Chapter 8 - Chapter 8 — The Golden Sign of Destiny

For now, I didn't need subordinates.

Why waste precious points on average dark wizards when in a few centuries I would command armies that made kingdoms tremble? Odin's war wouldn't begin for hundreds of years—an eternity for me. Plenty of time to grow, to evolve, to master magic on a level that no god, witch, or dark lord had ever achieved.

So for now, I trained.

I studied.

And I grew.

I sat in the quietest corner of the Asgardian library, surrounded by shelves filled with ancient runes and grimoires that hummed with forgotten power. The golden light from the tall windows spilled across my open books, across my silver hair, across the pages of spells I absorbed effortlessly.

My fingers drifted across the interface only I could see.

Daily Sign-In: COMPLETEReward Obtained: Golden Treasure Chest

My heart skipped with anticipation.

Golden chests were rare. Very rare.

"Alright," I whispered to myself. "Let's see what my luck has blessed me with today."

The chest opened in a shimmer of gold and starlight.

And the rewards spilled out:

1. Tom Riddle's Diary — Horcrux Fragments (5/50)2. +200 System Points3. +5% Progress to Current Template

I blinked.

Then I smiled.

"Okay… I'm incurably lucky today."

The system chimed again—soft, powerful, reverent.

Sauron Template: 25% → 30%

And with that milestone came the flood.

A rush of ancient knowledge exploded through my mind—molten, heavy, overwhelming. My breath caught as centuries of forgotten craft, fire, metal, and will reshaped the very edges of my soul.

Legendary Blacksmith Talent AcquiredA forge roared behind my eyes. Metal obeyed me. Fire respected me. Creation itself waited on my will.

Essence of the Alchemist AcquiredPotions. Elixirs. Transmutations. Artefacts. My hands tingled with new instinct, new understanding.

And then—

Knowledge Unlocked: The Making of the Rings of Power

My entire body shivered as the forge of Eregion unfolded in my mind. Every rune, every enchantment, every secret, every betrayal. I knew how to create Rings of Power. Real ones.

Not toys.

Not fakes.

The real thing.

I closed my eyes as the last memory settled, breathing out slowly.

"I'm… terrifying," I whispered to myself.

A soft smile curved my lips.

"And I'm only getting started."
