Cherreads

Chapter 6 - CHAPTER 6

I was discharged from the hospital, luckily I didn't stayed there for days.

When I got home, I saw the blue satin flowers again, It was placed in the middle of the table.

I was really curious if who really gave it to me.

I step closer to my desk and sat on my chair, I smell the flowers, and then I realized it has no scent at all.

Poor thing

I saw the note again, It was a paper filled with butterflies design. I couldn't help but smile.

It has staple that combines the letter and the note from who is it from.

Joyce.

"Joyce?" I said loudly, I was shock when my mom came inside, I quickly hid the flower to my drawer.

"Hey leil, How are you?" she said looking at me

I was lucky when she didn't notice how fast I put the flower inside my drawer.

I smile and didn't talk, I'm not in the mood to talk that time and the fact that im really in the climax of reading the note.

She went out of the room and shut it close. I can hear her footsteps as she walks down.

I slowly opened my drawer and grab the flower.

"I won't make you go this time hon" I said looking at it and grabbing the note again.

Who the hell is joyce?

I opened the letter instead and read it through my mind.

Dear Leil,

You may not recognize me because I used my second name as name for it. But I want you to know, I liked you since the first time we met. I know you're not ready for such a relationship, but I want you to know that I'm willing to wait, till the day you're ready.

Lovingly Z.

"Z?" I said to myself, wait could it be Zia?

I put the flowers in a vase where I can see it everyday, This flower was really nice and to be honest this was so romantic for me as a masculine.

I slowly go to my bed, hugging my cute stuffed toy—Sunny.

You know what she really made me think this far, I couldn't help but to wonder.

Does this woman deserve me?

Is she really sincere?

Is she willing to sacrifice everything?

I didn't notice that I fall asleep thinking of those things. I opened my eyes and looked at my ceiling for a while, there's something missing.

I sat up and decided to prepare for school, I don't want to see Zia for a while, I just don't feel like its right to show her that she has a chance on me.

My mom didn't call me and that's a real mystery for this morning. I quickly got down and saw them in the kitchen—they're preparing breakfast.

"Oh hey Leil," my dad greet me.

"Mom, why you didn't wake me up," I said pouting

"Of course I know you are already awake," She said with a smile.

They laugh at me for being too overacting, and to be honest, I'm really annoyed that time but I couldn't help but laugh that time.

My dad serve another pancake, with a face.

I smiled on my plate and quickly turn to my dad's face.

"Thank you pa," I said showing a faint smile, my father do the same.

I quickly finish my food and decided to go.

"I need to go ma, pa," I said and quickly got to the door and turned to leave.

Ezekiel and I didn't ride his father's tricycle.

"How are you couz?" Ezekiel asks, and for the first time, there's something that comes out from his mouth that really not about teasing me.

I touched his neck and even his forehead.

"Are you having a fever?" I ask him, looking at him teasingly.

His eyes began to shine, looks like there's something that will fall out of it—tears.

"Hey, why are you crying?" I asked looking at him with confusion, and that's when he burst out crying like a child—like a freaking baby.

Everyone turns to us, looking like he's being too loud right in the bus, he spoke and to be honest that's the very first time I took care of him.

"I thought that's the last time I'll tease you" He said wiping his tears and even planning to put his snot right into my blouse.

Is he really think I will die because of being stuck right in the dark?

I looked at him with embarrassment, I can really feel the eyes of every people around us. But well, He's my sweetest crybaby cousin so I guess he's sincere.

We arrived at school, and I couldn't help but laugh at Ezekiel's runny nose.

"HAHAHHAAHHAHA, you are just like a little crybaby," I said and started walking.

I saw Zia and decided to go on the other way, just to avoid her—not because I don't like her, but that's the case.

I walk through the other hallway but I didn't even think that both hallway are just connected.

The engineer was not good at building, for real.

And that's when I saw her again—Zia.

She showed a faint smile that really made my heart skips a beat. Her eyes met mine and I have nothing else to do but to avoid it.

She walks passed by me, and I didn't release any single word. I don't want to communicate with her, I want to avoid her.

But as I walk continuesly, Someone calls me from behind...
