Chapter 54 - Chapter 54 It's an Apostle but not an EVA

"I see! So for two thousand meters, your choice, Nearl, is to run away!" Kanna nodded, indicating she understood Nearl's explanation.

"Run away?" Nearl was a bit confused; she truly didn't understand these strange words Kanna was spouting.

Kanna remembered that Nearl should have come to Rhodes Island with Pleasant Goat and Beautiful Goat, but she hadn't met the other two. For someone who often ran around, this was very strange. "By the way, Nearl, when did you come to Rhodes Island?"

"About a week ago. My two friends and I heard that Rhodes Island is a medical organization that serves the Infected, so we came to Rhodes Island together.

Because one of them was in very poor health, we had been staying in the special care ward of the Medical Department, personally looked after by Doctor Kal'tsit.

My friend's health only improved today. Doctor Kal'tsit said that Miss Lena's Greenhouse here is very suitable for recuperation, so she asked me to bring a letter, hoping that Miss Lena would accept my friend's proposal to come for recuperation."

So that was it. Because of Kal'tsit, she would try to avoid the Medical Department, let alone the severe illness area personally managed by Kal'tsit. Given Nearl and Shining's personalities, if Nightingale's health was very poor, they would definitely stay by her side and wouldn't wander outside. Moreover, meals for the severe illness area were delivered directly, so it was normal that she hadn't met them.

However, Kanna didn't continue the conversation but looked outside, because she heard Lena's footsteps. It seemed the treatment for Nightmare must have ended.

Nearl followed Kanna's gaze and saw a young woman walk in from outside.

Seeing Nearl, the young woman's eyes showed an expression of admiration. After all, such a heroic girl had a fatal attraction to those of the same gender.

"Hello, my name is Lena, and I am the temporary manager of this Greenhouse. Is there anything I can help you with?" Lena asked softly after entering.

Nearl also stood up from the stool. "Hello, Miss Lena, my name is Nearl. I have a friend who needs a place to recuperate due to the effects of oripathy. Doctor Kal'tsit recommended your recuperation garden to us, and I hope to receive your help."

With that, she handed Kal'tsit's letter to Lena.

Lena took the letter, read it carefully, and then nodded.

"Doctor Kal'tsit has explained the specific situation very clearly in the letter, and I am honored to be able to help you and your friend. I have independent rooms here specifically for patients who need long-term residence, which are quiet enough and I believe will fully meet your needs."

After speaking, Lena pointed to the back of the Greenhouse, where Kanna knew, as Lena said, were the accommodations prepared for patients who needed to stay in the recuperation room for a long time. Because most patients who came here needed quiet, even when Kanna and her friends came to play, they wouldn't go deep into that area.

Hearing Lena's words, Nearl looked very happy, because from the moment she entered, she had been surveying the place. Whether it was the temperature, humidity, or the scent of grass and flowers in the air, everything told her that this was an excellent place for recuperation.

"Thank you, Miss Lena. My friend is still waiting for a reply, so I won't linger any longer." Nearl gave Lena a very elegant knight's bow, then left the Greenhouse with a smile.

"Hey, hey, hey, stop looking, she's gone!" Even though Nearl had left, Lena's gaze remained fixed on the direction she disappeared. Kanna, below, couldn't help but shake her head. Yuri is infinitely good, but unfortunately, it can't bear fruit.

Lena turned around with a slight blush, walked to her spot, took out the registration book, and began registering the information from Kal'tsit's letter.

Because she wanted to see the black and white healers, Kanna didn't leave but sat there curiously, sipping juice while watching Lena busy herself with preparations for the patient's admission.

As for why she didn't help, there was nothing she could do. After all, she was too short and couldn't reach many things. Instead of getting in the way, it was better to sit quietly there. At least not obstructing Lena's actions was much more comfortable than trying to help and making things worse.

Half an hour later, Nearl's voice came from outside the Greenhouse. Lena hurried to the door and opened it, seeing Nearl leading two Sarkaz women towards them. One of them, dressed in pure white, sat in a wheelchair with a somewhat blank expression, while the other, completely enveloped in black, supported the wheelchair with one hand and held a long staff with the other, carefully following behind.

"Hello, everyone, I am 'Perfumer' Lena, the current person in charge of the recuperation room. This must be Miss Liz, who needs to enter for recuperation. There are vacant rooms in the recuperation room, and I have already tidied them up. You can move in now. Come, this way."

As she spoke, Lena gestured, guiding them towards the house.

Hearing Lena's words, the 'Happy Sheep' behind them visibly relaxed.

"Thank you, Miss Lena."

After some pleasantries, they entered.

Upon entering the Greenhouse, Shining nodded. As a doctor, she was very satisfied with the environment here and agreed that it was suitable for Liz to recuperate.

Halfway through, she felt eyes on her. Instinctively, she looked in the direction of the gaze and saw a small child, holding a bottle almost half her size and "drinking water?" while curiously looking over.

Lena noticed Shining's gaze and, thinking she was worried about a child being noisy and disturbing the patient's rest, quickly explained,

"That's Kanna. Don't let her age fool you; she's an Elite Operator personally appointed by Kal'tsit. She and leader Amiya often come here to rest, but they are both very well-behaved and won't make noise in the recuperation room, so please rest assured."

Shining nodded. She believed that whether as a qualified doctor or a flower enthusiast, if the child truly were mischievous, Lena would not have allowed her to stay there.

However, upon seeing Kanna, she momentarily felt an instinctive sense of fear, but the feeling came and went quickly, which is what puzzled her.

Kanna, gulping down her drink, praised inwardly, 'As expected of Shining, her mind is indeed very sharp. Just now, I was merely curious if her sword, which cuts day from night, could injure me, and so I had a fleeting thought of sparring, and she immediately sensed it.'

Because Nearl had told her what happened when she came to the recuperation room before, Shining also knew there was a child here. And just as she was still wondering about that feeling, Liz suddenly waved at Kanna.

The next second, accompanied by a violent contraction of her pupils and a rush of wind, she found the child who had been sitting in the small house now standing before her group.
