Chapter 53 - Chapter 52: Close Quarters Combat Genius.

Upon the debris of the train station, where it used to be the intersection with the global economy of Pegasus.

A place where a bloody confrontation had just erupted.

"So, what are your names?"

"Corin!"

"Coran!"

"... What is the name of that one who is unconscious?"

"It is Coren, milady!"

"It is Coren, sir!"

"... The names of you three are too similar, even your faces look the same. Are you brothers?"

"Yes!"

"That is correct, sir!"

"Alright, then I shall ask, who detonated this place? And who came up with this idea?"

Janeus rested her chin in her hand. Her hand held a notebook and floating above her back was a magical pen writing down the information about this conversation on her behalf.

She leaned her back against the haughty sword behind her, comfortably looking at the two men kneeling at her feet.

After Ron thrashed that fellow Coren into unconsciousness, he seemed to follow the wind and fly straight back to the hospital, while pushing the interrogation of these guys onto Princess Janeus.

"Not speaking?"

Janeus looked at the two men who were looking at each other's faces, both bearing bruises that Ron had caused earlier.

They looked into each other's eyes, looking at the bruises on their lips and the blood traces on their chins.

Then the one who looked oldest and most mature glanced behind Janeus, where the sharp sword was utilized as a backrest support.

"...Alright, milady, we apologize, okay? We will say everything we know. We, the three brothers of the Cor family, came from the Western police station. That is the place where people like us, coming from the train, are staying. The people there, t-they elected the three of us and told us to destroy the train. They spoke about it being a demon core..."

"The train? The police station?"

Janeus seemed to think of something. She looked into their gaze and their breathing.

Knowing the targets before her were ordinary citizens without strong psychological qualities, she plunged straight into the matter.

"Take me there."

...

At the gates of the private hospital in Pegasus, where hundreds of human disguising monsters were surrounding the area.

There stood a young, powerful red haired youth with surging muscles beneath his t shirt, guarding the entrance.

His gaze was dazed and soulless like someone lacking sleep, making it seem as if merely a single leaf blowing past and touching him would be enough to knock down this beautiful statue.

He was waiting for someone, someone who would arrive and tell him to go rest.

Nevertheless, he was also acting as the gatekeeper, a protector for the three humans behind him.

SWISH~

Right at the brief moment he dropped his guard and closed his eyes, within an extremely short instant lasting less than a fraction of a second, an exceptionally sharp claw was brought right against his neck.

"An illusion?"

Lunas grabbed the tentacle part then flexed his arm muscles to yank it back. He accelerated and traced along the tentacle, and within a passing instant, he used two fingers to blind the enemy.

Lunas still kept his eyes closed, but his legs had already moved at supersonic speed, unleashing an invisible kick right into the opponent's head that left teeth and jaw thoroughly shattered, except his leg appeared to remain in its original position.

He spun his body, unleashing a spinning kick aimed straight at the enemy's neck, crushing his airway.

Then he leaped. Relying on the fact that the other's body was bloating up due to tentacles appearing on the skin, he clung onto his neck, not allowing the tentacles to push him away.

SLAM!

Lunas picked up the enemy's jaw, then slowly tore it apart to both sides using his bare hands.

CRACK

RIP!

And when the skull jaw completely separated from the body, he decisively raised his hand, and then...

Blood sprayed down like rain, splashing onto the face of that sleepwalking genius.

Lunas would never let everything conclude that swiftly. Recalling the lessons Ron had told him, he flicked his hand downward, and in a flash, his hand held a short knife.

STAB~

Blood gushed from the eyes, as brain fluid continuously welled up from the eye sockets without stopping.

Lunas abandoned the attack upon seeing the cluster of tentacles wrapping around the frame cease moving.

He landed on the ground, scanning his surroundings. Dozens of corpses had been killed by him in a highly neat, swift, and rapid manner.

As Ron's disciple, he had been taught combat fundamentals in a crowd, ranging from methods to reduce morale to collective assassination tactics.

But another part was because the enemies he just fought were quite foolish, appearing as though they could only utilize basic magic, while anything complex was far beyond their reach.

In any case, the person Lunas was waiting for had returned.

That person was covered in blood, with organs spilling out that were stuffed back inside and stitched up crudely, while his hand held a thick folder of documents.
