Chapter 23 - ch 23 The twin storms

The sky cracked open as thunder roared.

Rain poured like shards of glass, splashing across broken helmets and twisted metal.

The battlefield was soaked in blood, water, and determination.

Zenro wiped blood from his lips. Yash stood beside him, his jacket torn, eyes blazing.

Across from them stood their two enemies—Shaban, wild and furious, and Avakun, the cold and merciless leader of the Anacondas.

Two storms were about to collide.

---

"Zenro," Yash said through the thunder, "that Shaban is yours."

Zenro nodded, cracking his neck. "Then Avakun's is for you."

Without another word, they split.

The moment their feet hit the puddles, the ground echoed like cannon fire.

The fights began.

---

Yash vs Avakun

Avakun towered over Yash—broad chest, thick legs, and arms like stone pillars.

Each breath he took released steam from his nose. His green jacket clung to his body from the rain.

He cracked his knuckles, grinning.

"So… you're the one who humiliated my gang, huh?"

Yash's fists tightened. "You mean your weaklings?"

Avakun's grin vanished.

"Then let's see if you can call me weak too."

He moved first.

The pavement shattered beneath his foot as he launched forward—faster than Yash expected.

His massive hand grabbed Yash's wrist mid-punch, twisting it painfully.

Yash gritted his teeth. Before Avakun could counter, Yash jumped, trying to land a kick on Avakun's face.

But Avakun tilted his head slightly. The kick sliced through rain but missed.

Then—BOOM!

Avakun's counter came instantly—a punch straight into Yash's abdomen.

The impact sounded like a thunderclap.

Yash gasped for air, his body bent forward.

Before he could recover, Avakun followed with a roundhouse kick that smashed across Yash's face, sending him tumbling into a broken car.

Blood splattered on the windshield.

Yash slid down, coughing, one hand clutching his stomach.

"Not bad," Avakun said, walking closer. "You're tougher than the last dozen I broke."

But Yash spat blood, grinning through the pain.

"Guess what… I'm not done."

He surged forward, throwing a powerful uppercut aimed at Avakun's chin.

Avakun leaned back just enough—the punch missed by an inch.

Then Avakun countered, thrusting his palm directly into Yash's gut.

The force sent Yash flying backward again.

He hit the ground hard, water splashing around him.

As Yash lay there, groaning, he realized something.

> "His stance… wide feet, open palms, body low... This isn't street fighting…"

It clicked in his mind.

> "This is Sumo. That's why he's overpowering me."

Avakun cracked his neck, smiling.

"Realized it, huh? You can't beat a wall with bare fists."

Yash smirked despite the pain. "Then I'll break through it."

Avakun snorted. "Big words from a boy drowning in mud."

Both got ready again. The next clash would decide who fell first.

---

Zenro vs Shaban

Meanwhile, not far away, Zenro and Shaban circled each other in the storm.

Zenro's fists dripped red because of shaban bite. Shaban's eyes glowed with madness. The rain made their breaths visible, each exhale a mist of fury.

Zenro dashed first, throwing a barrage of punches—fast, precise, machine-like.

His fists sliced through the rain, aiming for Shaban's face, ribs, neck.

But Shaban—dodged. Every punch. Every strike.

His movements were unnaturally sharp.

Zenro threw another punch, this one faster—

But Shaban deflected it with his wrist.

The deflection was so strong, Zenro's own fist slammed into his face.

Blood burst from his nose. Zenro stumbled.

Shaban smirked. "You hit hard, but your brain's slower than your fists."

Before Zenro could recover, Shaban stepped in, spinning low, and kicked Zenro's leg.

Zenro lost balance, falling to one knee.

Then Shaban's shadow loomed over him.

He raised his fist high.

"This ends now!"

He swung down with a crushing blow—

But Zenro caught his fist.

Their eyes locked. The rain froze between them.

"Not… yet," Zenro growled.

Using every ounce of his strength, Zenro twisted Shaban's arm, lifted his leg, and slammed his knee into Shaban's shoulder.

Shaban grunted in pain, his arm numbed. He dropped to one knee.

Zenro stood up tall, fury burning in his eyes.

He grabbed Shaban's head—and kneed him directly in the face.

CRACK!

Two of Shaban's teeth flew out.

Zenro didn't stop. He followed up with a clean punch, straight across Shaban's jaw.

The impact echoed through the lot.

Shaban's body spun, crashing into the ground.

Zenro breathed heavily, standing over him.

"It's over…"

But the rain hid something.

A small grin… spreading across Shaban's bloodied lips.

Zenro's eyes widened.

"No way…"

Suddenly—WHAM!

Shaban's leg snapped up like a whip, kicking Zenro in the mouth.

Zenro stumbled back, spitting blood and broken teeth into the rain.

Shaban slowly stood up again, wiping his mouth, his grin wild.

"Equal now," he said, his voice hoarse. "You broke mine, I broke yours."

Zenro growled, wiping blood from his chin.

"Fine then. Let's finish this properly."

Both lowered into fighting stances.

The thunder boomed once more.

And they rushed at each other again—two demons born from the same storm.

Dual Clashes

Yash vs Avakun

Zenro vs Shaban

The screen of rain and lightning divided two wars happening side by side.

Yash charged again, ducking low this time, using Avakun's own sumo stance against him.

He slid between his legs, spun, and punched Avakun's knee.

Avakun stumbled but regained balance, slamming his elbow backward.

Yash dodged by inches, countering with a headbutt right to Avakun's chest.

The air exploded between them.

Avakun grinned. "Good. You're learning."

Then he grabbed Yash's shirt and lifted him like a rag doll, slamming him into a puddle.

Water splashed high. Yash's vision blurred.

"You can't beat strength with rage," Avakun said, stepping closer.

But Yash slowly rose again, blood dripping from his lip.

"You're wrong…"

He clenched his fist so tight his knuckles turned Red

"Rage is my strength!"

He sprinted forward, dodging Avakun's grab, jumped—and landed a powerful spinning kick across Avakun's temple.

Avakun's head snapped sideways, a spray of blood following.

But even then, he didn't fall.

He smiled.

"Not bad, boy… but you'll need more."

They clashed again—bare fists, raw instinct, no technique. Just survival.

Every punch shook the air. Every kick broke the silence.

---

Meanwhile, Zenro and Shaban were now pure chaos.

Their fists collided so fast they blurred, creating shockwaves that rippled through the puddles.

Shaban ducked under Zenro's punch, countering with a knee to the gut.

Zenro coughed blood but retaliated with an elbow to the jaw.

Shaban stumbled, wiping his mouth. "You're tough."

Zenro smirked. "You talk too much

These both have now reached finale
