Blanche's POV
After I left, I rushed directly to the pharmacy at the neighborhood entrance.
I grabbed the morning-after pill, paid quickly, and headed for the exit.
The moment I pushed through the curtain to leave, Zain was right there waiting for me.
If I hadn't stopped short, I would've crashed straight into him.
Frantic and in a hurry, I barely glanced his way before trying to slip past him.
But he smoothly blocked my path, completely unbothered. His voice dropped low, "Come home with me. Grandpa's still waiting for you."
Those words hit me, and I thought, 'Maybe the old me would've cared. Maybe I would've actually gone with him.'
But now I reminded myself, 'I'm finished putting everyone else first.'
The only person who mattered to me now was me—and that wasn't changing.
I raised my chin and gave Zain an icy stare.
"Blissfield Villa isn't my home," I said flatly.
His voice got even quieter, with a dangerous edge. "I don't want to force you, but don't test my patience."
