Blanche's POV
Demetrius called a driver to get me back to the Callum Mansion.
We didn't say a word to each other—the silence stretched between us as the car glided through the streets.
As we crossed Grady Lion Bridge, I glanced toward the other side of the road. Traffic was completely jammed, and crowds swarmed around one spot.
"Looks like there was an accident," I muttered, squinting at the chaos.
Demetrius leaned closer to get a better view. "Damn, that looks bad."
The crowd was so thick that neither of us could make out what was happening at the center.
Suddenly, someone across the road started shouting, "Is there a doctor? Someone's bleeding out! The ambulance is stuck in this mess. If anyone has medical training, please help!"
I turned to Demetrius, worry flooding my chest, silently asking what we should do.
Without missing a beat, Demetrius told the driver to pull over.
Once we stopped, Demetrius looked at me. "Come on, let's see what we can do."
