Chapter 17 - Chapter 17: What the heck is a Dragon? What the heck is a Dragon!

But she didn't notice that as soon as she pushed the ball one-third of the way up, many people's eyes widened.

When she pushed it halfway, almost everyone stood up.

When she successfully pushed the ball to the top of the slope, everyone fell silent.

Because this iron ball and slope had Originium Arts applied to them, the higher one pushed, the more force was required. Halfway up was the passing line for Heavy Operators, while other Operators generally only needed to push it one-third of the way to succeed.

Currently, the highest point of this test had only been successfully reached by Kal'tsit's Mon3tr, and Mon3tr had exhausted all its strength after pushing it to the top.

But the Young Dragon below pushed the ball from the bottom to the top at a constant speed, and afterwards, she even pretended to wipe non-existent sweat from her forehead. What did this indicate? She hadn't even exerted herself.

Did the equipment break? Everyone looked at Kroos, who had last inspected and maintained the equipment.

Kroos shook her head blankly. She swore on her identity as Rhodes Island's Chief Engineer that while she might be a bit unreliable in transactions, when it came to products she handled, she could confidently guarantee they were fine.

But the situation below made her doubt herself. Had the testing equipment really malfunctioned?

Kanna in the arena didn't know what was happening outside. After pushing the ball to the top, she only thought she might have exaggerated "a little bit," so she immediately made amends by pretending to wipe the non-existent sweat from her forehead, so that others would think she had expended a lot of effort pushing the large sphere up.

When pushing it upwards, she did feel that the force required later on was about twice as much as before. However, while there's a difference between lifting one bottle of water and two, a normal person wouldn't feel particularly tired just from an extra bottle.

And Kanna, who had always acted alone, and after meeting Outcast, was either eating or sleeping, hadn't really noticed the significant difference in strength between herself and others.

Amiya now looked at Kal'tsit in alarm, asking through her eyes if she should continue the assessment.

Kal'tsit let out a light breath. It seemed Kanna's origin was even more mysterious than she had imagined.

There were indeed creatures on Terra with such immense strength, but they were either "gods" or "beasts." She had never heard of a "Young Dragon" like Kanna.

However, judging by her appearance, she might have lost her memory or hoped to use Rhodes Island to avoid something.

After some thought, Kal'tsit decided to accept Kanna. Whatever her purpose, under the current circumstances, she could only continue. Moreover, it seemed her arrival at Rhodes Island was an accident, and she harbored no ill will towards Rhodes Island.

Therefore, if they could gain the friendship of an unknown "god" by providing shelter and food, it would undoubtedly be a worthwhile endeavor. So, Kal'tsit instructed Amiya to continue Kanna's test.

The subsequent basic tests repeatedly stunned the onlookers, as Kanna achieved the highest standards in both speed and physique.

The next tests in order should have been combat skills and Originium Arts adaptability.

Kal'tsit directly had Amiya skip the combat skills test. After all, with such physical prowess, combat required no elaborate techniques; sheer brute force could overwhelm almost all Operators in a fight.
