The system window beeped
"Congratulations you have bonded with a L ranked beast
Name: [To Be Named]
Species:Chaosborne Embermane
Type: Primordial Guardian Beast
Bloodline Rank: L (Legendary)
Realm of Origin: Originum – The very first realm in existence, a primordial plane where chaos and order coexist in perfect harmony. A realm untouched by time, witnessed by all yet seen by none, where every particle hums with the memory of creation.
Attributes:
Chaotic, majestic aura that exudes ancient wisdom.
Capable of sensing emotions and intentions in the surrounding air.
Extremely intelligent and perceptive; recognizes true character of beings around it.
Despite its power, displays calmness and understanding; does not act destructively without reason.
Notes:
A being from Originum is extraordinarily rare; bonding with one signifies a destiny intertwined with the flow of time itself.
Does not initially possess creation or destruction powers, but its presence subtly influences the environment and spiritual energies.
Compatible only with those whose spiritual essence resonates with its chaotic, timeless nature.
Jin Chi's eyes widened, and a shiver ran down his spine. "Is anything even possible in this world?" he thought, his mind spinning.
The beast tilted its head slightly, as if sensing his unease.
"Why are you so freaked out?" the system chimed in, voice calm but teasing. "You do have a system for God's sake. And remember—your mother created me. Isn't that even weirder?"
Jin Chi blinked, the thought hitting him like a jolt. The absurdity of it all made him want to laugh, but also left him feeling small in the vastness of what he had just witnessed.
The beast's massive form moved with a surprising gentleness. It floated closer to Jin Chi, its presence radiating a calm warmth that seemed to seep into his very bones. Slowly, it swayed its head toward him, a gesture so delicate it almost felt like an invitation to be hugged.
Jin Chi's heart skipped a beat. For a moment, all his fear and disbelief melted away, replaced by a quiet awe. He hesitated, then reached out, letting his hand hover just above the creature's flowing mane of ethereal light.
It responded instantly, leaning closer, its warmth enveloping him like a protective embrace.
"…Maybe this world isn't so impossible after all," Jin Chi whispered, a small smile breaking across his face.
Chi felt an overwhelming urge to run to his parents and share the miracle, to let them see the new life that had just entered their home. But as he glanced toward their room, he hesitated. Their sleep was precious—these past few days had been relentless, and they hadn't had a proper rest since the baby's arrival.
He took a deep breath, lowering his head slightly. "I'll wait… they need it more than I do," he thought, a small smile tugging at his lips as he turned back to the hatchling, letting its warm, chaotic presence fill the room.
Jin Chi woke up, and the system window immediately popped up.
"You know," it said with its usual tone, "you can try feeding him pills… umm, I mean, elixirs."
Jin Chi frowned, looking at the majestic egg before him. "Wait… aren't Beast Bloodline Awakener Elixirs useless for her? What should I even name her?"
""Well… no," the system replied, its tone unusually hesitant. "Those elixirs are normally used to awaken or rank up bloodlines. But she already possesses the bloodline beyond they're meant for. Her species… it's the very first race—the origin of everything. She's existed in that egg since the dawn of time itself. Honestly, I don't even know if these elixirs would have any effect on her. Her kind could've shaped existence itself. Ancient immortals may have understood creation, but even then… the very idea of altering something like her is beyond comprehension. She's… unparalleled."
The system paused, voice suddenly speeding up nervously. "B-but maybe it could work, I guess? I mean, she doesn't fully know her own power yet, so… who knows? Ugh, I wasn't built for this kind of cosmic nonsense!"
Jin Chi's eyes widened. "she is that amazing?"
He carefully took out a vial of Beast Nourishing and bloodline Elixirs meant for her and set aside yu's and gently offered them to the egg. The moment the elixirs touched its surface, faint ripples of warm energy spread outward, bathing the room in a gentle glow.
He tilted his head, thinking. "She's so ancient, yet so calm… she deserves a name that fits her."
After a brief pause, a soft smile spread across his face. "I'll call you… Liora."
The egg pulsed warmly, almost as if acknowledging her new name. Jin Chi felt an inexplicable connection, a silent bond that promised a shared journey ahead.
"Welcome to the world, Liora," he whispered. "We'll grow stronger together."
Both of them, exhausted from the long night, eventually drifted into a short nap.
Not long after, a familiar voice called out from downstairs, "Chi! Wake up!"
Jin Chi blinked his eyes open, the drowsiness quickly replaced by excitement. He glanced at the little creature beside him—Liora—peacefully curled up and glowing faintly.
Without wasting a moment, he hurried downstairs, eager to show his mother.
In the living room, Lianhua was gently rocking the crying baby, her face weary yet warm with love.
"Mom! Look!" Chi said, holding Liora carefully in his arms, his voice brimming with pride.
Lianhua looked up, blinking in surprise when she saw the small, glowing creature resting in Chi's arms.
Her tired eyes widened. "Chi… what is that?"
Haoran, who had just entered the room with a towel around his neck, froze mid-step. His gaze flicked from the softly crying baby in Lianhua's arms to the serene, otherworldly beast purring faintly in Chi's.
"Don't tell me," he said slowly, "that's your beast egg…?"
Chi nodded quickly, grinning. "She hatched last night! Isn't she amazing?"
Liora tilted her head curiously at them, her silvery mane catching the morning light as her eyes shimmered like starlit mist.
Even the baby, little Lian, stopped crying for a brief moment—her tiny eyes staring at the glowing creature in awe.
Haoran rubbed the back of his neck, half impressed and half bewildered. "You're telling me that thing hatched inside our house?"
"Y-Yeah," Chi replied sheepishly. "She didn't break anything… I think."
Lianhua chuckled softly despite her exhaustion, her maternal warmth overtaking the initial shock. "She's beautiful, Chi. Gentle too… I can feel it."
Liora gave a faint, melodic chirp—as if she understood and was pleased by the compliment.
Haoran crouched down beside Chi, studying the beast closely. "This isn't just any spiritual beast… there's something ancient about her aura. Be sure to keep her hidden for now. If word spreads, a havoc could break out... although I am confident we would defeat anyone"
Chi nodded firmly, tightening his hold on Liora. "I understand, Dad. I'll protect her."
Haoran smiled faintly. "Good. Then both of you—Liora and you—protect this family too."
Liora leaned closer into Chi's arms, her faint glow brightening the room with a soft warmth.
The baby gurgled happily, waving her tiny hands toward the light. For a moment, everything felt peaceful—two new lives, side by side, and the family basking in quiet wonder.
Wait… is she a Primordial Beast?" he asked, his voice carrying a mix of awe and disbelief.
"Yeah," Jin Chi replied proudly. "How did you know?"
Haoran chuckled softly, shaking his head. "Hah… Lianhua, look at this. Our son also bonded with a Primordial Beast. Isn't that ironic? Both his parents already have one — and now him too. Guess it really does run in the family."
Lianhua smiled gently, though her eyes shimmered with pride. "Seems like destiny isn't done with our bloodline yet."
Right then, the doorbell rang.
Ding… dong…
Haoran raised an eyebrow. "Who could that be this early?"
Before anyone could answer, Jin Chi had already dashed to the door, still holding Liora in his arms. He swung it open—and there stood Yu, panting slightly, his eyes gleaming with excitement.
"Chi! You won't believe this—my beast egg is cracking" Yu said, almost tripping over his own words...
