Chapter 11: Three Pious Bows & He Is a True Dragon!
"Your Big Brother... were you talking about him?"
Alex casually held up Kane Blackwood's head, the blood on it still fresh and wet.
Lee's pupils constricted violently. The color drained from his face instantly, and his feet felt nailed to the ground, unable to move.
Big Brother is dead?
This Alex in front of me... he actually killed my boss with such ease?
Fear drowned him like a tidal wave. His eyes darted around rapidly, calculating how to deal with the crisis before him.
Suddenly, as if making a resolve, he viciously kicked Kane's severed head away.
"Master Alex! Don't talk nonsense! Kane Blackwood is not my Big Brother. I cut ties with him long ago!"
Since revenge was impossible, he chose to join the enemy!
Alex: "..." That face-change was fast.
Lee dropped directly to his knees, a fawning smile plastered on his face. "Greetings, Big Brother!" Then, he hurriedly turned and shouted at the minions behind him, "Hurry up and greet Big Brother Alex!"
The other two minions looked at each other, performed a power slide on their knees, and landed with a thud.
"Brother Alex! Lord Alex! Daddy Alex!"
"I don't have unfilial sons like you. Apologize yet?"
"Right away!"
The three of them, acting as if they had been granted amnesty, immediately turned around and knocked their heads heavily against the ground toward James Whitefield.
Three pious bows.
"Grandpa! We were wrong! We shouldn't have mocked you!"
James was slightly stunned. "Don't follow wicked people like Kane in the future."
"Of course, Grandpa! We will definitely do more good deeds in the future! Like riding old ladies across the street! Pfft, pfft, pfft! I mean helping old ladies across the street!"
"Enough. Leave your valuables and get lost. Of course, you're welcome to hate me and try to take revenge!" Alex waved his hand impatiently.
"We wouldn't dare, Master! We're leaving right now!"
The three felt like they had been spared from execution. They nimbly dropped their pills and weapons, then turned and ran for their lives.
Revenge on Alex? Did they have a death wish?
Daring to attack an S-Rank Prodigy? Even if their entire families were executed, it wouldn't be enough to pay for the crime!
"Alex, you really made your Uncle proud today!"
His nephew really had fought for their dignity!
"This is just the beginning. The good days are still ahead!"
James smiled with relief. "Good! Good!" Then, a trace of worry flashed in his eyes. "Alex, you killed Kane..."
"Don't worry. He attacked me first. The Federation mandates the death penalty for attacking an S-Rank Awakener. I just executed the sentence a bit early."
Hearing Alex say this, James's worries gradually faded. "Then let's go back to the city. Tonight, us two men will have a good drink!"
"Sure." Alex said, then looked behind him. "We're at the city gate now. Let's part ways here!"
"Alright. See you tomorrow morning, my savior!"
Sia hopped and skipped through the city gate, her face overflowing with excitement and anticipation.
She was already imagining Alex's reaction when he found out her true identity tomorrow...
Alex narrowed his eyes slightly, a trace of confusion flashing in them. That person looks a bit like a girl...
He shook his head, thinking to himself, Man or woman, what does it have to do with me?
After dinner.
Alex looked up at the skyscraper towering into the clouds before him. This was the Riverdale Trade Alliance.
Weapons, beast corpses, pills, potions—everything could be freely bought and sold here.
Entering the lobby, it was bustling with activity. Following the signs, Alex quickly arrived at the Beast Trading Area on the third floor.
"Hello, do you need anything?" The receptionist asked with a professional smile.
"Do you buy beast corpses here?"
"We do. Our Treasure Pavilion offers the fairest prices for beast corpses. You can take them out, and I'll give you an estimate."
"I have a lot of corpses to sell this time. Do you have a Storage Ring I can use to transfer them?"
If it were just a few, I could take them out...
But dozens? It would fill this entire floor!
Hearing Alex's words, a hint of imperceptible scorn appeared at the corner of the receptionist's mouth.
A young guy like him? Killing a few beasts in a day would be his limit!
Claiming he had "a lot"? He was definitely bluffing!
"Manager, there's a customer here selling beast corpses. He says there are too many and needs a Storage Ring!"
The receptionist raised her voice, shouting to the side.
"Coming."
Manager Yvonne, stepping in her high heels, walked out with a swaying gait. She glanced at Alex, surprised by the unfamiliar face.
She thought it was a regular client, but it turned out to be a young man.
"You're the one who says there are too many corpses and needs a Storage Ring?"
"Is there a problem?"
"No problem. It's just that deceiving people isn't good behavior, little brother."
Alex, impatient, tossed his own Storage Ring over. "Whether I'm lying or not, look for yourself. While you're at it, calculate the price for me."
Yvonne caught the ring and probed it with her senses. With just one scan, the faint disdain on her face solidified instantly.
Lying quietly inside were dozens of beast corpses.
She hurriedly twisted her slender waist to pour a cup of tea, a fawning smile piling up on her face. "VIP, let's talk slowly. Do you plan to sell these dozens of carcasses all at once?"
The receptionist beside them was dumbfounded. She felt like a clown!
This guy really took out dozens of beast corpses!
Alex took the tea, took a sip, and said, "Sell them all at once. Calculate how much."
"Right away, VIP. The Rotting Rats and such are average, worth a few thousand. But these Gale Wolves fetch a high price. How about 850,000 credits for the lot?"
Alex calculated silently. It was roughly that price.
"Fine. Take the corpses, give me back the ring."
"Don't be in such a rush, VIP. I assume you have a team behind you, right? How about we establish a long-term cooperation?"
Without a team, how could he possibly bring out so many corpses to sell at once?
There was likely a team, and building a relationship now would ensure they continued selling to her in the future.
"I hunted them alone. Just pay me. Don't waste my time."
Yvonne chuckled softly. Although shock lingered in her eyes, she was still skeptical.
"VIP, it's impossible for one person to hunt so many beasts in a single day. Besides, did you kill this Tier 1 Rank 6 beast too? Bragging too much isn't good, is it?"
Alex looked up. "What if I'm not bragging?"
She keeps pushing. I can't just keep tolerating it, right?
"If you aren't bragging, instead of 850,000, I'll round it up and give you 2 million!"
Dark elements flashed in Alex's eyes, and a murderous aura permeated the air.
The Death Scythe was summoned. The black blade rested directly against her white neck.
"What about now? Do you still think I can't kill a Tier 1 Rank 6 beast?"
Feeling the aura of death, Yvonne's face turned pale. She swallowed hard. "I believe you... I believe you..."
The second the scythe touched her neck, she truly felt she was going to die...
Alex withdrew the scythe. "Then transfer the money. Remember, 2 million."
Yvonne transferred the beast corpses from Alex's ring and handed over a bank card. "The password is six zeros. There are 2 million credits inside."
Alex took it and stood up. "Which way to the Pill Hall?"
"On the third floor."
"Good."
Watching Alex leave, Yvonne felt he looked increasingly familiar.
After a long while, she suddenly realized. Wasn't that person Alex Whitefield?
Riverdale City's newly promoted S-Rank Prodigy!
As a manager in this trade industry, she naturally had to know about new prodigies to build connections.
But what puzzled her was... Why was Alex's realm Tier 1, Rank 4??
Didn't he just awaken today?
And he's already Rank 4?
She definitely didn't sense his aura fluctuation wrong earlier!
Not only was he Rank 4, but he could also kill Rank 6 beasts?
If that person really was Alex, then Riverdale City had produced a True Dragon!
"Manager Yvonne, who was that?" an employee asked curiously.
"He is a True Dragon..."
Yvonne muttered to herself, her eyes filled with regret and unwillingness.
If I had known earlier, I would have worn something more revealing... maybe tempted him into a beautiful night...
Just to build a good relationship with this dragon who is about to soar!
