Chapter 89 - Chapter 89: Sudden Rise

"Oh oh woo, music!" Owl Man also made two sixes with his hands.

"How about we practice our accents first? Is that pronunciation correct?" Marcus covered his face.

"Where did these comical characters come from..." Cana also gasped at the absurdity of the two.

"How rude!" Guitar Man glared, his killing intent bursting forth.

Just as he was about to say something more, Owl Man next to him lightly patted his shoulder.

Guitar Man took a deep breath, still pointing his six-fingered hand at Ikaruga, "It has nothing to do with you guys. The girl with the sword, come with us! We—"

Ezreal took a step back, lightly patted Ikaruga's shoulder, and said with a smile, "They're looking for you. Maybe to form a band. You sing quite well."

Ikaruga rolled her eyes at him and took two steps forward.

"Who are you?"

"Dark Guild, Skull Gang!" Guitar Man strummed his guitar again, and the harsh sound made the four of them frown slightly.

As soon as the words "Dark Guild" were spoken, Marcus and Cana's expressions immediately changed. What was initially just wariness now turned into killing intent in their eyes.

"Hoo!" Owl Man raised his hand, making a six.

"Udaroo~da~s!" Guitar Man shouted strange vibrato sounds.

"Awful!" Marcus covered his ears.

"Noise." Cana pouted.

"Musical trash!" Ezreal covered his ears.

"An insult to art!" Ikaruga said expressionlessly.

Guitar Man's eyes widened in anger, exuding astonishing killing intent and magical aura. He roared, "Enough!"

"You monkeys who don't appreciate passion, since you don't want to leave, then go to hell!"

"Hoo, eat them!" Guitar Man angrily pointed at the four of them.

"Oh oh woo!" Owl Man howled and immediately pounced towards the four. His mouth grotesquely stretched open, his gaping maw seemingly able to swallow a person whole.

"There's no place for us in hell, but I can send you there." Ezreal smiled.

Before he finished speaking, Guitar Man's arm suddenly spurted bright red blood. The hand he was pointing at the four suddenly fell off at the shoulder. The cuts on his shoulder and arm were smooth as a mirror, and blood gushed out.

His arm fell to the ground, and blood flowed along the grass.

Before Guitar Man could even scream, his other hand and both legs were also severed from his torso.

His torso, now only a head, slowly fell to the ground. His two thighs stood upright for a second before collapsing powerlessly, gushing blood onto the ground.

A Shadow Worgen silently stood behind his mutilated body, raising a claw to lift Guitar Man, who was now just a head and torso.

His entire head was held in the Shadow Worgen's hand. The pain of having his limbs severed made him want to scream, but he could only make muffled sounds.

The Shadow Worgen carried Guitar Man's remains, took a step forward, and crushed the guitar lying on the grass with its foot.

On the other side, Owl Man, who had just started to charge towards the four, was now frozen in place.

Three Shadow Worgen appeared behind him and on both sides.

The Worgen on the left plunged its claw into Owl Man's neck. The huge claw directly pierced his neck, leaving only a small amount of skin connecting his head and body.

Bright red arterial blood surged like a small fountain along the Worgen's claw, then dripped from the claw onto Owl Man's body.

The Shadow Worgen on the right was in its giant wolf form. It was crouched low, chewing on some red and white flesh.

Owl Man's liver, spleen, and half of his chest cavity had been bitten off. A massive amount of blood flowed like an open faucet from the gaping wound in his body. The grass beneath his feet was already soaked with blood.

Owl Man's life force completely vanished. He didn't even have time to cast a spell before he was killed on the spot.

The Shadow Worgen standing behind him did nothing. It merely raised its hand and aimed it at Owl Man's head. Black smoke billowed from its five sharp claws.

There was no doubt that if Owl Man made even one more move, this claw, larger than his head, would completely crush his ridiculous owl head.

Ensuring no possibility of a counterattack.

Ezreal clapped lightly, offering genuine praise to Ikaruga, "What terrifying swordsmanship. So close, and I couldn't even see when you drew your blade."

"The feeling is mutual. Your Worgen abilities are truly different. My breathing was very focused, and if I hadn't sensed subtle changes in the surrounding airflow, even I wouldn't have noticed that your Worgen were already standing next to these two comical characters."

Ikaruga's smile was like a blooming flower. Her stance hadn't changed. In the bright sunlight, the girl in the white kimono was like an elegant plum blossom.

But those four strikes that severed the opponent's limbs had indeed come from her hand.

Fierce and decisive!

Ezreal was certain that when he said the two in the woods were enemies, this sword-wielding girl had already prepared to kill.

Those four sudden strikes were like a venomous snake lurking in the shadows.

Moreover, Ikaruga had seen through his intention to keep one alive for questioning. After he commanded the three Shadow Worgen to kill the clearly stronger Owl Man, those four strikes were delivered almost simultaneously, crippling Guitar Man's combat ability.

Her judgment of the situation, calm response, and the ruthlessness of her actions were astonishing.

"When you're a villain, don't talk so much nonsense. Do you think I really want to hear your self-introduction? If it weren't to ensure no unexpected incidents, who would want to watch you act like monkeys?"

Ezreal stepped forward. The Shadow Worgen thoughtfully loosened its grip slightly, allowing Guitar Man, whose life force was gradually weakening, to hear Ezreal's words.

All of his Summoned Beasts had one characteristic: once summoned, as long as they weren't killed, no extra magic power was needed to sustain their existence.

Before the Shadow Worgen completed their evolution, Ezreal had already adjusted their evolution towards becoming personal bodyguards.

Their ghostly form ability could eliminate vital signs, making them difficult to detect with perception magic.

Dark Walk allowed them to conceal their magical aura and move and hide freely in the shadows.

Combined, these two abilities meant that unless someone was particularly skilled in perception magic, they wouldn't be able to detect the Shadow Worgen lurking in his shadow.

They rode four Shadow Worgen on their return journey, and two other Shadow Worgen remained hidden in his shadow.

Ezreal had already noticed malicious gazes watching the four of them while they were eating, thanks to his keen perception, but he hadn't said anything.

After leaving the town, he released four Worgen into stealth mode to search for the source of the malice.

Only after confirming there were no other accomplices did Ezreal expose Guitar Man and his companion's tracking.

And during the pauses in their conversation, he commanded the four Worgen to approach the two of them in stealth, ensuring a successful surprise attack.

"Should we interrogate them?" Marcus asked, looking at the gruesome state of the two in front of him.
