The moment those two words — "Not possible" — came out of his mouth, the entire scene fell silent.
Oguro couldn't help glancing at the chubby CP0 agent.
Kid, you're pretty bold.
"I think you might have misunderstood."
Oguro smiled, but the words coming out of his mouth were cold to the bone.
"I wasn't asking for your opinion. I was simply stating a fact."
Swoosh.
Soi Fon vanished from Oguro's side.
The female CP0, who had retreated toward Iceburg, felt her heart clench. Her Observation Haki screamed warnings.
Without thinking, she swung her blade horizontally. Her Armament Haki tore through the air, leaving behind a thin silver line.
But her slash only reached halfway before someone forcefully stopped it.
Soi Fon held a half-dead Iceburg in one hand and the female CP0's wrist in the other.
The swordsmanship she prided herself on couldn't be used at all.
So fast.
The female CP0's pupils shrank.
"No wonder you escaped unscathed from Admiral Aokiji. That kind of speed… even in CP0, no one can compare."
Her eyes twitched slightly. Her left hand quietly coated itself in Armament Haki.
Even if her sword was sealed, she still had other ways to attack.
But the moment she formed that thought, a crushing pressure — like a collapsing mountain — slammed onto her.
"Conqueror's Haki? No… this is just pure killing intent!"
CP0 had no idea what reiatsu was, so they could only interpret the feeling as Soi Fon's own aura.
But even that alone was enough to terrify them.
If a person's presence alone could be that overwhelming, how strong did she have to be?
What kind of monsters served under Sith Oguro?
The female CP0's left hand froze midair. She didn't dare continue the attack.
Soi Fon cast her a calm glance, released her wrist, then turned around and carried Iceburg back.
Even facing Soi Fon's back, the female CP0 didn't dare lift her sword.
In her eyes, Soi Fon at that moment was a demon god. If she dared make the slightest move, she would be shredded instantly.
"Tsukigiri! Why aren't you attacking!" the chubby CP0 shouted, anxious.
Iceburg was the target of their mission. If they failed, they were finished.
Tsukigiri snorted coldly. "Why don't you attack? That distance shouldn't be a problem for you, Flame Demon."
You want me to die for you?
Keep dreaming.
They might be on the same team, but CP0 was a place where loyalty meant nothing and survival always came first.
Some members didn't hesitate to sacrifice teammates to complete a mission.
Flame Demon clearly had that idea.
Being exposed, he coldly snorted and went silent.
Too much honesty and the team would never function again.
Meanwhile, Soi Fon returned to Oguro's side. Hanataro Yamada immediately stepped forward to treat Iceburg.
The wound wasn't fatal, but the untreated gunshot in his abdomen was already showing signs of infection. If it wasn't treated soon, it would be dangerous.
"A healer?!" Flame Demon's expression tightened.
This kind of talent was rare even in CP0.
If he knew Oguro's entire 4th Division specialized in healing, he'd probably faint from jealousy.
"I… Tsukigiri… plus Leopard King… maybe we could stall that woman for a while, but stealing Iceburg back is impossible."
Flame Demon began analyzing calmly.
"Since we can't win by force, the only path left is negotiation."
No matter what, he absolutely couldn't let Oguro take Iceburg.
Pluton was too important.
The World Government would never allow such a weapon to fall into someone else's hands.
He took a deep breath, then spoke loudly.
"Lord Oguro! Iceburg is a criminal personally named by the World Government. Doing this means openly offending the World Government!"
"If you are willing to hand him over, I am willing to apply on your behalf to have your bounty revoked!"
"As long as you don't oppose the World Government, we can guarantee you will never be hunted. How about it?"
CP9 collectively sucked in a cold breath.
They worked their asses off to capture Iceburg and got nothing but a promise to revoke their kill order… and even that promise was broken.
Meanwhile Oguro?
He stole Iceburg in broad daylight and CP0 offered him a mountain of benefits.
Comparing people really makes you angry.
Oguro wasn't surprised.
People saw the World Government ruling for 800 years and thought they acted arrogant toward everyone.
But think about the Four Emperors in the New World. Each of them controlled huge territories.
Yet they lived comfortably.
The World Government acted tough, but mostly toward common people.
Facing real monsters, compromise was the norm.
Otherwise they wouldn't strictly limit the Navy's funding, keeping the sea barely balanced.
With so much Heavenly Tribute collected every year, if even a tenth went to the Navy, their power would skyrocket in a couple years.
But the government would never do that.
Because they knew they couldn't control the Four Emperors… and they couldn't control a Navy that became too powerful.
Lucci lowered his head, hatred flickering in his eyes.
He finally understood.
Loyalty meant nothing.
Strength was the only thing that mattered.
He remembered Oguro's words from that night.
"A way out? That's your real goal?"
Lucci looked toward Oguro with complicated emotions.
Oguro, meanwhile, ignored Flame Demon completely.
He looked at Iceburg, whose complexion had turned healthier, and said with a smile.
"Iceburg, have you considered working for me?"
"With the World Government targeting you, you're not going to have a good future."
Flame Demon immediately barked.
"Oguro! Are you sure you want to make an enemy of the World Government?!"
Oguro finally reacted.
He turned his head slightly and spoke slowly.
"Do you think I care?"
Flame Demon froze.
Oguro sneered.
"When you launched the Buster Call, did you care about whether that meant becoming enemies with me?"
"Or do you think the whole world must obey you? Whether you destroy or negotiate, everything is supposed to be a blessing from your almighty hands? Who the hell do you think you are?"
"A bunch of parasites clinging to the pages of history. Someone will drag you down sooner or later."
"You… you…"
Flame Demon trembled with shock and fear. He couldn't form a complete sentence.
Eight hundred years. No one had ever humiliated the World Government like this.
Oguro snorted.
A violent wave of Conqueror's Haki erupted like a tidal wave.
"If you don't get lost right now, you die."
