Even though Edith wanted to tell him what was really going on, things were getting more complicated. It was even harder for her to avoid Callum because she had to be his dance partner at the upcoming ball. What would she do if Cliff were to attend the ball? She didn't want the two men to fight over her. However, she also didn't want to turn down Callum's invitation because he had given her so many gifts today.
"How important is the dance that you have to ask me?"
"Actually, I've never attended a dance party before. Moreover, if I didn't attend, I'd be matched with anyone."
