I took a deep breath.
The forest was now quite, just like the embers that burnt beneath our feet. I looked over at Beatrice, her somewhat dazed facial features told me that she didn't understand most of what I had decided to explain to her.
"We need to find the shrine. " I said.
"It's the next part of my plan."
"I still don't understand where you got that plan from or why do you have a plan in the first freaking place. I mean isn't this a bit odd? This whole thing stared like a day ago and you are already so prepared."
Well that was to be expected, for her it was a day ago, for me it was centuries.
"Well in the time you were away i just got my hands on some information through that system thingy so that's why I am so well prepared."
"And what information exactly did you get?"
"Well.." after saying she didn't care at all , it sure seems like she does care "it's a bit complicated but I found out why this whole thing is happening and how to stop it from happening, and a few other things. "
To be honest I didn't know how to exactly stop it. No one did , because it couldn't be stopped
The merging of the two worlds is an ancient event that cannot be altered.
"I don't believe you at all you know. " Beatrice said , looking at me. Her eyes were glimmering like snow on a sunny day.
I wonder where does one get such a lively spirit.
"At least tell me WHY we need to find some ancient shrine you know? At this point I am starting to think you have gone completely insane ."
After a pause I said" The shrine in this forest, it's old. Older than the city , the forest and maybe even humanity. It's functions as a mirror, reflecting not the lies that are created by the world but only the truth known by the soul. That's why we are here, to find that mirror piece".
"A mirror.." Beatrice said flatly " Great, now we have to look for giant mirror in a forest."
I gave a weak smile at her response.
"Well in simpler words it shows you what you are connected to . For instance we can figure out where you fire powers are coming from. We can accurately figure out what you are."
And of course look at Apollo himself.
Beatrice looked at me, her eyes now shining brightly with excitement.
Truly where does one get such a lively spirit to become happy over a simple thing as this.
"But what if I don't like what I witness? Then what? "
"Well you don't like it. That's it, the worst outcome. You can't change it so no need to worry over it."
"You always say things like you have already experienced them. "
I looked at her for a while before smiling.
What else was there that i could do.
After a while I said, "Let's set up a camp right here shall we? I think we have had enough running around for a day. Atleast I have."
