.

"It's stronger than Rocks."

The nearby pirates froze.

Whitebeard continued.

"Stronger than Roger."

More silence.

Then,

"Even stronger than me."

The Whitebeard Pirates stared. Frozen.

Someone whispered.

"Stronger… than Pops?"

"Stronger than the Pirate King…?"

"No way…"

Marco looked down. Frustrated. But honest.

"…I hate to admit it."

He looked at the battlefield.

"But look around."

"The Vice Admirals are unconscious."

"Even the Admirals are struggling."

Izou clenched his fists.

"…He's right."

"She's on another level."

Vista let out a slow breath.

"No wonder even the World Government fears her."

Luffy and Ace both looked up at Ada.

Luffy's eyes were sparkling like stars. "So cool!! You knocked out ALL those people!"

He pointed dramatically. "Even the Ice and Light guy!"

Ace smacked him lightly. "You mean the Admirals."

Luffy ignored him. "You're amazing!"

Ace laughed. "That's your mom for you."

Luffy puffed his chest proudly. "Yeah!!"

Then looked up again. "So awesome!"

Ada smiled softly. Rare. Warm. And said.

"Both of you…will someday reach this level too."

Ace blinked.

Luffy pointed at himself. "Really?!"

Ada smirked. "Yes."

A pause.

"If you survive long enough."

Luffy laughed. "Shishishishi! I will!"

Ace sighed. "He definitely will."

Jinbe nearby smiled softly. "…Without question."

Ada then stepped forward.

Her voice thundered across the ruined battlefield of Marineford.

"NYX PIRATES!"

Even through the smoke, blood, and shattered stone, everyone turned.

The remaining Marines.

Pirates.

Commanders.

Even the Admirals.

Her presence alone demanded attention.

She stood there with Luffy behind her, Ace at her side, and the full might of her crew surrounding her like a wall the world could not break.

Her crimson eyes swept across the battlefield.

"ALL OF YOU—" Her voice carried like thunder across the sea. "Help the Whitebeard Pirates retreat!"

For a split second, silence. Then instant movement.

No hesitation. No questions. Only obedience.

Because when Nyx D. Ada gave an order, you moved.

Fisher Tiger stepped forward first, his massive frame radiating authority.

He raised his fist.

"Sun Pirates!" His voice boomed. "Protect the retreating Whitebeard Pirates!"

His men roared in response. "YES, BROTHER TIGER!"

Jinbe, standing nearby, nodded firmly. "Leave the rear line to us!"

He looked toward Ace and Luffy. "We'll make sure you two get out alive."

Ace gave him a grateful nod. "…Thank you, Jinbe."

Jinbe smiled. "No thanks needed."

Enel stood atop broken stone, lightning crackling violently around his body.

The sky above Marineford darkened as thunder rolled.

He smirked arrogantly. "Sky Pirates."

His golden staff struck the ground.

"Advance."

A bolt of lightning exploded into the sky.

"Anyone stupid enough to stand in our way…" His grin widened."gets erased."

The remaining Marines watching him swallowed hard.

"That monster…"

"Thunder God Enel…"

"He's serious…"

Enel laughed.

"Of course I am."

Tesoro adjusted his sleeves calmly, as if this were a business meeting and not the collapse of Marineford.

"Protect Whitebeard's Forces!"

Gold spread beneath his feet like flowing sunlight.

His voice was cool. "Make sure no Marine reaches the docks."

He glanced toward Ada.

"…No mistakes."

Behind him, his forces moved immediately.

Precise. Disciplined. Terrifying.

Loki stepped forward next. The ground trembled. No, the entire battlefield shook.

His massive giant frame towered over everyone present.

Even the concious giant Marines looked small compared to him.

He slammed his weapon into the earth.

BOOM.

Cracks spread across the plaza.

"Anyone…" His voice was like an earthquake. "who tries to stop them…"

He smirked down at the Marines.

"…dies."

The giant Marines nearby looked pale.

One whispered shakily, "Prince Loki…"

Another swallowed. "…He really sided with her…"

Loki looked down at them. "As I said, traitors."

The giant Marines stiffened instantly. None dared answer.

Perona floated dramatically above the battlefield, arms crossed.

She pointed like a general commanding an army.

"Everyone!" Her voice echoed. "Be useful!"

Lilith, standing beside her, immediately sighed. "I hate that she's technically right."

Perona gasped dramatically. "Technically?!"

Lilith smirked. "Fine. You're annoying and right."

Perona flipped her hair proudly. "As expected of me."

Then she looked toward Luffy and Ace and shouted. "Don't try and die, idiots! There won't be a next time!"

Luffy grinned and waved. "Okay, ghost girl!"

Perona screamed. "STOP CALLING ME THAT!"

Ace laughed despite everything.

Carrot bounced excitedly beside Pedro. "We're really doing this!"

Pedro folded his arms. "We've been doing this."

Carrot grinned. "No, I mean dramatically."

Pedro sighed. "…Fair."

Okiku quietly placed a hand on her sword.

"For Lady Ada."

Hiyori beside her smiled softly.

"For family."

The Whitebeard Pirates heard Ada's command and for the first time since the war began, hope returned.

"LET'S GO!"

"Hurry!"

"Move!"

"Protect Pops!"

"Ace is free!"

"We can still make it!"

The battlefield shifted instantly.

Retreat had begun.

The Whitebeard Commanders rushed toward Whitebeard.

Marco.

Vista.

Izou.

Jozu.

The commanders surrounded their captain.

"POPS!"

"This is our chance!"

"Let's leave!"

"The Marines are finished!"

"We can still get out!"

"Please!"

But Whitebeard…did not move. He stood there. Massive. Bleeding. Breathing heavily.

Yet still looking like the strongest man in the world. He looked toward the sea.

Toward his sons. Toward the end. Thinking.

Then Ada walked toward him. The battlefield seemed to quiet around them.

Two monsters of the old era.

Two Emperors.

Two legends.

Standing face to face.

Whitebeard looked at her.

Then laughed. Low. Heavy. Warm.

"GURARARARA…"

"I didn't expect…to meet you here of all places."

Ada smiled faintly. "I was about to say the same thing, Newgate."

Whitebeard's eyes shifted toward Luffy.

Toward the straw hat. Toward the boy standing beside Ace.

He smirked. "So…that squirt…is your son, huh?"

Luffy pointed at himself. "Squirt?!"

Ace smirked. "Yeah, sounds about right."

Luffy turned toward him instantly. "You too?!"

Ace shrugged. "You're loud, reckless, always hungry, and half the time you act like a child."

He smirked wider. "Sounds like a squirt to me."

Luffy puffed his cheeks. "I'm gonna punch both of you."

Even Jinbe let out a small laugh.

Perona, watching from nearby, covered her mouth. "He really is a child…"

Luffy pointed at her too. "Ghost girl, not you too!"

Perona immediately shouted back. "STOP CALLING ME GHOST GIRL!"

Even in the middle of Marineford, for just a second it felt strangely normal. Like family.

Ada chuckled softly. Rare. Warm. "Yes."

She looked at Luffy. Then Ace.

Then back at Whitebeard.

"He's mine."

A pause.

"And Ace too."

Whitebeard's smile softened. "…Good."

Then, Sengoku roared. "DO YOU THINK WE'LL JUST LET YOU ESCAPE?!"

His Buddha form shook the battlefield.

Ada turned slowly and smirked. "What exactly…can you do at this point, Sengoku?"

The surviving Marines struggled to rise.

Some Vice Admirals tried. Most failed.

She looked at them all. Coldly.

"Do you really think…you can defeat us with those half-baked forces?"

Sengoku's face twisted.

"DAMMIT!"

"Don't get cocky!"

"I am still here!"

"The three Admirals are still here!"

"Garp is still here!"

His voice thundered.

"We are not finished!"

Then, Akainu stepped forward. Blood on his lip. Rage in his eyes. His magma boiled violently.

"So…" His voice dripped hatred. "You and Dragon. To think both of you had a son."

He looked at Luffy. Then Ace.

"Both him…and his brother are stains on this world." His fist burned brighter. "I'll kill them both myself."

The temperature of the battlefield rose.

Even the pirates could feel it.

The Nyx Pirates stared.

Perona crossed her arms. "How disgusting."

Bullet cracked his neck. "Didn't he hear what Ada said before?"

Mihawk calmly said. "He is either brave…or stupid."

Tesoro adjusted his glasses. "I vote stupid."

Even Whitebeard's commanders glared.

Marco muttered, "That bastard never learns."

Ace's fists trembled.

Luffy looked furious.

Lilith smirked. "Good. Then he'll die by her hand."

Enel laughed. "I vote for death."

Tesoro sighed. "That was implied."

Ada looked at Akainu and for the first time her fury showed fully.

Raw. Cold. Terrifying.

"You know…" Her voice was quiet. "Hearing you say that to my face fills me with so much anger."

She stepped forward.

"Going after the people I love. The people I care about." Her eyes sharpened. "So I suppose…I should repay you…for what you tried to do to my sons."

Akainu roared. "DON'T LOOK DOWN ON ME!"

And lunged forward towards Ada.

"GREAT ERUPTION!"

His fist erupted forward like a volcanic eruption. Burning. Melting. Destroying.

The very air distorted from the heat. The ground beneath him melted into red liquid stone.

Even the nearby Marines stepped back in fear.

That attack was meant to kill. Straight for Ada.

Luffy's eyes widened. "Mom!"

Ace tensed. "Aunt Ada!"

But Ada did not move in panic. She simply looked at him.

Calm. Cold. Furious.

Then, black lightning exploded around her fist.

Crimson-red and black.

Conqueror's Haki.

Coated.

Layered with Armament Haki so dense the air itself screamed.

Even the pirates nearby felt it.

Marco's eyes widened. "No way…"

Vista gritted his teeth. "She's using Conqueror's Coating…"

Jinbe's expression darkened. "She's truly furious…"

Mihawk watched silently. His eyes sharp.

"…She intends to break him."

Bullet grinned like a madman.

"YES."

"That's it!"

"Now THAT is a fight!"

Even Kizaru, still kneeling, slowly lowered his glasses. "…Scary."

Aokiji muttered, "…Akainu's in trouble."

Perona floated backward dramatically.

"WAIT—"She pointed in horror. "She's using THAT too?!"

Lilith smirked.

"Well…I mean…" She looked at Akainu. "He did just announce he was going to kill both Ace and Luffy."

Perona crossed her arms. "Exactly! He gets what he deserves!"

Tesoro adjusted his glasses. "…That man chose the wrong mother to provoke."

Enel laughed loudly. "Gahahahaha! He challenged death itself!"

Loki looked down at Akainu like he was already dead. "…Poor bastard."

Fisher Tiger folded his arms.

"No."

"Not poor."

"Stupid."

Jinbe nodded once. "Very stupid."

——————-

Akainu's magma fist came down.

Ada moved once.

Simple. Clean. Perfect.

She dodged. Like stepping aside from rain.

And—

BOOOOOOM

Her kick slammed upward into his chin.

Not touching yet the black lightning exploded on impact.

Conqueror's coating.

Akainu's entire body lifted off the ground. His jaw cracked. Blood sprayed. His eyes widened.

Too fast. Far too fast.

He staggered backward but before he could recover—

CRACK.

Her fist slammed into his face. Again without even fully touching.

The Haki itself detonated.

His head snapped sideways. Teeth shattered. Blood flew.

The remaining Marines who were able to get back up watched them fight suddenly froze.

Vice Admiral Onigumo whispered. "…He's getting overwhelmed…"

Sengoku clenched his fists. "Damn it!"

Akainu hit the ground. Hard. The plaza shattered beneath him.

Before he could rise she was already there.

On top of him. Like death.

And then—

Punch.

BOOM.

Her right fist came down.

The ground split.

Punch.

BOOM.

Another strike.

Marineford cracked deeper.

Punch.

BOOM.

Another.

Each hit like an earthquake.

No elegance.

No technique.

No mercy.

Just violence.

Pure violence.

Each strike was coated in black lightning.

Conqueror's Haki.

Armament Haki.

The full wrath of an Emperor.

Akainu tried to raise magma.

CRACK.

She punched through it.

He tried to grab her arm.

BOOM.

She shattered his shoulder.

His face already unrecognizable. Bloodied.

Broken. Swollen. His pride. His justice. His body. All crushed.

The pirates watched in stunned silence.

Then—

left arm.

CRACK.

She drove her fist down.

The bone broke.

Akainu screamed.

Right arm.

CRACK.

Another brutal smash.

The Marines looked horrified.

"That's Admiral Akainu…!"

"He's getting destroyed…"

"No…"

"That's not a fight…"

"That's an execution…"

Even Garp looked grim. "…She's not holding back."

Whitebeard, watching from afar, gave a deep laugh.

"GURARARARA!"

"That's the Ada I remember!"

Ace stared wide-eyed. "…She's beating him so bad…"

Luffy blinked. "…Can moms do that?"

Ace sighed. "Only ours."

Finally, Ada grabbed Akainu by the collar. Lifted him slightly.

His body barely responded. Blood poured from his mouth. His eyes were barely open.

She looked him directly in the eye and for the first time, spoke. Quietly. Coldly.

"This…"

She tightened her grip.

"…is for going after Ace."

Akainu coughed blood.

Her fist pulled back.

"This…"

Another pause.

"…is for trying to kill Luffy."

Black lightning exploded again.

The entire battlefield shook.

"And this…"

Her voice dropped lower. The coldest it had been.

"…is for daring to threaten my family."

Then, the final punch. The strongest one.

BOOOOOOOOOOM.

Her fist connected and Akainu disappeared.

(GIF here. Kinda hard to explain how she fought but just imagine this.)

Not flew.

Not blasted away.

He disappeared straight down.

Driven into the earth itself.

A massive crater exploded beneath them.

The plaza shattered. Stone broke apart.

Marineford trembled.

The hole was so deep, they couldn't even see the bottom.

Silence. Complete silence.

Even the sea seemed quiet.

The Marines froze. Terrified.

Because they had just watched an Admiral, their strongest weapon be manhandled. Like nothing. Like he was weak. Like he was prey. Like he never stood a chance.

No one moved. No one spoke.

Because everyone understood the same thing. If she wanted, she could destroy all of Marineford. Right now.

The pirates whistled.

"That was brutal…"

"Damn…"

"She beat him like he owed her money…"

"No—"

"Like he insulted her cooking!"

Perona cheered wildly.

"GO ADA!"

"That's what he gets for messing with us!"

She pointed dramatically at the crater.

"Stay down there!"

Lilith smirked.

"Well deserved."

Tesoro adjusted his glasses. "Armament Haki layered with Conqueror's Haki…"

He exhaled slowly.

"That wasn't a fight."

"That was an execution."

Fisher Tiger crossed his arms. "Well…I definitely wouldn't want to be him."

Loki stared into the crater. "…Yeah. I think that punch sent him halfway to hell."

Enel laughed loudly.

"GAHAHAHAHA!"

"His face isn't even recognizable anymore!"

"That was beautiful!"

Tesoro adjusted his glasses. "…Remind me never to anger her."

Lilith smirked. "Too late for him."

Bullet laughed loudly.

"That was perfect!"

His eyes gleamed. "She didn't even give him a chance to breathe."

Mihawk simply stood silently, arms crossed.

Then after a moment, he said. "He was fortunate."

Everyone looked at him.

Mihawk's eyes remained on the crater. "She ended it quickly."

Even Perona blinked. "…That's your version of mercy?!"

Mihawk said nothing which somehow made it worse.

Ace and Luffy stared. Speechless.

They had just watched their mother destroy an Admiral. With ease.

Luffy blinked. "…Whoa."

Ace nodded slowly. "…Yeah."

Luffy looked up. "…Mom is scary."

Ace sighed. "Very."

Luffy thought for a moment.

Then smiled. "…Cool."

Ace nodded. "…Also true."

Jinbe let out a tired sigh. "…I have never been more relieved to be on someone's good side."

Ada dusted off her hand.

As casually as if she had just finished cleaning dust from a shelf.

Ada dusted off her hand slowly, shaking the blood from her knuckles like it was nothing more than rain.

The battlefield was still silent.

Every Marine.

Every pirate.

Every commander.

Every Admiral.

All of them were staring at the massive crater where Akainu had disappeared.

Smoke rose from it. Magma leaked from the shattered ground below. But there was no movement.

No voice. No sign of Admiral Sakazuki. Only destruction.

Ada looked toward it once, her expression completely calm, and said casually.

"Well."

"He won't be causing trouble anymore."

The pirates immediately broke into loud whistles and cheers.

"THAT was a sight to see!"

"She destroyed him!"

"She beat an Admiral like he was some random pirate!"

Then, she turned and walked toward Whitebeard.

Calm. Certain.

Like the storm had already passed.

Whitebeard stood there surrounded by his sons, blood covering his body, his bisento planted into the broken ground.

Even wounded. Even dying. He still looked like a mountain.

He watched her approach and let out a deep laugh.

"GURARARARARA!"

"Well now…that was quite the show."

He glanced toward the crater where Akainu had vanished.

His grin widened. "I actually wanted to punch that bastard myself."

Then he laughed again. Deep. Heavy. Warm.

"GURARARARARA!"

He looked at Ada with amusement in his eyes.

"But still, I never expected you to be the type to settle down."

His grin widened.

"Of all people…you?"

He pointed at her.

"The woman who used to punch first and ask questions never?"

Another loud laugh.

"Gurarara! To think you'd end up with a husband and a son!"

He shook his head.

"The world really does change."

The pirates nearby laughed nervously.

Even Marco blinked. "…Wait."

He looked at Ada. "Pops just casually said that like it's normal…"

Vista muttered, "To be fair, nothing about this war has been normal."

Luffy blinked. "Wait, Mom used to punch people first?"

Bullet from the back laughed loudly. "Used to?"

Mihawk quietly added. "She still does."

Everyone slowly looked toward the massive crater where Akainu had been punched into the earth.

Smoke still rising. Magma still leaking.

Luffy nodded seriously.

"…Yeah."

"That checks out."

Ace sighed.

"Definitely my aunt."

Ada crossed her arms and gave them all a dangerous smile. "Would anyone like to continue discussing my personality?"

Instant silence.

Bullet looked away.

Mihawk looked at the sky.

Perona floated backward immediately. "Not me!"

Enel suddenly found the clouds very interesting.

Tesoro adjusted his glasses like he had heard absolutely nothing.

Even Loki looked the other direction.

Whitebeard laughed even harder.

"GURARARARARA!"

Then his laughter slowly faded.

His expression softened. He looked at Ada. Really looked at her. Not as an Emperor. Not as a rival. Not as a monster of the sea. But as someone from the same old era.

An old friend.

Someone who had stood in the same storms.

Fought the same legends.

Buried the same ghosts.

"…Still." His voice lowered. Calmer now. "I'm glad."

He glanced once more at Luffy.

At Ace.

At the boys standing there alive.

Safe. Breathing. Still smiling.

"You found something worth fighting for."

Ada was quiet for a moment.

Her eyes moved to Luffy.

Then Ace.

Then back to Whitebeard.

She answered softly. "Yes."

No grand speech. No dramatic declaration. Just one word.

But Whitebeard understood and smiled.

A tired smile.

A real one.

The kind only old men of the sea could understand.

Then her expression softened slightly. Serious now.

She looked Whitebeard in the eye.

"Don't worry." Her voice lowered. Certain.

Absolute. "I'll take it from here."

Whitebeard looked at her for a long moment.

And for the first time, his smile faded. Not from fear. But acceptance.

"As much as I'd like to…" He looked down at his own hands. Blood. Too much blood.

Old scars. New wounds. The hands of a dying king.

"I guess this…"He exhaled. "is it for me."

A pause.

His hand tightened slightly around his bisento."…this is goodbye, old friend."

The words hit harder than any attack.

The commanders froze.

Marco's breathing stopped. "…Pops?"

Whitebeard's voice was calm. Too calm.

"I can feel it." He touched his chest. "My life force…is fading."

Silence.

The words hit harder than any attack.

Marco's eyes widened. "No…"

Vista clenched his teeth. "Oyaji…"

Izou's hands trembled. "Pops…"

Jozu lowered his head.

Everyone knew.

But hearing him say it, made it real.

Marco stepped forward.

His voice cracked. "There has to be a way."

He looked at Ada desperately.

"Please…"

You're Ada."

"You can do something."

"There has to be something!"

His voice broke.

"Please…"

He wasn't First Division Commander Marco anymore.

He was just a son begging not to lose his father.

The other commanders looked the same.

Desperate. Helpless. Terrified.

Ace stood frozen.

His fists shaking.

"Pops…" His voice was barely a whisper. "don't say that."

Whitebeard looked at him and smiled. Proud.

Gentle. The way only a father could.

"Don't make that face, Ace."

Ace bit his lip hard enough to bleed.

Luffy looked down. Silent. Even he understood.

Ada stepped closer. She examined Whitebeard carefully. The wounds. The magma burns. The stab wounds. The internal damage. The illness.

The years. The cost of being Edward Newgate.

She already knew. But she still checked. Because sometimes, you prayed to be wrong.

She closed her eyes. Then opened them and spoke honestly.

"The wounds are too severe."

Silence.

"There's no healing left…"Her voice softened. "that can save him anymore."

No one moved. No one breathed.

And then—

Marco broke. Tears fell. Unstoppable.

"Pops…"

His shoulders shook. Years of strength.

Years of leadership. Years of pride. Gone. Because he was just a son losing his father.

Vista looked away.

Izou covered his face.

Even Jozu's eyes were wet.

The Whitebeard Pirates, the feared monsters of the New World were crying openly.

Because their father was dying and there was nothing they could do.

Ace dropped to one knee. His head lowered. Tears hitting the broken stone.

"…I'm sorry."

Whitebeard frowned. "For what?"

Ace's voice trembled.

"For causing all this."

"For making everyone suffer."

"For making you come here."

"For making you…"

His voice shattered.

"…die."

Whitebeard stared at him.

Then suddenly, laughed. Loud. Powerful.

"GURARARARARA!"

"You idiot!"

Everyone looked.

Whitebeard's eyes were fierce.

"I came here because I wanted to!"

His voice shook the battlefield.

"You are my son!"

"That alone is enough!"

Ace froze.

Whitebeard continued.

"No regrets."

"Not one."

His voice lowered.

"So don't you dare apologize for being alive."

Ace broke completely. He pressed his head to the ground. Crying. Unable to speak.

Whitebeard smiled. Satisfied.

Ada stepped beside Marco and placed a hand on his shoulder.

"Be strong, Marco."

Her voice was gentle. Quiet. But firm.

"Your crew needs you now."

Marco cried but nodded. Because he knew.

Because Pops would demand it.

"…Yes."

Ada looked at all of them.

"At this moment…you stop being sons."

Her gaze sharpened. "You become the men who carry his will."

Silence.

Then, one by one they nodded. Because they understood. Because this was the moment everything changed.

Because Edward Newgate was saying goodbye.
