SEBASTIAN — THE WORLD TURNED BLUE
The light hit him like a tidal wave.
A surge of electric-blue energy burst through the safehouse walls, cracking the air with a noise that wasn't sound but vibration. Every bulb shattered. Every monitor went dark.
And at the center of it all Isabella.
She floated inches above the floor, her hair wild around her, her skin lit from within as if a star had been born inside her chest. The blue glow pulsed through her veins, flickering beneath her skin like lightning trapped in glass.
"Isabella!" Sebastian roared, forcing himself forward against the current. The closer he got, the heavier the pressure grew, like gravity itself wanted him to stay back.
"Sebastian" Her voice wasn't her own. It echoed, layered, resonant. "It's inside me. I can feel it."
He reached her at last, grabbing her shoulders, grounding her as his own skin burned under the electric touch. "Fight it! You're stronger than this"
