Chapter 297: The Punishment of the Donquixote Family: The Way of Survival for Men (3)
"Her name is almost exactly the same as the female executive of the Four Emperors' Dawn Pirates—'Magic Spear.' When I saw her swift and piercing spear skills, I even mistook her for the real 'Magic Spear'!" Gaz's excited voice echoed over the bullfighting arena:
"I've been commentating for years in the bullfighting arena, but I've never seen such a powerful woman! Such a beautiful woman! She is the final winner of this competition—no one else but her!"
"Mr. Gaz, please do not add your personal feelings! The live commentary should remain neutral," a beautiful female announcer, dressed in a bold and revealing outfit, quickly stopped Gaz.
The arena's big screen showed Scáthach , her face covered, but her Akame captivated everyone who saw her. Her alluring figure made the audience fall into a trance, and her exceptional spear skills made the crowd cheer loudly.
All the spectators in the stands were cheering for the winner in the arena:
"Well done!"
"Too amazing!"
The blood splattering on the arena excited the crowd, and the defeated one's tragic state only made the cheers grow louder.
Eric leaned against the contestant exit and smiled at Scáthach walking toward him. He asked, "What are your thoughts?"
"This arena completely exposes the true nature of humans. The dissatisfaction, anxiety, and anger that are usually suppressed, and the sadistic tendencies buried deep inside the hearts of people, are all fully revealed by the audience in the stands."
"Dissatisfaction?"
"The arena shouldn't be like this…"
"It seems that the bullfighting arena only became so bloody after Doflamingo became the king. At least a few years ago, it wasn't like this."
"Hey, Eric of District D, it's your turn now," a staff member shouted while holding a list.
"Then I'll go have some fun too..."
...
"Hmm?" Hearing the name Scáthach , Diamante, who was sitting in the bullfighting arena, narrowed his eyes.
Ever since Eric repeatedly raided his auction house, Doflamingo had developed a deep hatred for the Dawn Pirates. Using his own underground information network, he had gathered a lot of information about the members of the Dawn Pirates.
One of their main combatants, "Magic Spear" Scáthach , was no joke. The information he had gotten from the naval spy (Vergo) indicated that Scáthach possessed Conqueror's Haki, just like the young master.
Leaning forward, through the arena's window, Diamante carefully observed the woman named "Scáthach ." The eyes, the figure, the magic spear—this was her!!
Diamante almost popped his eyes out, and the woman in the arena seemed to sense it, glancing in his direction.
"That look, it's unmistakable... she's Magic Spear Scáthach , the Dawn Pirates have arrived!" Diamante quickly took out a Den Den Mushi and dialed:
"What did you say?" Doflamingo picked up the receiver, his face twitching with visible veins. "These death bringers, what are they here for now?!"
The team tasked with punishing the Donquixote family was split into two groups. One team, led by Kyros , was heading to the King's Plateau to take down Doflamingo. The other, led by Leo, was heading to Toy House to rescue the humans turned into toys and the small people working as slaves.
A plump man, wearing a pink baby hat and sucking on a pacifier, stood in front of Toy House, surrounded by bikini-clad women.
"What's with this pervert?" Kureike spat out a puff of smoke.
Leo introduced: "Kureikando, he's Senior Pico from the Cube Fighting Corps, a star contestant in the arena."
The man blocking the door, Senior, walked toward them, his fat swaying as he moved.
Senior, still sucking on his pacifier, said, "This is Toy House. Humans are prohibited from entering."
"Hah? I'm going in to take a look!" Perona, in her spirit form, floated over the Donquixote family's executives, preparing to sneak in and investigate.
"I can't let you pass through here!" Senior jumped high and threw a punch at Perona.
"Yaaah!" Perona screamed loudly.
"Boom!" Kureike intercepted Senior's punch in mid-air with his chest and grabbed Senior's fist with his powerful right hand.
"Your opponent is me."
"Hey, Uncle Kureike, I'm a spirit and can't be hit by him, why are you blocking with your body?!"
"After hearing your scream, my body just moved by itself—" Kureike blew a smoke ring, and it floated toward the front, hitting Senior's face.
The familiar smell of smoke reached Senior, who calmly said, "If you care about their bodies, you should smoke less."
"Really? Seems I should smoke less." Kureike nodded and punched Senior in the face with his free left fist. Senior didn't dodge and was sent flying by Kureike's punch, crashing through the wall behind him.
Senior dusted himself off and got back on his feet.
Kureike frowned and asked, "What's the meaning of wearing this outfit?"
"The way men survive is diverse. I suck on a pacifier, and with this bib—" Senior pointed to his chest with his thumb, "This appearance is my way of survival!"
"Ahhh!" Several women around them collapsed to the ground, swooning and praising Senior's tough-guy attitude.
[Noland, this is a duel between the two of us, the Golden Country may or may not be here, but I'm staking the rest of my life on this!]
[This is a duel with the man who messed up my life!]
Past words echoed in Kureike's mind. Hadn't he once stayed on Gaya Island, bearing the misunderstandings of his subordinates, fishing for gold alone? The corner of his mouth curled into a grin as he showed his white teeth. He acknowledged the survival method of the man in front of him.
The expression in his eyes suddenly changed, now showing a serious look of recognition toward his opponent.
"Our captain once said, fists speak in battle, so let's use our fists to tell our stories!"
Feeling Kureike's recognition, Senior's eyes behind the sunglasses became moist, remembering his wife.
Kureike raised his fists and adopted a fighting stance: "I'll take care of this guy."
"Eh?" Perona asked anxiously, "Are you sure? He's a member of the Donquixote family!"
"I'm still a member of the Four Emperors Pirates. I won't lose, little girl."
Perona protested, "Hey, don't call me little girl! I'm still coming to help..."
"This—"
Kureike and Senior both shouted: "But this is a duel between men!"
"Tch, I really don't get you men!" Perona gave up and floated while shouting, "Chestnut-head uncle, you better not lose to him!"
"Of course!"
Senior, realizing he couldn't block all the enemies, suddenly spoke: "If possible, please spare my subordinates."
Kureike also said: "I hope to have a fair fight with him."
"Got it!"
As the group easily knocked out the Donquixote family members and stormed into Toy House, only two men remained in the street, facing off, while a few female cheerleaders watched from the sidelines.
"Will you be punished for letting the enemy enter Toy House?"
"The guardians of Toy House are not just me, you can't defeat the Donquixote family."
"Not necessarily."
Kureike took the cigarette from his mouth and flicked it with his middle finger. The glowing ember spun in the air, drawing faint white smoke rings before landing on the ground.
Kureike and Senior rushed toward each other.
Meanwhile, Eric , in the bullfighting arena, was deep in thought, sitting with two unwise warriors trying to attack him. In the blink of an eye, they were knocked down and became his seat.
'How can I make myself appear more impressive?'
The live announcer, Gaz, screamed, "There's actually a thinker in the arena! This is so surprising! In such a bloody arena, there's actually such a peaceful spot! How did he do it?!"
"Damn, how did he defeat Torsin?"
"In the blink of an eye… what kind of ability does he have?!"
The surrounding gladiators, a few meters away, were stunned by what had just happened and dared not approach, even though the enemy in front of them was shorter in stature.
"Move!" The man who was just pushed aside in the preparation room punched a few others away, "I couldn't move in the prep room, but now in the arena, I'm going to hammer you into a pulp!"
A massive hammer came crashing toward Eric .
