Chapter 20 - Trapped In A Loveless Engagement

Ryder tried to reach out to Emma, but she refused to answer his calls. He showed up at her doorstep, begging for forgiveness, but she wouldn't see him. He knew he had hurt her deeply, and he didn't blame her for being angry.

As the days turned into weeks, Ryder became increasingly desperate. He knew he had made a mistake by agreeing to marry Sophia, but he felt trapped. You see, Ryder's family business was on the verge of bankruptcy, and Sophia's father had offered a lifeline - a lucrative business deal that would save the company, but only if Ryder married Sophia.

Ryder's parents were counting on him to save the family business, and he felt obligated to follow through with the wedding. He knew it was a loveless marriage, but he felt like he had no other choice. His parents were relying on him, and he couldn't bear the thought of disappointing them.

As the wedding date approached, Ryder's anxiety grew. He knew he couldn't go through with it, but he didn't know how to get out of it. He felt like he was stuck in a nightmare, and he didn't know how to wake up. He thought about Emma and the life they could have had together, but he pushed those thoughts aside. He had made his bed, and now he had to lie in it.

Meanwhile, Emma was trying to move on with her life. She was focusing on her pregnancy and preparing for the arrival of her baby. She had blocked Ryder's number and avoided all places she knew he would be. She was determined to raise her child on her own and move on from the pain of Ryder's betrayal.

But despite her best efforts, Emma couldn't shake off the feeling of heartbreak. She had loved Ryder with all her heart, and she didn't know if she could ever trust him again. She felt like she had been blind to his true nature, and she couldn't believe she had fallen for his lies.

As the months went by, Emma's belly grew bigger, and she became more radiant. She was excited to meet her baby, and she knew that she would be a great mom. She was determined to give her child the best possible life, even if it meant raising them on her own.

Ryder, on the other hand, was stuck in a loveless engagement. He knew he didn't love Sophia, and he couldn't bear the thought of spending the rest of his life with her. But he felt like he had no other choice - the business deal was too important, and his family's future was at stake.

As the wedding day loomed closer, Ryder knew he had to make a decision. Would he go through with the wedding and sacrifice his happiness for the sake of his family's business, or would he fight for the woman he truly loved? He knew it wouldn't be easy, but he couldn't shake the feeling that he was making a huge mistake.

The pressure was mounting, and Ryder felt like he was running out of time. He knew he had to make a choice, and he knew it had to be soon. But what would he choose? His family's business, or his heart?
