Blanche's POV
The instant I discovered Carry had vanished, a single thought consumed me—I'd sacrifice everything to ensure my daughter's safety.
Now, seeing Carry unharmed before me, I finally felt my racing heart settle.
I didn't give a damn about the grime covering me. Pressing my cheek against Carry's, my voice trembled as I murmured, "It's alright... you're safe..."
Tears spilled from my eyes as I spoke.
Carry's heart broke seeing me like this. Her small hands reached up, cradling my face, brushing away my tears with gentle fingers.
The sight made my emotions crash over me like a wave.
In that instant, I felt like my daughter had truly returned to me.
Carry kept dabbing at my tears, whispering softly, "Mom, don't cry. Crying makes you look ugly."
I swallowed hard and gave a shaky nod. "Alright, no more tears."
Vincent lingered nearby, watching every second of our reunion.
I could feel Vincent's pain for me radiating from where he stood.
