Chapter 96 - CHAPTER - 96 NI ZAI NALI, YUAN? ( WHERE WERE YOU, YUAN)

"Don't you know, Miss Zhao Shiza, that what he did to save you is beyond the bars of anything or everything?" Dr. Feng said.

"Dr. Feng, please explain it clearly. I have just come into my conscious state. I can't think much deeply," I said.

Dr. Feng exhaled sharply and said, "When he brought you here, his hands were shaking like hell, but still… still he never loosened his grip on you. His shirt is still soaked with your blood. He was looking like something that we can't even imagine seeing. He was begging for you, begging for your life."

"Was my condition that serious?" I asked.

"Indeed, yes, it was," Dr. Feng said. "But it looks like someone was already ready to fight with destiny, fate, or anything to hold you back. He was continuously praying like it was his assigned work. You know what? You didn't need anyone's prayer in your life. Till this young man is standing beside you, not even a single strand of problems will ever be able to touch you."

"Doctor Feng, what really happened to me?" I asked in my small voice.

"Nothing much serious, but things would have gone worse if he hadn't arranged blood for you," Dr. Feng said.

"Blood… for me… arranged?" I repeated his words. Then I asked, "Didn't the hospital have A positive blood group?"

"A positive?" Dr. Feng laughed a little while saying it. "Miss, who told you that you have an A positive blood group?"

"Actually, since childhood, everyone in my family told this to me," I said.

"There must be some reason for not letting you know that your blood group is not A positive. It's Rh null value, also known as golden blood," Dr. Feng said.

"Rh null value?" I repeated. I heard about this blood group for the first time in my life. "How could I even have it running inside my body?" I said.

Dr. Feng smiled and said, "This is the rarest blood group, so next time, if you really love your boyfriend, then don't run out of blood. We really don't know how he arranged this blood for you, because we checked the whole Shanghai and all the cities in China, but we didn't get your blood group. Still, he managed to find it."

"Take rest, Miss," Dr. Feng said and left the room, leaving me with so many questions inside me.

"Did he really love me that much?" I murmured to myself. I knew he loved me, but I never thought it could be like this.

Then Wang Ruoxi entered the room with a bag of fruits in her hands.

"How are you feeling, Zhao Shiza?" she asked.

I forced a smile and said, "I'm fine."

She put the bag down on the table and sat on the chair beside my bed. "I'll cut fruits for you. Have some," she said.

"No, Wang Ruoxi, I'm not in the mood to have anything," I said.

"It doesn't depend on your mood. Look at yourself, you're looking so weak. Just have some," she said.

"No, please, Wang Ruoxi, I just don't feel like having it," I said.

Wang Ruoxi exhaled sharply and said, "Have some… for Yuan."

That word—his name—carried so much depth and power, or in simple language, an invisible gravitational force that pulled me towards him knowingly or unknowingly. I immediately opened my mouth without arguing.

She smiled and put fruits inside it.

I chewed slowly. After finishing that bite, I asked, "Wang Ruoxi, where is he?"

"Who?" she asked.

"Don't act foolish, Wang Ruoxi," I said.

"I don't know. I just saw him a few minutes ago. He was on a call, talking to someone regarding work, maybe," she said.

"Hmm," I said.

"You've learned his 'hmm' from him, haven't you? Nowadays I'm noticing that you do this 'hmm' a lot," Wang Ruoxi said.

"No, I mean… it's not like what you're thinking," I said in a quiet, hesitating tone.

"Zhao Shiza, don't lie to me. I think you've forgotten that there was a time when I didn't know you liked him. I used to be his fan. I've also watched his dramas, so tell this lie to someone who isn't his fan—at least not in front of me," she said while folding her arms.

"Aren't you here to feed me fruits?" I said, trying to change the topic.

"But you weren't in the mood to have it, right?" she asked.

"Now I want to eat. Give me that apple," I said.

She took the apple in her hand and smiled shamelessly.

"Why are you smiling?" I asked.

"Nothing. Eat your favourite—Yuan's apple," she said.

"So you remember that too?" I asked.

She smiled again and said, "Of course. You can't hide from me."

I ate the apple while thinking about him. There were so many questions I wanted to ask him. But where was he? When would he come? I really didn't know.

"Just come soon, Yuan. Your Zhao Shiza is waiting for you," I said in my heart.

"You know what? I want to say sorry to you," Wang Ruoxi said.

"Sorry for what?" I asked.

"Actually, when the doctors weren't able to find your blood group, I…" she hesitated.

"You what?" I asked.

"I scolded him," she said.

"Him? You scolded Yuan?" I asked.

She nodded her head.

"How dare you, Wang Ruoxi, to scold him?" I said in quiet anger.

"Relax, Zhao Shiza. This much anger is not good for you," she said, trying to calm me down.

I set the plate of fruits away from me on the table and said, "I don't want to talk to you."

"Zhao Shiza, this is too much," she said.

"Okay, what do you want?" she asked.

"Go and apologise to him," I said while folding my hands.

She exhaled sharply and said, "Okay, fine. When he comes here, I'll apologise to him. But don't waste your energy on this. You've just come out of such a heavy blood transfusion," she said.

"If you really cared for me, then you wouldn't have done it," I said.

Then footsteps approached—footsteps I was familiar with. Who else could it be other than him?

My eyes saw it. He was standing in front of the door.

I immediately said, "Yuan… you came back."

He smiled, nodded, and entered the room slowly.

Wang Ruoxi stood up from her seat and said, "Now I'm getting going," and left the room.

He sat on the chair beside my bed, and then…
