Kurt was slumped up against the dead corpse of the Horror Rabbit, trying to determine who just spoke. "Was that a threat?" He coughed back at the voice, and his lungs, and chest stung.
"It should be easy enough to find something to finish you off, you look in no condition to do anything," coming from around the fountain a human-like form appeared floating, and undeniably a fae.
"Finally you're here," Layla said. Where did she come from? "Ohh Sir Kurt, my mighty champion, you did so well, don't you worry I'll handle it from here," Layla hovered into his vision facing him, her face was beautiful, "I did say I'd handle all the politics of everything. Congratulations too, that was the first time you ever used the well directly, quite an accomplishment for such a young champion, I knew you were ready, and defeating a Horror Rabbit by yourself, that was also a guardian, that's not a small matter either, what will the Goblins say? Glory, I suppose as always," she giggled "I must say very well done, Better than I could have ever hoped for, you grew so much. Don't worry anymore, I'm here now," placing her hand on his shoulder "we will get you back to our well and heal you right up."
"Huh," said Kurt, barely able to move. "What are you doing here? How are you here?" coughing out a little blood.
"Don't worry about all that now, you should rest. I'll give this one a talking-to for you. I promise this time I won't ask you anything, you won't have to talk at all, not one word. You're done, victorious. Just rest now, you trust me right?" Kurt gave back a nod, he didn't have any words for what was happening. How was Layla even there? Kurt's head stung from just an injury, and couldn't comprehend the meaning of that. He was glad she was there, but why? How? When?
"A talking-to?" said the other fae. "You're one to talk, your champion is here encroaching on my well and just killed my champion, like I'm just going to sit here and let that happen. If anyone needs a talking-to it's you."
Layla turned towards the dead creature, "Quite a sight isn't it." The Horror Rabbit's head was completely crushed, sinew guts and blood covered the area, one eyeball had been thrown to the side, it was a gruesome sight to behold.
"Are you listening to me?"
"Yes I'm listening, it would be rude of me not to. You have a strange configuration for your Well also." Layla seemed to be ignoring the other fae looking at their surroundings and forest around her.
"So you've noticed, notice how it's specifically designed to keep things out," the other fae was noticeably annoyed by Layla's presence and nonchalant attitude.
"Yes, it's actually ingenious the way you do it," still looking around, "I'm impressed, I wasn't even sure it was a well, for a long time, but still it's missing something though. Actually, this is really good. I can see it from this vantage point, I'll show you one day."
"You do realize it's also designed to expel another fae from here as well, right?"
"And yet, here I stand." Layla said, floating, finally turning to face the other fae.
"You think I'm just going to let you take my well."
"Not particularly, I assumed you'd fight for it of course. I could say my champion had no idea this was a well at all and this is all just a misunderstanding, your champion did attack him you know."
"Lies, you knew the second he stepped foot in here. You could have stopped this, and they were stealing. How could you not know?"
"You caught me, that is all true."
"And…."
"And? So, I am, I guess, as they say — waiting."
The other fae gave a stare back at her in silence. Layla paused, smiling at her for a few moments and there was no response, then continued. "We can talk more first, if you like. I'm in no rush really, Kurt looks like he just needs a good rest in the well, and we can get there quickly after this, plus I don't think our business will take very long. You know I was thinking maybe you've been trapped by your guardian, I mean Horror Rabbits are not known for their sanity. I did, possibly, see myself as your salvation." Kurt felt Layla was purposefully insulting the other fae somehow.
"You stupid lit—" the other fae stopped talking abruptly, and her face relaxed somehow, no more anger showed on her face at all.
"Is something wrong? Did you do something? You could surrender, of course, that would make everything much easier." said Layla, looking at the other fae.
The other fae was looking at her like she was about to salivate. "What did you do?"
"Do? Nothing," said Layla. "I didn't even really feel anything either. What did you do?"
"But, you…I…when…what is it?" said the other fae.
"Ohh you mean this?" said Layla, and the other fae let out a groan, a groan of pleasure. Kurt was wondering what was happening, it didn't look like Layla had done anything, was this like that time she did that thing to his mana? It didn't make him do that.
"How…? Oh the Gods…it feels so…what are you doing…don't…stop…"
"That my saturation of course, it's what you're supposed to be fighting against, I thought that was obvious, this is just a tiny bit, I am rather enjoying our conversation, I haven't talked to another fae in some time."
"But, how? I don't understand."
Layla said slowly, "You actually are enjoying it, aren't you?" She looked at the other fae with a confused look on her face, the other fae was giving back an approving stare, nodding. "That is a bit unexpected, I didn't think you could do anything, but enjoying it that is…differnt." The other fae nodded even more vigorously in approval, like she was about to start begging on her knees.
Kurt wanted to speak, but he was in such pain and had no idea what was happening. It seemed like the other fae was just as clueless as him, but something was happening to her. He couldn't even find words to say anyway.
"What's your name?"
"Mary," said Mary immediately, eyes still glued in a hopeful expression towards Layla.
"Well don't you worry at all my little Mary," said Layla, cupping her face in her hand, which Mary didn't resist at all. "We will find you a new champion. For the one you lost, I have one in mind I think you'll like." She let go of Mary and turned to the fountain's center, "of course" the structure started to dematerialize, "we'll get this pump working differently" it then started to form again, but differently.
"Him too?" Mary turned towards Kurt. Kurt had no idea what they were saying, why him, what did he have to do with any of this?
"Yes, him too."
"But the saturation can you…" said Mary weakly, getting on both her knees, "umm please, umm start?"
"Ohh, I'm sorry, it must have slipped my mind, how's this?" Layla patted Mary on the head as she happily smiled. She then started to quiver, she lifted off her knees, floating higher and higher, started to bring to a more horizontal position, if Kurt didn't know any better he would think Mary was currently orgasming, she was giving these pleasurable groans and was hugging her body like she was in the most wonderful feeling, "More! More! More! I want it all, take the whole thing please, please, forever and ever, I want it. I'll do whatever you want." she screamed in joy.
"If that is what you really want…" said Layla, tilting her head with a grin.
"Ohh my Lady, my dear Lady I will never want anything else," Seem floated, coming up close, facing Layla with a crooked smile, "do you feel like this all the time? Forever and ever. How could you, how could anyone, not want it? " She started laughing menacingly. "I will kill your enemies, bring you the heads of their champions, burn their cities to the ground, I'd do it all with just a single word from you, not even a word, a simple nod would be enough"
"That's enough now, we don't need all that." Layla hadn't stopped smiling, "You can call me Princess Layla, your majesty, or My Lady, that should be fine."
"Not Queen, Yes It must be. My Queen! My Queen! My Queen!" Mary shouted, "Yes! The fae have never had a Queen before, never had a Princess before either I guess," darting around excitedly yet gracefully, dancing in the air, "but who else could be?"
"No, not yet, I don't feel like much of a Queen just yet, there is something I must do first, I think you'll be of great help with that actually. But, don't worry my dear subject, you'll understand when it happens, and why until then I'm merely just a Princess, and what it means to be a True Queen, it's important to have goals, I am rather ambitious."
"I look forward to the day your majesty. On the day of your coronation, I shall make them all kneel to your grace. If that is what you wish." she knelt down herself towards Layla, at her own mention of kneeling, Layla nodded approvingly.
Kurt had no idea what either of them were talking about, he had just experienced probably multiple concussions, he was barely staying awake, he could barely hold a thought, he was breathing heavily, his heart was pounding, and then nodded off, unable to stay conscious any longer. His last thought, What had Layla done to her? His body made a thud as it fell to the side and hit the ground.
