Dahlia's POV
A smile tugged at my lips when Soren spoke those words. Jealous men never admit their feelings directly.
It was nothing more than wounded masculine pride.
I gave Soren a casual glance and shrugged. "You're the one who claims to have feelings for me, not the other way around. Someone showing interest in me should be flattering. It proves you have excellent taste."
I twisted the truth without shame.
The idea was ridiculous. Eddie could never harbor romantic feelings for me. More importantly, any connection between us was impossible. I had to ensure it remained that way.
My eyes drifted back to Soren. Those penetrating dark eyes held the luminous quality of stars, mesmerizing and dangerous.
Soren drew a slow breath, his eyebrow arching slightly. A subtle smile played across his features. "Seems like I haven't been thorough enough with you."
My body went rigid. Before comprehension could fully form, his large, heated palm curved around my waist.
