The hot spring was supposed to be peace. Warm water, steam curling into the night air, muscles finally unclenching after two weeks of being punched by ogres with commitment issues.
That was the plan.
Reality, unfortunately, involved Kael and Zeref existing within a ten-meter radius of me.
I sank into the water with a content sigh, letting the heat soak into my shoulders. Luna sat gracefully across from me, her hair tied up, expression calm and angelic as always. Keiji leaned beside her, arms folded, eyes half-lidded in rare relaxation.
And then there were them.
Kael stretched dramatically beside me, one arm casually draped over the edge of the spring, like he was posing for a romance novel cover. "You look relaxed, Eunji. Finally appreciating the company of a refined elf."
Zeref scoffed from the other side, water rippling as he leaned closer. "Refined? You nearly stabbed a merchant over overpriced jerky. Eunji, sit here. The view's better."
