Sunlight spilled across the rolling hills, bathing the vineyard in gold.
Rows of green vines shimmered beneath the morning haze, and the air carried the scent of rosemary, ripe grapes, and hope.
A small villa stood at the edge of the property white stone, blue shutters, ivy curling across the terrace. Birds darted between the cypress trees, their songs echoing through the stillness.
Inside, laughter broke the quiet.
"Sebastian, she's doing it again!"
Isabella's voice floated from the nursery, warm and amused.
Sebastian leaned against the doorway, a rare, unguarded smile on his face as he watched their daughter reach for the mobile hanging above her crib a delicate array of tiny stars and moons he'd made himself.
Little Ava kane gurgled and waved her small hands, catching one of the paper moons.
"She's persistent," Sebastian murmured, stepping closer.
"She gets that from you," Isabella teased, brushing a stray curl from the baby's forehead.
