A bride sat in front of the medium-sized mirror adjusting her make-up, her expressions extremely vibrant and filled with enthusiasm, the reason being obvious by her white wedding gown that perfectly complemented her.
She couldn't hide her enthusiasm slipping from her expressions as she placed down the brush partially satisfied with her makeup.
I am getting married. Her thoughts betrayed her façade of calmness as they kept bouncing in her mind.
She stood up from the chair and turned around adjusting her dress, stepping towards the door.
The door was open, she kept on moving while focusing on her dress, then suddenly something out-of-ordinary happened.
The door slowly started to move, closing by itself as no one appeared to be around there except her.
Her attention still fixed on that dress oblivious to her surroundings especially that anomalous door, that door closed without making an obvious sound.
The bride's head bumped to the door as she stepped back to take a moment to understand what just had happened.
But, instead of clearing up her clouds of thoughts, the darkness in front of her eyes strengthened creating an oppression in her mind, her breathing fastens, and her consciousness is finally lost into the pool of darkness as her body falls down onto the floor.
The gate opened after some moments revealing a lady, whose face paled upon seeing the bride lying down on the floor, she hastily reached for the bride and tapped her cheek slightly,
"Ma'am..... ,ma'am"
The bride remained unconscious, the lady held her chin and shook it with more force than before.
"Ma'am, ma'am" Realizing that the bride couldn't hear her, she laid her head on the ground and moved towards the door leaving it open, rushing out for help.
A little later, the bride moved her fingers as her brain resumed functioning,
She got up slowly rubbing her temples, scanning the surroundings as she took a moment to process where she was.
She tried to remember why was she here, but no matter what her latest memory was,
Her closing the door slowly as she has stepped inside her room.
She was in the middle of her thoughts, when the gate burst open revealing one more bride, she was just as messy as the one standing before her,
As she turned around banging the door close behind her, her eyes widened upon seeing who was standing in front of her,
"Yueyue" The bride, who entered the dressing room said with shock,
"Wanwan" Yue liang looked at her, perplexed by her actions,
Wan ting came closer to her as she checked her face and turned her around,
"Are you alright?" She anxiously asked,
"Yes, I am, what's going on here?" Yueyue asked, puzzled.
"I don't know, I was at my home and then something happened and when I woke up, I was here" Wanwan replied in a rush.
"Same with me, I was at my home and then all of a sudden my head started to ache and when I opened my eyes, I was here" Yueyue listed her weird exercise.
"Where is this?" Yueyue asked to wanwan,
"I don't know but there are wedding posters outside of you with a man" wanwan said,
At this moment both of them looked at their dresses,
White wedding gown,
And the moment their eyes met, they knew that,
It was the day of their marriage,
"Oh god" , wanwan freaked out at this horrific realization.
Meanwhile, yueyue held her head,
"Must be a dream" Yueyue said, and opened the door,
And just some steps away from the door was the same lady, who went for the doctor, along with the doctor and a middle aged lady; all coming towards the door. Yueyue slammed the door at the speed of flash, and stepped back.
Wanawan asked,
"Who was it?"
"Aunt lin, the one who was there at my birthday" Yue yue replied as she was now confirmed that this was not a dream.
"Makeup artist?, aunt lin" wanwan understood what that meant,
They both were indeed getting married at the same day without their knowledge.
"So what now, have we lost our memories or have we time - travelled into the future?" Wanwan said in a unserious manner, yueyue looked at her with disgust,
"Only an idiot will believe in things like that, memory loss sounds more reasonable" she said,
"So, we both lost our memories at the same time?" Wan wan questioned reasonably,
The door was now knocked, as the lady outside called out once again,
"Ma'am," They both stared at the gate and then at each other, none knew what to do.
Exhaling her breath, Yueyue went for the door and opened it, all the three stepped inside scanning the condition of the brides. The doctor placed the medical kit on the dressing table, while the middle aged lady, Aunt Lin organised their gown,
"What happened to you two?" Aunt lin asked while tidying wanwan's gown.
"Nothing, I just felt weak and then..." Yueyue hesitated to speak further as she had no excuse to make, which would sound reasonable at this point, she looked at wanwan for help but was interrupted,
"she was lying unconscious when i came here." The lady said,
"It was due to weakness, drink more water and stay hydrated" The doctor diagnosed and said while placing his stethoscope down in the medical kit.
The doctor placed some vitamins on the table and said,
"Eat this and you'll be fine in no time."
The doctor and the lady left, leaving Aunt lin who handed them a glass of water and the vitamins. She reassured them and watched they both swallowed the vitamins. After that, she patted their backs and left. Wanwan spoke as soon as the door closed,
"So, are we really going to marry?"
Yueyue looked at wanwan, face full of anxiousness as if this was a prank then it wasn't funny at all. She knew how this decision would change their lives,
"Yes, we are" She said with confidence.
