Chapter 260 - 3.62. Thirty-Six Paths of the Law of Life. (Void Battlefield)

Kaelan comprehends the last remaining path of the Law of Life.

Not the final Path of the Law of Life itself.

But the thirty-sixth minor path is required to complete the entire structure of the Law.

For years, Kaelan had already comprehended the Ten Primary Paths of the Law of Life. To ordinary True Spirit Wizards, comprehending even one complete Path of a Major Law already represented an extraordinary achievement.

But Kaelan's situation had long surpassed ordinary standards.

Because each of his Paths contained multiple complete Principles and minor structures within them.

Together, the Ten Primary Paths formed thirty complete minor paths of the Law of Life.

The Path of Vitality.

The Path of Mutation.

The Path of Life.

The Path of Blood.

The Path of Proliferation.

The Path of Resonance.

The Path of Form.

The Path of Symbiosis.

The Path of Memory.

The Path of Adaptation.

Thirty complete minor paths already formed a terrifyingly advanced Law structure capable of influencing flesh, bloodlines, memory, mutation, soul resonance, biological reconstruction, and evolutionary transformation.

Yet despite the immense complexity of the structure, the Law remained incomplete.

Fragmented.

Separated.

Like organs without a heart.

The first of the missing Paths Kaelan comprehended became the Eleventh Path of the Law of Life and the thirty-first minor path.

The Path of Parasite.

Not merely the ability to infect or consume.

But the understanding is that life naturally survives through dependency, invasion, coexistence, and biological theft.

After comprehending the Path of Parasite, the remaining hidden structures of the Law of Life gradually revealed themselves one after another.

The Path of Decay.

The Path of Rebirth.

The Path of Consciousness.

The Path of Evolution.

The Path of Soul-Life Integration.

When the final Path completed itself inside his soul, the entire Law of Life changed.

The thirty-six minor paths no longer remained isolated structures orbiting independently within his True Spirit.

Instead, they began resonating together.

Linking together.

Completing one another.

The six foundational directions stabilised.

The twelve functional cycles are connected.

The eighteen transformation structures began circulating endlessly.

For the first time, the Law of Life no longer felt like a collection of separate comprehensions.

It became a living ecosystem.

A complete Major Law.

Kaelan slowly opens his eyes.

Inside his soul, the thirty-six minor paths circulate endlessly like a living celestial formation.

Now he stands before the final step.

The transformation of the Law of Life into his own personal Law.

The Reflecting Moon Stage.

At this stage, a Law no longer remains borrowed from the universe.

It becomes individualised.

Personalized.

A foundational structure unique to the cultivator.

But for that transformation to occur, the Law requires a core.

A central Path capable of unifying the entire Law structure into a singular identity.

For most cultivators, the choice would have been obvious.

The Path of Life.

The most stable.

The safest.

The Path that explains the fundamental structure of living existence and the circulation of Life Energy itself.

The original foundation of all Life-related Laws.

Choosing it as the core would allow the entire Law of Life to stabilise naturally with minimal risk.

But Kaelan does not choose it.

Because he already has another direction in mind.

Evolution.

His thoughts drift toward the crow race.

Toward the species he personally created and nurtured using his own bloodline.

Unlike ordinary magical beasts, the crows already possess complete spirituality comparable to humanity because of Kaelan's blood flowing through their race.

Yet despite that advantage, their growth remains disappointing in Kaelan's eyes.

The Wizard Way itself originated from Kaelan.

He is not inheriting another civilisation's cultivation system.

He is the ancestor of the entire Wizard Path.

Before him, no Wizard existed.

Which means he understands the structure of the Wizard Way better than any being alive.

And because of that understanding, he clearly sees the flaws within the Crow race.

Among humanity, more than ninety per cent eventually become Wizards.

Most remain apprentice Wizards throughout their lives.

Some never even learn a complete spell.

Yet the sheer scale of the population guarantees the possibility.

Given enough generations and enough accumulation, eventually another True Spirit Wizard will inevitably emerge from humanity.

That is the true, terrifying strength of the Wizard civilisation.

Not individual talent.

Population-wide transcendence potential.

But the crows are different.

Even with Kaelan's bloodline flowing through them, less than thirty per cent successfully become Wizards.

Most merely become magical beasts.

They gain intelligence after reaching the apprentice stage.

Yet even then, most remain comparable only to children.

Their wisdom stagnates.

Their instincts remain dominant over higher reasoning.

Only a tiny number continue developing true intelligence and eventually become apprentice Wizards capable of independent research and spell creation.

This is unacceptable to Kaelan.

The upcoming war now remains less than thirty years away.

Humanity alone cannot sustain what is coming.

He does not need the crow race to remain magical beasts serving Wizards.

He needs them to become a true civilisation.

A race equal to humanity.

Capable of learning.

Researching.

Evolving.

Creating.

And to achieve that,

The core of his Law of Life cannot be Life itself.

It must be Evolution.

Because life merely preserves existence.

Evolution transcends it.

The moment the thought stabilises within Kaelan's mind, he no longer wastes time contemplating abstract theories.

Instead, he immediately begins practical reconstruction.

Inside the Ether Sea, countless streams of information begin moving rapidly as Kaelan summons the complete genetic structure of the crow race before him.

Layer after layer of biological records unfold inside the Ether Sea.

Bone structures.

Bloodline resonance.

Muscular patterns.

Neural pathways.

Soul-memory inheritance.

Instinctive behaviour structures.

Unlike humanity, whose biological complexity required centuries of observation and gradual understanding, Kaelan's comprehension of crows reaches an entirely different level.

Before his physical body transformed into the Ether Sea itself,

He had once been a crow.

Not merely studying them from outside.

But living as one.

Flying.

Hunting.

Surviving.

Understanding their instincts from within.

Because of this, no living being understands the crow race more deeply than Kaelan himself.

The Ether Sea ripples endlessly around him while he begins reconstructing the species step by step.

He starts not from intelligence.

Not from bloodlines.

But from the body itself.

Because wisdom without a suitable vessel eventually collapses.

The first transformation begins within the skeletal structure.

A natural crow's body evolved for flight.

Light.

Flexible.

Fragile.

But such a structure cannot support the neurological and spiritual strain required for true higher intelligence.

So Kaelan begins restructuring the entire biological foundation of the species.

Inside the Ether Sea, the hollow pneumatic bones characteristic of ordinary crows gradually begin changing.

The empty chambers within the bones slowly close.

Thin skeletal walls thicken layer by layer.

The lightweight avian structure transforms into something far denser and stronger.

Yet Kaelan does not simply create heavier bones.

That would cripple the species.

Instead, the hollow regions become filled with a specialised marrow structure capable of conducting magical and spiritual energy throughout the body.

The bones themselves become living conduits.

A framework not merely for movement,

But for energy circulation.

The next transformation occurs within the chest.

The massive avian keel bone, once evolved to anchor powerful flight muscles, slowly flattens and restructures itself into a humanoid sternum.

Internal organs shift alongside it.

The respiratory and digestive systems become more complex.

More efficient.

The body gradually sacrifices pure flight optimisation in exchange for structural adaptability and biological versatility.

Then Kaelan moves toward the wings.

One of the most difficult transformations.

The small thumb-feather structure known as the alula slowly begins changing.

Tiny bones hidden beneath the feathers elongate.

Joint structures multiply.

Tendons stretch and divide into increasingly complex networks.

At first, the transformation appears grotesque.

Unnatural.

But gradually, the wing tips begin developing true articulation.

Primitive digits form beneath the feathered structures.

Not fully human fingers.

Yet no longer simple wings either.

By the Aparsha Stage, the elongated tendons and flexible joints allow the wing tips to curl inward and wrap around objects with surprising dexterity.

The species slowly moves away from pure avian life.

And toward something entirely new.

When the first complete structural model finally stabilises inside the Ether Sea, Kaelan silently observes the result before him.

The creature standing within the simulation still clearly resembles a crow.

But no ordinary crow could ever compare to it now.

Its body stands taller and more upright, though still slightly hunched forward from its avian ancestry.

The black feathers covering its body remain sleek and dark like obsidian, yet beneath them the frame appears visibly stronger and denser.

The chest no longer protrudes sharply like a bird adapted only for flight.

Instead, the torso broadens slightly, giving the creature a more balanced and humanoid centre of mass.

Its legs become longer and more stable, designed not only for perching but for sustained upright locomotion across land.

The wings remain large, though narrower than before.

And near the folded tips,

Small articulated feathered digits twitch subtly with independent movement.

Not true hands.

But no longer simple wings.

The neck remains long and flexible, supporting the sharp black beak and piercing eyes characteristic of the crow race.

Yet the eyes themselves change the most.

The instinctive emptiness common among ordinary magical beasts begins fading.

In its place appears awareness.

Observation.

Potential thought.

The creature now looks less like an evolved animal,

And more like the beginning of a new intelligent species standing between beast and civilisation.
