"Just when I thought I could relax, the Brotherhood gang attacks." Jin stood on top of a building, looking down at the street to see tons of Brotherhood gang members terrorizing the public.
All of them were men who were equipped with the latest gadgets and power kits.
Jin got a call from Yuria, who asked him if he could come and help since there were too many to take care of.
He was a bit groggy, especially after having se—exercising, they were exercising until late last night.
"Okay, time to get to work." Jin jumped off the building.
"Hahaha! Die! Die! This is the Brotherhood's territory now!" A gang member said, shooting energy bullets at civilians.
Around him, there were four other men who were doing all sorts of things. Destroying buildings, robbing stores, and fighting with the police.
Jin landed right in the middle of them, activating an EMP. Normally, this wouldn't work because the gang's suits were able to redirect EMP frequencies, but they managed to bypass that protection, shutting off their suits and weapons.
Acting quickly, he knocked out all of the gang members and tied them up for the police.
"Hey, it's Jin!"
"Nice to see you, Jin." Two officers went to greet him.
"Sup. Yuria called."
"Well, she made a good call. We'll take it from here."
The other officer nodded. "There's another disturbance a few blocks from here. You think you can help them?"
"I'm on it. See you two later." Jin took off.
"He's so hot."
"Tell me about it. Now, let's get these clowns to the station.

Jin arrived at the scene where the officers told him to go, and found it completely taken care of. But it wasn't by the police. The gang was taken care of by—"
"Angela?"
"Sup."
Jin furrowed his brows. "What are you doing here? Did you follow me?"
"Sure did. I was wondering what you were going to do since you left me in bed this morning without even giving me a kiss."
He rolled his eyes and started flying. Angela followed him by walking in the air as she was able to freeze the air molecules.
"Where to next?" She asked
Jin pulled out a holomap. "You see all the red spots? Those are the places where the Brotherhood is currently attacking."
"Oooo, I know where these places are! Wanna see who can beat up the most gang members?"
"No. You do know that people could get hurt, right?"
Angela gave Jin a weird look. "You, caring about people? That's a new side of you."
"I was asked to help, so I'm helping. Letting people die would be counterproductive."
"I guess that's fair. Anyway, the one with the most kills buys lunch!" Angela took off.
Jin was stunned. "Kills? You're not gonna kill them, are you? Hey! Angela! You're not gonna kill them, are you?!"
For the next hour, the police, off-duty vanguards, guardians, Jin, and Angela went around Aurora City taking out Brotherhood gang members. The process wasn't difficult one bit, but it was tedious because more and more would pop up.
Some people even had a difficult time dealing with the advanced technology the Brotherhood was using, but eventually, with help or by brute strength, the Brotherhood was taken down.
Jin met Angela at a van that was meant to take the gang members to jail so they could be locked up.
"How many did you get?" She asked eagerly.
"194," Jin answered.
"Ha! 206! I win! Lunch is on you today, princess."
"Ugh, please stop calling me that."
"Nope! That's your permanent nickname."
Jin chuckled, but then started thinking about what had gone on today.
"What's wrong?" Angela saw Jin start thinking, and she knew him well enough to understand when he thought something was wrong.
"The Brotherhood attacking literally makes no sense. If anything, it only means that they are truly connected to the Sons of Adam. I know that their organization is public now, at least it's known publicly, but this feels like retaliation. Like, since they don't need to hide anymore, they can just do what they want."
"Or, it could be a distraction," Angela suggested.
"A distraction from what?"
"I don't know. I'm just throwing things out to jog you min—Ooooooooooof!"
A beam of light blasted Angela in the chest, knocking her through multiple buildings.
Jin instantly re-equipped his power kit, and his sensors started going off.
"A portal?" Turning around, Jin saw a familiar portal open in front of him, no, not just in front of him, but all around the city.
"Remember me?" The portal woman stepped out with multiple women surrounding her.
"Who are you again?" Jin asked
"W-What? I was the one who—" Her speech was cut off by a blade that nearly cut off her head. The only reason she didn't die was that one of the women around her managed to grab Jin before his blade connected and slammed him into the ground.
He got back up without even being injured.
"Damn. Almost had you." He cursed
"Fucking bastard. I don't know why the Speaker wants you, but whatever. Girls, do your thing. I have another mission to take care of." The woman portaled away, and the others attacked Jin.
"You cut off my hands!" The invisible claw woman yelled.
"I'll cut off your head this time." Jin charged forward, but a lightning bolt stopped him from going forward.
"I'll fucking fry you alive!" The lightning woman was extremely pissed off at Jin since he stomped on her head, nearly crushing her brain. Thankfully, their people had good healers.
"You can try. Besides, I'm not alone." Two trails of ice whisped past Jin, freezing the two women in place.
He took that opportunity to cut off the invisible woman's head before she could do anything.
Angela lept into the air and shouted Jin's name. "Jin!"
He knew what she wanted and used his mana to throw her toward the lightning woman, ripping out her heart.
"Who's fucking next?"
The rest of the women there attacked Angela.
"Angela, hold them off for a minute. I'm going to track where the portal woman went."
"Easy peasy!"
Jin scanned for portal activity and saw that many places were being attacked by the sons of Adam, well, the women who were a part of that cult.
It didn't make any sense to Jin. "Why would they attack out in the open like this? It's so...dumb!"
Just then, he got a reading on portal activity and saw that the closest opening was in space.
"What is going on? Computer, pull up a live feed."
[Pulling up feed....Upscaling video to 25K quality.]
In the video, Jin saw a spaceship exit the portal and make its way to the Aegis Corps Space Station.
"Are they stupid? They plan on infiltrating one of the most secure facilities the Aegis Corps has? Not even Mrs Horton can infiltrate it easily."
Jin continued watching, dodging attacks that came his way, and suddenly came to a realization upon seeing the spaceship not slowing down.
"Computer, scan for lifeforms on that ship!"
[Scanning...No lifeforms detected.]
"Fuck! Scan for any weapons on the ship!"
[Scanning...Multiple antimatter bombs are located on the ship.]
"Antimatter bombs? That's not enough to penetrate the shields of the space station...unless...Computer, scan the ship's energy source!"
[Scanning...neutron star core engine.]
"What the fuck? The space station is powered by the same energy source! They're trying to create a kilonova explosion? That shit can wipe out the solar system!"
"Angela, I'll be back!" Jin took off
"Don't take too long. I might be finished when you come back!"
Jin quickly flew toward the institute, breaking the sound barrier instantly. He arrived in a matter of seconds and quickly flew toward Mrs Horton's office, not even caring to knock.
"Jin? Don't barge into my office like that! It's extremely—"
"The Sons of Adam are going to blow up the space station!" Jin pulled up the footage on his computer, giving them the specs of the ship.
Without even asking any questions, Mrs Horton slammed a red button on her desk, then took off.
Jin watched from his screen and saw that Mrs Horton was already in space. Tons of ships started exiting the space station for an evacuation. They couldn't shoot at the enemy ship to avoid it blowing up, and prioritized safety.
Unfortunately for a lot of people, they became trapped in a massive force field that the sons of Adam's ship created, trapping the space station with it as well, and then it blew up, and Mrs Horton was caught up in the blast.
The explosion was so bright that it looked like there was a second sun in the sky. The space station also exploded, combining with the initial explosion, which made the destruction more catastrophic.
Even from the institute, Jin had to cover his eyes because of how bright the sky was, and his space footage shifted to static as the satellites he hacked into were destroyed.
"Holy fuck! This is what they wanted to do. They're trying to make a statement!"
[An unknown object is heading toward Olympus at high speeds.]
"Where? Tell me its location!" Jin took off.
[Unable to track. Satellite tracking is inoperational.]
"Fuck!" Jin extended his senses outward, but covering all of Olympus and its airspace was too much for him at the moment."
"Hey, Jin?" Angela called him.
"Angela? Are you okay?"
"Yeah, but there's something in the sky, and it looks too big to be a raindrop."
"Quickly! What does it look like?"
"Uhh, a ball with hexagonal shapes on it. Like a soccer ball."
"FUCK! THAT'S A NOVA BOMB!" Jin flew as fast as he could to reach Angela.
When he saw her, he instantly pulled her toward him with his magic, not even caring if people saw him, and right as she was pulled into his arms, the nova bomb landed on the surface, creating an explosion so massive that it split Olympus in half.
