Chapter 78 - CHAPTER 78— AIDEN VS. Jeremy Jeagar.

CHAPTER 78— AIDEN VS. Jeremy Jeagar.

Aiden's hand began to heal as soft light gathered around it. The broken bones slowly started to move back into place, and the torn flesh began to close. The pain was still there, but it was slowly fading.

Joshua saw this, and his eyes widened in alarm. He immediately shouted,

"Stop her from healing him! If he gets healed, we will be at a disadvantage!"

Kyle, Noah, and Jeremy heard Joshua's shout. Without wasting even a second, all of them and their teams suddenly moved toward Aiden at the same time. Their killing intent became clear. They wanted to end Aiden before he could recover.

But before they could reach him, they were suddenly intercepted.

Aiden's allies moved at the same moment.

Olivia arrived in front of Kyle and slashed toward him with her sword. The blade moved fast and sharply. Kyle reacted instantly and moved to the side, narrowly dodging the attack.

But Olivia suddenly vanished.

In the next moment, she appeared at Kyle's side.

She swung her sword again, aiming directly for his body. But this time, a wooden puppet suddenly appeared in front of him and took the full force of the attack. The puppet cracked but did not break.

Kyle immediately punched toward Olivia's stomach.

But Olivia caught his punch mid-air.

Her grip was strong.

Kyle's eyes widened slightly. Olivia had been training with Aiden and his friends for a long time. Because of that, she had developed real physical strength.

Kyle, on the other hand, was not very strong physically. He was a puppeteer who mostly relied on his puppets, even though he had other mana elements.

Kyle forcefully freed his hand from her grip and jumped backwards to create distance.

At that moment, hundreds of puppets suddenly appeared around him.

Kyle looked at Olivia coldly and said, "I will show you how a puppet master fights."

Suddenly, a large stone puppet moved forward. It was tall and heavy, and it held a sword in its hand. The puppet raised the sword and swung it straight toward Olivia with great force.

But Olivia did not move from her spot to dodge the attack.

The sword missed her completely.

The puppet suddenly fumbled on its feet and crashed to the ground.

Kyle saw this and frowned deeply. He then said, "What did you do just now?"

Olivia looked at him coldly and replied, "Did you forget? I am a parasitic mana cultivator."

Realisation struck Kyle instantly. His eyes widened as he suddenly shouted, "When did you plant the parasite in my body? I didn't give you any opening!"

Then he suddenly remembered something.

He remembered the moment Olivia had caught his punch.

That was the only time she had made physical contact with him.

Kyle's expression changed as he said, "This can't be… how can you inject a parasite into my body in a mere moment?"

Olivia replied calmly, "I have been practising how to inject my parasites faster. It helped a lot."

What Olivia did not say was that she had only managed to inject a thought parasite in that short moment. But that was already enough. It disrupted Kyle's control over his puppets and made their movements unstable.

Kyle took a deep breath and composed himself. He then said, "So my family elders were right. Parasitic mana and Puppeteer Mana counter each other."

He then continued, "It's also the reason why your Azirph family and my Hawthrone family have been at odds with each other for a long time in the past."

Then his voice turned colder as he continued.

"But now your family doesn't even compare to mine. They were traitors and were destroyed."

Olivia did not reply to this provocation.

But anger began to boil inside her chest.

In the next moment, she appeared right in front of Kyle. In her right hand was a fire blade. In her left hand was a fireball.

She swung the fire blade toward his side while launching the fireball in the opposite direction so he could not dodge both attacks.

Suddenly, an earth wall was conjured in front of Kyle.

The attacks landed on the wall, causing cracks to spread across it.

Kyle moved backwards quickly. He was a dual elemental mana cultivator with earth and puppeteer mana affinity.

Olivia attacked again as Kyle dodged once again. Whenever Kyle tried to use his puppets, Olivia would disrupt his thoughts so he couldn't use them well. He had then decided to use earth mana only.

Their battle continued fiercely.

Kyle's two teammates also fought Olivia's teammates.

Alan Ossuary fought Nathan Belial, while Maria Burnell fought Kayla Parnell. Their battles were intense, with spells and weapons clashing nonstop.

At this moment, Henry arrived in front of Noah.

Henry looked at him and said, "I won't let you get to him."

Noah heard this and felt annoyed. He replied coldly, "You commoner, get out of my way. I don't want to deal with you. I have to defeat that other commoner so I can bring him to the righteous path."

Henry did not reply.

A metal axe was conjured in his hand.

He swung it downward toward Noah with full force.

Dust exploded in every direction when the attack landed.

But when the dust settled, Noah was gone.

Henry looked up and saw Noah floating in the air using flight.

Noah was a dual elemental mana cultivator with wind and light affinity.

Henry then pulled his axe backwards.

Then, in an unexpected move, he threw it straight toward Noah in the air.

Noah was completely surprised. He had never fought someone with such brute strength.

He dodged at the last moment as the axe flew past him.

Noah's expression turned serious as he looked at Henry.

A light beam was conjured in his hand and launched straight toward Henry.

It was extremely fast and landed directly on Henry's chest.

But Henry did not move.

Where the attack landed, instead of a wound, a small stone appeared.

The stone spread rapidly and formed a full armour around Henry's body.

Henry then conjured a hammer in his hand and charged toward Noah.

Their battle began in full force.

At the same time, Victoria fought Janice Macabre.

Even though Janice was one of the top students of the Light Department, she was not good at close combat. Both her elements—Puppeteer and Light—were better at long range.

Victoria had already closed the distance.

She did not give Janice any chance to escape or create any distance.

Victoria had a metal sword in her hand, and she slashed it towards Janice with full force.

A puppet blocked the attack, but Victoria did not stop.

She attacked again and again without pause.

Suddenly, a stone flew toward Victoria from the side.

She dodged it, but it gave Janice a moment to try to create distance.

Just as Janice took a step back, a windstorm appeared behind her, completely stopping her.

Victoria had conjured it to stop her from escaping.

She was not going to let Janice escape.

They continued fighting in close quarters, and Victoria slowly gained the upper hand.

Meanwhile, Joshua moved toward Aiden.

But he was stopped by Ashley.

She looked at Joshua and said, "Where are you going? We have to finish our fight first, don't you think?"

Joshua was annoyed."Tch."

A lightning sword appeared in his hand, and they continued their battle.

Christian and Bryan also fought each other, moving back and forth while exchanging attacks.

At this moment, Jeremy and his team arrived in front of Aaron, who was standing in front of Aiden while Angela was healing him.

Suddenly, one of the twins, Isaac Rosier, moved forward and punched toward Aaron.

Aaron raised his hand and blocked it easily.

He did not even flinch.

He had trained with Aiden every day to his limits.

Aiden had taught him many different martial arts—ones he learned on Earth and others he learned from his father and teachers.

Aiden knew Aaron did not have an offensive element, so he focused on training him in martial arts and physical strength.

Now, Aaron had a body that even many noble family geniuses did not have.

Aaron pulled his left fist back and punched Isaac straight in the stomach.

Isaac was sent flying.

Aaron chased after him.

But suddenly, his surroundings began to change.

Isaac had cast an illusion on him.

Aaron was now inside Isaac's domain.

Multiple Isaacs appeared in front of him.

Aaron began attacking every single one to find the real one.

Jeremy and Mason stood in front of Aiden.

At that moment, a tall figure arrived in front of Aiden and Angela.

Hannah Hansley was on his shoulder.

It was Peter Crux, Angela's personal bodyguard, whom the family had sent with her.

He put Hannah down, bowed in front of Angela, and then said, "I am sorry, my lady. I was late because I had to carry her with me."

Hannah heard this as she pouted and said with a hint of anger, "Why are you saying it like I am a burden? I didn't ask you to carry me."

Angela smiled while healing Aiden and replied, "You don't have to say sorry. I told you to carry her."

She then looked at Hannah and said, "Hannah, I told you to learn some fighting Techniques. You have water mana, but you only practice healing mana spells."

Hannah heard this as she replied firmly, "Lady Angela, you already know that I don't like fighting. I want to help people. This is my decision, and I will not change it no matter what."

Angela heard this as she sighed.

Peter then asked, "So what do you want me to do, my lady?"

Angela looked at Jeremy and Mason and said, "Hold one of them back, and please try not to injure them too much."

Peter nodded. "Understood."

He pulled his sword out from its scabbard as he charged toward Jeremy. Wind began to move around the sword as he reached them.

Suddenly, Mason moved in front of him as he blocked him with a fire blade.

The sword and the fire blade collide. The force pushed Mason back.

Peter saw that his attack was blocked and said seriously, "You blocked my attack well. I will fight you seriously."

Mason then cast an illusion.

The surroundings around Peter began to change.

Peter smiled and then said. "So you can cast illusions, too. This will be a good fight."

They then began fighting inside the illusion.

Jeremy stood in front of Aiden.

Aiden's arm was mostly healed now.

Jeremy looked at Aiden and laughed crazily as he said, "I heard that you are really strong. Let's fight to the death!"

Aiden ignored him as he looked at Angela and said, "It's enough."

Angela heard this as she stopped healing.

Aiden stepped forward and stood right in front of Jeremy, looking straight into his eyes
